This Mary King Lane is a special place I have never been to, and the old-fashioned image really gives me a feeling of crossing and gives us a specially good feeling of the old time aftertaste
Mary King Alley is a very dark street, it has been a very innocent incident, very mysterious place, free visit, take pictures, there is not too much to see, it takes a time to walk here. [view] is very elegant [price/quality] quite high [interest] is very fun [view]
The famous "Mary King Street" and "South Bridge Mantle" finally found that the alley below the hotel had been marked by ghosts at the time. The series of coincidences were simply chilling and loved the "ghostly" city
Mary King Lane, a narrow basement under a building in the Old City of Edinburgh, once housed more than seven hundred people in a very narrow building, where they were buried after being killed by the plague, now has a building model. You need a guided tour to get the experience
Fascinating view of Edinburgh in the 17th century. The Close (a system of alleyways and courtyards), in the Old Town, was partially demolished and buried due to the building of the Royal Exchange in the 18th century. There are many myths and urban legends associated with the close - tales of murders and hauntings make this quite an eerie visit, particularly since this is entirely underground.
You might think this is a tourist trap, but it’s one of the best ways to explore Edinburgh’s history and have fun at the same time. If you’re a stick-in-the-mud then don’t go, because you do need to participate to have fun.
Spooky, fun and interesting. Roam through Edinburgh's long-forgotten old streets underneath the City above.
The Real Mary King's Close is a hidden gem of Edinburgh. You are paying only 15 pounds per person and in return you are getting the wonderful tour of the city's undergrounds! You can see how people lived in the past and learn a lot about the history of Scotland. It was great.
Fascinating view of the old town and how life was lived. Bit gimmicky but don't let that put you off.
