Caesar Metro Taipei

This was my second time staying at Caesar Metro Taipei, and unfortunately, it was a completely different experience from my first visit. During my initial stay, I really enjoyed the clean room; it smelled fresh the moment I walked in and the staff were genuinely helpful. That positive impression is what brought me back. However, my second stay fell far short of expectations. It was during Chinese New Year, so the hotel was packed with guests. Check-in took a very long time, and waiting for the lift felt endless. The room itself was not as clean as before, and the walls were so thin that we could hear people walking by and noise from the next room throughout our stay. The worst part was the atmosphere. The lobby was overcrowded with luggage and people, making it feel more like a busy market than a hotel. The personalized service I had experienced before was completely missing; the staff were clearly overwhelmed. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay. I understand holidays are busy, but the drop in quality was hard to overlook.

This is my third or fourth time staying here in the last two years. The location is perfectly located in the heart of Wanhua District and there are many historic places one can visit. I really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood for local delicacy, many of them have been there for many years and are recognized by the Michelin guide. Normally my complaint would be the elevators. They were usually slow but not this time. May be because of right after the Chinese New Year and not too many tourists are staying here. I’m sure it will be busy again very soon.

Room is a little small for 3 pax however location is very good just a few minute walk away.

Toilet area requires improvement as the setting need the user to step out from the toilet in order to obtain cloths. (No places to store)

Hotel is located at Wan Hwa district, nearby is that fame Hwa Xi street for local street food, lobby is above the Wan Hwa train station, which for many whom wanted to go visit Jiu Fen, you could just hop on to the train & alight at Rui Fang, so to me is kind of convenient, the city MTR is just a 5 min walk from the lobby, and one stop away is the fame Xi Men Ting tourist belt.

Decent option located in the 萬華 district in Taipei. Very accessible but the neighbourhood is home to a lot of sketchy/homeless folks so take note of that. The hotel is extremely busy, and there is always a long wait for the elevators. However, it is clean and still in great condition, so if you're traveling in a larger group and needing more space, without breaking the bank, definitely give this hotel a shot.
