Ilulissat Icefjord

Greenland's Iranian Luisate Ice Bay is a very famous bay on Greenland Island. Greenland is very large and it is the largest island in the world. But here is very cold all year round due to the Arctic Circle. Not suitable for tourism.

From the bottom of the mountain, I climbed up at 11:00 and walked for about 2 hours to the outer edge of the Blue Line hiking route. From the height of the mountain, the ice fjord was filled with icebergs of different shapes, large and small, and the sun was shining with a blue light, which was pleasing to the eye. The sea of the ice fjord is calm like a smooth mirror, and ice of different shapes lie on it, enjoying the warm sunshine. The blue sky, the white glacier in the fjord, the red mountain grass in the tundra, constitute a blue, white and red world. Just follow the signs along the way, painted blue stones, you can walk around the ice fjord back to the town. I entered the blue line from the periphery, and turned over one hillside after another, and the slope was the most beautiful section of the blue line. Along the way, I also met many tourists from other countries. It is rare to meet in this place and I will be happy to say hello and encourage each other. In the ice fjord under the hillside, there are endless ice cubes in various shapes, which is really breathtaking. The most beautiful section of the blue line took about two hours to pat and walk. Going down again, it is close to the end of the blue line. There is a long artificial plank road, one side of the hillside to connect the ice fjord by the sea, and the other side to connect the town. The sky had begun to dim, and the icy fjord in the valley was cold and silent. It was a little chilling to go down to the seaside of the icy fjord. The residual embers of the sunset, reflected on the glacier on the sea, were like a layer of gold powder, and everything around them felt so sad and beautiful.

If you want to see huge icebergs on boats near the fjords it is spectacular. It’s not cheap to go or stay in Ilisolin, but attractions like this are worth the money. I went on a two-boat tour a few days ago and both were similar but the weather was clearer the next day. One very important thing is to be prepared if you are traveling in the summer. It usually feels much colder on a boat than walking around town, so be sure to wear lots of warm clothes if you have mobility problems and you may struggle to climb down from the boat, their usual process of climbing ladders from deck to top of the pier. Another option to watch icebergs is to choose a yellow or blue hiking route. The yellow is beautiful and short (you can walk in an hour) and doesn’t need to climb like much longer blue. It also takes you along the coast of the fjord, where you can take a boat tour, so you can see the same icebergs from the mountains above.

The world heritage site Kangia Fjord is spectacular, the fastest and most active glacier in the world, and is named the world’s largest ice sculpture park because it produces more ice sculptures every year than any glacier outside Antarctica!

Greenland in the Arctic Circle has a very famous tourist destination, Ilulisate Ice Bay is one of them, many tourists are not far from the famous, here to punch in and take pictures, everyone come to see it!
