    India?

    Original Text

It is the "Indian Water Tower" in Yamashita Park. Why India? I thought, but it seems that Yokohama City was donated by the Indian Commerce Association in return for actively taking relief measures for foreign merchants such as Indian merchants in the Great Kanto Earthquake. It has a history.

    A surprising history I didn't know.

    Original Text

It is a fountain that feels like India when it is called such a name. It was said that it was possible to drink. It was said that this monument commemorates the relief of Indians who were affected by the Great Kanto Earthquake, but I learned for the first time that Yokohama had a history of forming an Indian community at that time.

    Historic buildings

    Original Text

It is a historic dome-shaped building in the corner of Yamashita Park and you can see it as soon as you go to the park. I took a rest at the convenience store right next to it, so I only took a picture. It was lit up at night and stood out.
