_GG***34Life time experience, must visit one time in your life. We enjoyed Luang Prabang very much and plan to visit again in near future. Thanks to Trip.com that made my booking very very easy both flights & Hotels.
wic***itPatuxay means Victory Gate and is located right in the center of the capital of Laos. It was built to remember the soldiers who fought for independence from France. It was designed by a Laotian architect and when I view the monument, I feel that it looks a bit like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. We bought tickets to go up the top. The city view is so breathtaking and we could see four directions. Before reaching the top, we saw four towers at four corners which look as nice as the main monument. On the ground there are very nice palm trees and ponds. Traffic around the monument looks like no one is rushing as all are passing through a very beautiful symbol of the country. The monument and decorations are stunning to me. I’m so impressed.
Zaid A.Laos is most bombed country per capita in the history of the world. Many of the bombs dropped during the Vietnam war never exploded and have caused harm to farmers and children that accidentally encounter them. The C.O.P.E center is a non-profit organization that serves to provide prosthetic limbs to the victims of the 30% of undetonated ordnance (unexploded bombs) that still remain in much of the country to date.
春风不曾谋面The Palace Museum is the best place to be in Luang Prabang for the first tour. The building is not very historic and was originally built on the banks of the Mekong River in 1904 as the residence of the then king and his family. After the king died in 1959, his son succeeded to the throne, and in the 1975 revolution, the palace was turned into a museum. The location of the Chinese name Wanggong Museum is the opening time of Luang Prabang 8:00~11:30, 14:00-16:00. The best play season for the boutique golden Buddha statues closed on Tuesday will have a different experience in Luang Prabang during the dry season and the rainy season. Most tourists will choose the dry season.
柯克哥I have long heard that Vang Vieng is known as the most relaxing place in Laos. The scenery here is beautiful, with limestone hills, verdant rivers, and dense vegetation, much like the scenery of Guilin. You can drift in the water, you can swim and dive, you can play hot air balloons in the sky, and explore caves in the underground. I don’t want to play anymore. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants by the river, and you can order a pot of tea or coffee, blowing the river breeze. Looking at the scenery, you can sit all day.
Visiting the Kuang Si waterfalls is the best thing I’ve done in Luang Prabang, Laos. The turquoise waters cascading into the these tiered pools made of limestone makes it really Insta-worthy!
The best part is that you can also take a dip in the turquoise waters at certain allocated areas! But please take note of the signs that says no swimming in certain areas as some of the pools are considered sacred to the locals. There are toilets at the lower levels of the waterfall for you to change. You can also bring some snacks and drinks to picnic at one of the tables there after your swim. Remember to bring along some mosquito repellent though!
Opening Hours: Daily from 8am to 5.30pm
Entrance fee: 20,000 kip
Hike from bottom to top: Takes around 15-20 mins and it’s a easy hike.

Vang Vieng is a small town north of Vientiane, on the Nam Song River in Laos. It's surrounded by striking limestone mountains and caves. Tham Poukham, to the west, is a cave with a blue-green lagoon and a reclining Buddha statue. North is the deep Tham Nam Cave, which has a spring at its entrance. You can stay anywhere between three to five nights in Vang Vieng, depending on how much time you want to spend relaxing.
However, three nights allows enough time to see and do most of what this beautiful spot in the Karst Mountains has to offer.
The best time to visit Vang Vieng is during dry season from October to April.
This is the most popular time to visit Laos, meaning increased prices but there are also more things to do in Vang Vieng during this time, including tubing, kayaking and hot air ballooning.
If you do decide to visit in the off-peak months of May to September, during rainy season, be prepared for heavy downpours, and a lack of water sports as the Nam Song river flows too strongly.
However, during this time the rice paddies in Vang Vieng are incredibly lush and beautiful, and you can still do activities like indoor yoga when it rains in Vang Vieng.
Sofitel #luangprabang is an elegant hotel in #laos with a huge compound amid lush greenery.
The buildings are old colonial style and the pool is nice and relaxing. Rooms are also big and spacious. The hotel has a shuttle that brings you to town as the hotel is not so near the shopping street or markets.
In addition, you can also enjoy free afternoon snacks and cocktails by the pool where you can lounge all day and read a book.
The hotel also has a #spa and the massages they provide at the spa is fantastic!
location is not too far away from the airport and to get around you either need your own transport or take public transport to town or their shuttle.
🗺️Vientiane is the capital of Laos.
Getting around the city is very easy! You can easily take a taxi, bus or tuk-tuk for a cheap price!
📸Here are the must if you are visiting the city just for a couple of days:
🏬Lao National Museum
⛩️Patuxai (Victory Gate)
🛕Wat Si Saket ( oldest standing temple in the city)
🪨Buddha Park (outside the city, bus way is beautiful)
💸Laos is a cheap country you can find a lot of restaurants and hotels for half of an average price in China. For example, a room in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Vientiane cost around 300 RMB.
🏨 We stayed in Vientiane Garden Villa Hotel, is very recommended! It's in the city center, has a nice swimming pool and the price is very affordable (150 RMB).
⭐⭐⭐⭐ We love the city and we definitely be back!
#kaungsi #waterfall near #luangprabang is a really scenic place to visit when in #laos
It is a a short drive away from Luang Prabang and makes an excellent day trip either via a package tour or book your own transport to get there.
The waterfall is three tiered and the path a well paved and makes it an easy and safe trek up for most people.
There is also a viewing deck to take photos and admire the waterfall up and it’s turquoise blue water up close.
It is really a must go if you are in Luang Prabang!

One of the activities to do in Vang Vieng is going hiking. There are many hiking places around Vang Vieng. One of these is the Pha Ngern View Point Top.
I would say the hiking will take around 2-2.5 hours. The start of the journey is fine, if you walk fast, you can be able to reach the mid point where there are stones you can sit in 30-40 minutes. After that the hiking became tougher such as you need to climb up using the rope and walking on stone.
But when you reach the view point, it will be the sweet point, there are people at the view point that is selling snacks and drinks. Also, there is a place where you can take a sit (from my first image).
The tough part is not really taking pictures, as there are net below to protect you. But it is going down the mountain, it was so slippery. Although it wasn’t raining but it makes everything feel so scary.
Note: Don’t hike when it’s raining!
#mgallery 3 nagas #luangprabang is a great #hotel to stay when you are on #vacation in #laos
Centrally located and beautifully preserved, it is located near the Main Street and has a beautiful compound and restaurant. Rooms are also tastefully decored keeping with its western and traditional influence.
No swimming pool at this hotel but there is a frequent shuttle to the wonderful Sofitel Luang Prabang if you like to swim or lounge by the pool.
Don Khon features a tropical wet and dry climate. While the city is generally very warm throughout the year, it is noticeably cooler during December and January. Don Khon also experiences wet and dry seasons, with the wet season from April until October, and the dry season during the remaining five months. Temperatures range from 15°C to 38°C. Located not very near town. Around 10 minutes ride.
One of my favourite cafe in Vientiane!
The cafe is previously the owner’s home, then they converted it into a retro cafe. Love the concept of the cafe that is mixture of 80’s and 90’s time.
Highly recommend for cafe hopping lovers!
