Skiathos Palace Hotel

Had the greatest and most relaxing holiday in the Palace this September. We were afraid that due to the storms the hotel whole experience in the island wouldn't be that good. However everything seemed to be up and running. Hotel staff was great and service was good. Breakfast was nice with lots of fruits and pastry to choose from. Reception was honestly fantastic ! they had information about everything in the island, from what was operating to what was not and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Pool area was also nice with the pool bar having great views and the bar staff always being up for a chat. Overall a great experience and September a great month to visit cause the island -and hotel- is not overcrowded. We recommend !

we arrived at the end of august and it was meant to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary as we went to skiathos for our honeymoon 30 years ago. we thought we would push the boat out and stay at this hotel. big mistake. the room was filthy and a toilet that still had the remains of the previous guest was not a good start. we went to the bar for a drink while the room was being cleaned and were charged 18 euros for a beer and a malibu and coke. no tea or coffee making facilities in the room ,the air conditioning barely worked and one night water was pouring into the room from the unit. the reception staff are so rude and if they did not want to be bothered to sort out your problem they said they did not understand. as usual as i have found before if you dont tip the staff every time they serve you they then ignore you. this is not a 4 star hotel but at the end of our stay we were chrged 4 euros per night tax which apparently is the rate for a 5 star. they rip you off every chance they get. i could go on for ever about how bad this place is but all i want to say is .thank you skiathos palace hotel for making this one of the worst and most expensive holidays we have ever had

We were so amazed by the views that we ordered breakfast in the room every day and enjoyed it on the balcony! Food were amazing with so many options. Rooms were big with private lounges on the balcony and comfortable bedding. Staff were really helpful and gave us so many information about the island.

We visited skiathos palace hotel mid July 2 weeks and arrived quite late around 11 pm we was pleasantly surprised how nice the reception staff were after reading reviews here saying they was rude after we put our stuff in the room we went to the rooftop restaurant where we first met joy the waitress who told us even though it was empty don’t worry we are open till 12 30 am this lady also works the morning breakfast and I must say she is magnificent he English is perfect as she was born in USA but she is Greek and taught us a few words if anyone from management reads this make her a manager anyway back to the hotel the pool is a nice size although being peek season beds are gone by 10-30 am views are magnificent the only pain was our room that was a basic room we knew this as we paid a very cheap price (booked in January while lockdown rules were around) it’s not good that they put guests in this room really as we got no sunlight and the view was depressing just a rock after 1 week my girlfriend asked if we could change rooms and we was in luck and the guy she asked was the supervisor and. He said pack your stuff in the morning and.go beach when you come back you will have a sea view she said how much he said no charge wow why did we wait 1 week to ask lol. Overall the hotel was good not great staff are nice some don’t speak very good English and they seem rude but it’s just they get stressed not being able to understand and I am told they all work 7 days a week no days off so bear this in mind and a lot of the staff are still young kids again bear that in mind the breakfast is good the restaurant good is a bit bland to be honest the shuttle bus to town needs to be booked the day before and is a bit of a pain as 1 bus a hour with 12 seats for a hotel with 256 rooms needs changing and in ran 6pm 7 and 8 like no one goes out at 9 ( it was still sunny and people on the beach at 8) the stairs are hard from the road especially after a few drinks like one of the reviews said get a golf buggy and give one of the young porters the job they will earn a fortune in tips we actually got taxis home some nights just to avoid the walk would I return maybe I have been coming to skiathos over 20 years and I always wanted to try this place it was not as good as I wanted it to be but the views are really good )

We have just had the most gorgeous holiday in this beautiful hotel. What a location! Missing the view already. For the first time ever we as a family have agreed we would LOVE to go back to this hotel in stunning Skiathos. We have never wanted to go back to the same hotel before. I was getting worried with some of the negative reviews. But do not fear, this hotel is definitely 4 star! We were very happy with our room, clean, with a great shower. I agree, it wouldn’t be ideal for people with mobility issues however, there are free buses to the beach and Skiathos town. My two kids (13 and 10 years) managed the steep stairs to the beach with no issues. In fact we enjoyed the adventure. The beaches are lovely, our favourite Maratha and Troulos. The staff were helpful and kind. Breakfasts were a hit! Thank you Skiathos Palace for making our holiday GREAT!

Mixed feelings about this hotel. I'll start with the negatives . The price for the upgraded rooms with sun loungers on the balcony is simply not worth it. The room size was disappointing, with the balcony area so small the loungers were pushed together at one end to accommodate a table and chairs . The balcony area was also shabby as all the wooden shutters ,table and chairs all required re sanding and staining /varnishing . Don't get me wrong it was nice to have but not worth the significant extra charged by TUI. I think there could be a little more choice of food at evening dinner and of better quality. I felt it was limited and a overall a bit mediocre. This contrasted with a much nicer lunch purchased at the pool side restaurant . Breakfasts were fine however. The outside dining areas are nice along with the waiter service for the drinks which sadly are a little overpriced. The pool area is lovely however as are the views from the hotel The nearby beaches are lovely but the pretty beach which had the hotels beach club required you to book in advance online a sunbed and proved to be a bit of a faff and off putting . Hotel staff by and large were friendly and courteous as were the maids who cleaned the rooms . The use of the mini bus for trips down to the public beaches and Skiathos Town was a much needed godsend. We had a lovely holiday but really expected a bit better for what we had paid

For us it was easily the best experience of our 2 week stay on the Island. Food and service was very good, at all times. We ate at the White view restaurant on the top floor twice each time food was excellent and the view…and the view…is just amazing. The Hotel service and cleanliness was really exceptional, yes the hotel is a little old but has the main amenities one would expect. The Two beaches in the immediate vicinity are literally the best we have ever seen and we’ve seen a number across the Med and further afield.
