Not so impressive
The castle is not so amazing compared to otherds nearby and it did take a bit of finding. It's just about worh the walk from the parking area to the castle itself, and it is free

On a wet day another castle this time Wiston castle, walk along the path past the houses and the little ruin of Wiston castle can be found, well worth it.
Cared for by CADW and open access between 10am-4pm daily, definitely worth a visit to add to the list of Welsh castles visited. Village church also worth a look at.
There isn’t a tremendous amount of this castle left but it’s a pretty enough spot and you can pass 20-30 minutes or so wandering around the ruins. I wouldn’t necessarily make a special visit but it’s ...
