We were a bit surprised of the sheer height/length and width of this church to start with but after all it is where The Holy Birgitta had her "place2 a long time ago so its just right. Enjoy it

Vadstena is a beautiful small town on the banks of Lake Vättern, a town well worth a visit. Vadstena Klosterkyra is a well preserved medieval church, with a lot of history and impressive artifacts....

Beautiful old Abbey church from the 14th century. Really nice vaulting and plenty of impressive woodcut sculptures throughout the church. The two main wooden altar pieces were particularly interesting...
