Sunshine Yi Hotel Haitang Bay, Sanya (previously a 1 Hotel)

This stay was such a pleasant surprise! I was truly touched by Yulia's attentive service throughout. From guiding me through check-in to responding to my requests, she was incredibly thoughtful, detailed, and patient, making me feel so welcome. The hotel's overall environment is clean and elegant, with a comfortable flow in its design. Both the public areas and guest rooms are tastefully decorated, creating a quiet and soothing atmosphere that made for a truly relaxing stay. The breakfast at 'Yi Chu' offered a rich variety of delicious options – hot dishes, freshly squeezed juices, and desserts galore. The fresh ingredients were perfect for starting the day on a high note. The view from the Sky Bar on the top floor was absolutely stunning, offering fantastic panoramic cityscapes. Sitting there in the evening breeze was incredibly pleasant. The suspended pool was another highlight; the water was crystal clear, and the environment felt open and bright. After a swim, I could enjoy the surrounding leisurely scenery – it was a perfect experience. Overall, the value for money was excellent, and I couldn't find a single flaw. Highly recommend!

Traveling with kids was a bit challenging, but our butler Wincy was super responsive and helped us resolve a lot of issues. The pool is heated, the service is excellent, and the environment is lovely, which is why we decided to extend our stay in Sanya by an extra day. Service: The concierge proactively asked if we needed assistance, and luggage service was available. The front desk was also very quick to respond. Cleanliness: Very clean. Facilities: New.

Wincy's butler service was excellent, very patient. The hotel check-in experience was also great. Finding a hotel with a sea view like this during peak season is truly a hidden gem! The hotel breakfast was also delicious.

The biggest highlight of the room is definitely the sea view. Being a full ocean-view room, and luckily on the top floor (10th), the view was fantastic! We could see the boats going to and from Wuzhizhou Island from Haitang Bay. The infinity heated pool was also very popular, with people enjoying it all day. On the day we checked in, around 10 AM, we even saw a 'mermaid' swimming in the pool, visible from the lobby – quite a beautiful sight! For me, the biggest downside of the room was that the washroom area wasn't fully separated from the main room. This meant that after sleeping there for one night, there was a noticeable sewage smell. After the room was cleaned on the second day, when we returned from being out, the smell was gone. I'm not sure if it had something to do with whether the drain cover was blocked or not. The breakfast was very rich and varied. They had all the usual hotel breakfast items, plus local Hainanese specialties like 'Zaopo Vinegar' and Partridge Tea. A big plus for me was the freshly squeezed juices – cucumber, watermelon, apple, and more! The sea salt nut milk was also delicious. We booked a room that included a BBQ buffet, which turned out to be a hot pot and BBQ buffet – it was amazing! We ate until we were stuffed! There's an underpass from beneath the infinity pool that leads to the beach. The waves were quite strong in the afternoon, and the sand was a bit coarse, so it wasn't the best underfoot, but the visual experience was superb – the sea was so beautiful! On our last day, the elevator seemed to have an issue. When we tried to go up, the downward-moving elevator would also open. We're not sure what the problem was, as this hadn't happened during the first two days. Adding the concierge on WeChat was a nice touch. It was convenient to contact them for anything we needed or any questions we had.
