Elia Fatma Boutique Hotel

We were underwhelmed in total and for the price we paid we expected better service. The room in general was nice but dark. Positive: the breakfast lady did an amazing job. She is all alone preparing the food, cleaning and servicing... The beds were comfortable! Negative things to point out: we chose the hotel due to the fact that it is marketed as "adult only", however the breakfast room is shared and there were families with kids. I dont see the point of having "adult only" written... i think it is false information and misleading to the customer. Our coffee machine was broken. We told the cleaning lady and the receptionist. It never got repaired nor even looked at. For me this is poor service attitude even though it only is the coffee machine we are talking about. I would not recommend the hotel, expecially there are so much better places in Chania in that price range.

Everything was great apart from the safe in my room which had to be fixed before it would work and there was no coffee machine in the room which I asked for and it was provided. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The shower was great as was the breakfast. All the staff were very helpful and kind.

We stayed here two nights, the hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and close to the Chania harbor. Loved it! The only complaint I have, is that the free bottle of wine had a terrible taste.

We visited Elia Fatma for 2 nights. Let’s start with the location. I think there is not a better spot to stay in the old city, right below the hotel is the old Harbour and the narrow streets of Chania Town. It’s a boutique hotel which is a renovated building. The reception is in another hotel. The staff was friendly. The room was big with character. It has very special design with some east references. In particular, I distinguished the mini closet room, which was very convenient and saved us a lot of space. Regarding with the breakfast, I am very satisfied with it. It has big variety and tasty choices. Many of them are Cretan delicacies, including many pies like lichnarakia, kaltsounia, spinach pie etc. and sweets like cheesecake, apple pie m,donuts etc. . A pros is the fresh squeezed orange juice and the cool lemonade. A con is that some things like croissants, bread etc.are from the previous day and that is visible to all the guests the night. Hence the bread was stale. Unfortunately, there was not an elevator or ramp. So it was difficult for us to carry the luggage to the upper floors and it’s not accessible hotel. I was informed that it’s not possible due to it’s an old building and they can’t intervene, but I think for a 4* star hotel they should have taken care of that. Another problem was that in the room there wasn’t enough natural light. The existence of a little window could not cover the whole room and we could barely see even in the middays. Finally, I think the price could be better for low season. Be prepared: there is no parking and it’s difficult to find, cause the old city is pedestrian zone. Therefore calculate that you will leave your car 10-15’ far. To conclude I would select this hotel again and I rated with 5* because I liked the location and the breakfast. However, there is room for improvement.

We arrived on a short trip to beautiful Chania. As we came in late at night, we were informed that the front desk is located nearby at Elia Zampeliou Hotel and it is open 24 hours daily. The hotel has a front desk as you could see in the picture but it is just for decoration. This firm has various hotels in the Old City nearby so I guess it is more economical to them having one reception desk. The hotel and the rooms are excellent in a great location, with 2 friendly ladies in charge of cleaning, and preparing great breakfast. On our last day, we approached the front desk to book a Taxi to the airport and keep our language while still touring the town, and when we got back to the reception to pick up the gear and get instructions on how to reach the driver (no cars can enter this part of the city so we need instruction how to reach the meeting point), to our great disappointment, the font desk was closed! we waited half an hour trying to call the numbers we had with no success. Eventually, we communicated with Wattsapp but didn't like the excesses of No Front Desk services, and as they gave us the entry code we took off our gear and went to find our way to the airport not to miss our flight. We will surely arrive again in Chania for a longer stay but never use this firm again! Only a hotel with Front Desk services not just collects the payment upon arrival but gives services when the customers are leaving.

The staff were fantastic. Antoni and Despina were extremely helpful. We changed hotels after the first night because our A/C wasn’t working. The breakfast is top notch! Location was central to everything.

Right in the heart of Chania's old quarter and (literally) a stone's throw from th harbour, this is the perfect base for enjoying this beautiful place and exploring its surroundings. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with the added bonus of a private terrace. The breakfast was spectacular. And the people were unfailingly friendly and helpful. All in all, a delightful experience.

Great to be on the old town , really helpful staff and loved room with balcony

Just spent a couple of nights with my family at Elia Fatma and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had two lovely rooms on the same level. The hotel itself is extremely clean, quiet, and charming. The staff (Dimitra at the front desk, and Gianna at the restaurant), is beyond helpful and will assist you with anything and everything you need, covered with a smile and big level of hospitality. Breakfast was in a charming, colorful room and no one wish was a problem for Gianna. Great location in the old town. There's really nothing negative I can say about the Fatma Boutique, especially if our accommodation will be comparing with the room charge.
