We had a brilliant time. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The accommodation was amazing and on a beautiful setting next to the river. Plus, the Safari was definitely a highlight of our hole trip. Thank you.

An fabulous set up in an amazing setting. It was the perfect base for our safari in Udawalawa. We loved the glamping rooms, which set the scene for our jeep adventure into the national park. The grounds were spacious and facilities great, it was like staying in a small village. The pools and river to cool off in whilst watching the wildlife were much appreciated. Pool side cocktails in the evening were an added bonus and the food was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and attentive.

Had a super stay - fabulous two swimming pools and beautiful setting by the river. Great Sti Lankan food too buffet breakfast and dinner. Family tents are comfortable - double and two single beds with mosquito nets. A hide away retreat set amongst the jungle. Super safari and great weather.

Fantastic stay in this peaceful place Hosts are really great we enjoyed our stay Rooms are perfect and it’s a nice starter before the safari You get an nice experience close to the river and the food is great You are really outside of the touristic place Highly recommended

The staff are so friendly and always ready to help however they can. The food is delicious - they offer traditional dishes as well as western style meals. The setting is relaxing & the naughty monkeys you can see from your room provide hours of entertainment ☺️

We stayed here only one night but the experience was amazing. We had a deluxe ‘tent’ close to the river but only 1 minute from the reception area. A BBQ was laid on for the evening and we dined adjacent to the river. The food was very good and this was a wonderful experience. We were concerned that the ‘open air’ en-suite attached to our room would be an issue with insects/monkeys etc but we were not bothered by any- which might be pure luck! It was amazing sleeping so close to the wildlife and hearing the various birdsongs and animals nearby. This is definitely worth trying out and very handy for the nearby safari park.

we slept in a deluxe tent closed to the river. The feeling was amazing and the atmosphere in the place was a so good experience. All facilities are present good meal confort of the room, wilde area and very good staff. we staid 2 nights and it was as relaxing time as expected. We recommand this place

We had rented 3 standard tent rooms and stayed here for 2 nights. In general, we were very satisfied with the stay. The staff acted friendly and welcoming. The rooms were quite excellent, even if the tent cloth bears the mark of many years of wear. The bathroom was ok and there was hot water and a good shower. It was nice and clean everywhere. The breakfast was a buffet and it was quite outstanding. For dinner, we tried both their barbecue and a la carte dishes. Both were excellent, but it should be noted that the prices are on the high end. There are two excellent swimming pools. All in all, we can recommend staying overnight at Athgira River Camping. The only downside was that a small fridge and an electric kettle were missing. Also note that there is no air conditioning in the tents.

A wonderful experience: camping in luxury just as if we were on an African safari with en suite facilities. Buffet dinner and breakfast which were both good, although the many groups of Dutch tourists had ravaged the place before us.. The pool area around the rooms was a delight to swim in, very clean and well looked after. Nice helpful staff.
