Unfortunately not keen on this Hotel. The cleanliness was not good. I have travelled many islands and have stayed in hotels of the same price, I don’t feel it meets the usual price range standards. Food was reasonable, but tended to eat elsewhere. Found some very pleasant restaurants nearby. Location very sweet by the sea. But have had locations like this before but hotels typically nicer. Location nice. Definitely I expected more!!

On Arriving at this establishment the initial experience was outstanding with a great coastal location. We had booked 2 rooms, 1 was a sea view room, the other set back. A table was booked for the evening inside with pleasant surroundings. It wasn't until we started to order things fell apart. The starters were garlic mushrooms and one of anchovies. A staff member eventually returned with 2 garlic mushrooms and 1 Anchovies, with a spare plate and also a comment of you will have to share the mushrooms between the 3 of you as we have run out. Are you not supposed to ask the customer to select an alternative before serving or am I missing something? The anchovies of six or seven was a staggering 9 euro's. On placing the mains order to then be told all the seafood or Rib eye steak was not available we are closing down soon. After finishing the meal we put the bill on the Room as we were booked for 3 nights, but as we left to retire to our room's the woman at reception rushed out in front of us demanding we paid up immediately in an extremely aggressive manor. We then commented what the service and lack of items on the menu consisted of but did not refuse to pay the bill. The staff at reception ramped up the aggression, and at one point tried to grab my phone accusing me of filming them, when I was clearly browsing on a booking site and she didn't think to apologize. The Manager then turned up in his car and asked why we had a problem. He kept accusing us of refusing to pay which was not the truth, also accused us of being drunk which clearly was not the case. On returning to our room's destroyed by the unbelievable aggression for no reason. Minutes after returning to the room the police arrived after being called by the staff and management. The police minutes after drove away as they realised they had been called out unnecessarily. To summarize I would say this was my worst experience on the Cyclades islands, and we have been on the Greek islands for the last 24 years. A poor reflection of the otherwise fantastic Greek friends we know and love so much. This is a poor overpriced, tired excuse of a luxury Hotel with the worst customer experience level. The following morning we paid for rooms, and meal, cutting 2 days off our original booking.

As mentioned by several others, the grounds are beautiful, and you are on the beach. The staff is very gracious, and the beach bar and cocktails are very nice, these are the pros. The cons are, it is a $30-$40 taxi ride from anything (due tio a half mile very rustic road) . Driving a rental car in Greece is questionable. Narrow streets, lots of motorcycles , lots of pedestrians and twisty, narrow roads. Without a car, you are fairly trapped at this resort. The restaurant was good, but not great. I was traveling with my mom, who has difficulty with stairs. When we requested a downstairs room our price went up $150 per night. The resort was half empty, so this was really just taking advantage of a disability. There were also many hornets which made outdoor dining a challenge. The grounds were very pretty, but I would be hesitant to stay here again.

Medusa is comfortable and right on the beach. The staff can't do enough. The beach bar and resauratent is situated in pleasant grounds and the bar itself has decks looking over the sea and longers which are right on the water. Sea is beuatiful to swin in.

Lovely, quirky small hotel right on the beach. We stayed in a family suite , the rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. Beautiful location although is quite remote. I would recommend a car / quad as the nearest restaurants and shop are about a 20 minute walk.

My extended family (including 3 toddlers) and us stayed at Medusa for 8 nights. Great rooms, super clean, great staff, amazing food and bar. Walk to the beach or the pool from your room. The Medusa beach is for guests and it is not crowded at all. Highly recommend it.

This resort is a gem! My wife and I had booked to stay here for our honeymoon in 2020, however, this was sadly postponed until July 2022 due to the Pandemic. The resort ensured that we had a great time, and they upgraded us to a Junior Suite for our stay due to all the disruption we had faced. The staff at the resort are incredibly cheerful, friendly and helpful. We were greeted instantly upon arrival and given a tour of the resort. We were provided with a welcome drink at the end of the tour while we sat looking out at the beach. It was easy to have a chat with the staff and they went out of their way on my birthday to ensure that it was also a special day. The Medusa is located about 30 minutes from the port of Naxos on the beautiful Plaka beach and it was easy enough to get a bus back to the Port to explore. The bus stop is about 1km up the beach and tickets are able to be purchased at the shop beside the bus stop. The resort has such a lovely vibe and while being a family friendly resort, was also very peaceful and relaxing. It has a lovely sized pool and if you fancy a swim in the sea then it is only a few metres away. The food was of an incredibly high standard and the portion sizes were excellent. We ate at the Medusa a lot simply because the food was so good. If you want a relaxed beach hotel then this is your spot. We absolutely loved our stay at the Medusa and we were so sad to have to leave it and move on. We would love to come back here again! Thank you Medusa for such a relaxing and enjoyable honeymoon! We had 4 nights on Naxos, and had made the mistake of booking into a hotel which was perfectly nice, but in the wrong location for us. Fortunately we found ourselves on Plaka Beach on day 2 and popped intoa charming beach bar for a drink. The bar was idyllic, the staff relaxed, warm and friendly, and the iced coffee was sublime. We explored further and found that this bar was part of the Medusa Hotel. We knew immediately that we wanted to move to this hotel, and fortunately we got the last two rooms available. The hotel is everything we hoped we would find on our island hopping holiday. Family run (and clearly designed with love and enthusiasm), relaxed, lovely pool, great outdoor space with plenty of shade, excellent restaurant, excellent bar, excellent staff, clean rooms in great condition, characterful common parts design, accomodating and highly competent management team (still family run, but now 2nd generation), outdoor yoga studio, wonderful beach in front of the hotel and wonderfully remote location. We absolutely loved this hotel and are looking forward to going back in September.

Stayed here 5 nights (last week). The resort is on a fabulous 6 mile (plaka) beach with stunning sea lapping up to the resorts decking and sun beds. Our room was comfortable with a nice balcony (real suntrap). The hotel is in some stunning grounds and the breakfast is lovely served by friendly, helpful staff. A lovely chilled out place. Small cons: we visited 3 Greek Islands on this trip and were shocked at how expensive alcohol was. Medusa was selling a red wine for €28 that was €7.80 up the beach in a min Market (the same wine!). 2 halves of draft lager from the beach bar was €10. We are not tight by any means, but paying way over the odds for average produce rankles a tad. The resorts restaurant was over priced and of a poor standard. Frozen oven chips and chicken breasts you would find in the bargain bin at Iceland . The problem with this is (I know is sounds contradictory) the location! You are not told (even when you ask!) that there are any shops or restaurant alternatives nearby! We were told on arrival that there was a small expensive bakery 200mtrs away and we would needto hire a car for anything bigger. This was not true. Turn right at the beach and there are 2 mini/super markets 15 minutes walk away. There are also 4 restaurants in the same direction that do nice food and wine with views of the sea. Cats. I like cats but the resort is overcrowded with them and they are not discouraged by staff to leave dining areas and can be a nuisance. Because of the beautiful gardens bring some mozzie spray if they are partial to you. I couldn't mark this less than 5* even with the cons stated. The location on the beach is stunning and now i know the area I would definitely go back to this place
