English speakers:Great museum. If you want an English speaking guide, this must be arranged a day in advance (and naturally paid for). some great catalogs in English, and a particularly superb/unusually comrehensive pottery collection. silk route objects also spectacular. Note many of the buddhist statues are reproductions. Nice cafe.

A meaningful comprehensive museum that can experience the rich and colorful Gansu culture and Chinese culture. Please let Wang Qihe of Yougui culture do the explaination, the explanation is serious, and the content is rich. I feel the enthusiasm of the Gansu people and the pride in my own culture. Because I came from afar, I have increased the time of the explanation. I hope that more people will come to Gansu to experience the Gansu Provincial Museum.
The treasure hunt of Gansu Museum, the largest museum in Gansu, is the only comprehensive museum with the theme of Silk Road in China. It is a place to learn about the history and culture of northwest Gansu, the beauty of the vicissitudes of Gansu, the bronze benma, the fossil, the Buddhist art exhibition, the Silk Road, The history of the pottery is here to introduce, there are volunteers to provide free explanation. Outlander visitors, if time is sufficient, may come here to learn about the culture, tickets with ID card free.
A total of three floors, worth going, convenient appointment, brushing the reservation code to enter the museum, and cultural relics coffee a try, sighing the ancient silk road show brilliant, pottery and bronzes to raise the superb artistic standards, Buddhism spread is also a big point to see.
The picture tiles displayed in the Lanzhou Provincial Museum are very distinctive. The one we are most familiar with is the portrait brick of the “poster map” as the symbol of China Post. This was unearthed in the tombs of the Wei and Jin Dynasties in 1972. The picture bricks are a true portrayal of social life at that time, and the post office map is the most complete of them, expressing vividly the situation of the post post in the northwest region more than a thousand years ago.
