Island of tranquility
Set apart the "religious" aspect, this place was famous during the Edo period as a "power spot" for curing eye-desease. It was founded by Kaga Ajari Niccho, the eleventh Abbot of Minobusan Kuon-ji, la...
Horinouchi Myohoji Temple, a soshi to ward off evil in Suginami Ward. The nearest station is Higashi Koenji Station on the Marunouchi Line. Nakano Station and Koenji Station for JR. From Nakano Station, there is a road where the remnants of the Horinouchi Road, which has been used for a long time, remain. There is a big signboard at Koenji Station and it stands out. When I entered the precincts, I heard a sutra reading. The graveyard was cleaned ahead of the equinoctial week, and some people offered flowers. I was able to taste the comfort in the world of silence.
It is a temple to ward off evil. It was a bigger temple than I had imagined, so I was slightly surprised. Apparently, there are buildings designated as tangible cultural properties in Tokyo and nationally designated important cultural properties. I heard the sutras and felt a sense of temple or extraordinary feeling.
The head temple of the evil ward. A temple with an old history of the Nichiren sect. The name 々 is also given to classical rakugo. On the day of 3, a fair is held on the approach. Every October, a ceremony is gorgeously held.
While the remnants of the first visit still remain, I visited Horinouchi Myohoji Temple of the Nichiren sect. At this time of year, I was able to enter the main hall, so I went inside and asked about the sutras, but it was not similar to the sutras of the Nichiren sect I knew. The sutra is also 々, and it may be used properly depending on the situation at that time, but honestly I felt uncomfortable.

Nostalgic.
