Worth the stop
There is so much memborbelia from all the wars Particularly impressed by bombs and tanks. No admission charge but please give the curator a donation. They receive no support from the government
We drove an hour on a Tuesday to see this museum which is listed as being open on their web site Mon - Sat. When we got there a paper sign on the door said it was not open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and ...
Very interesting place. It open,s at 10am, but when the man inside saw us, he opened it up at 9:30am. That was very cool of him. He was very kind and knowledgeable.
The modest outside hides a gem. The volunteers-veterans- were knowlegeable and friendly. Such a rich history. It is a must-see for anyone passing through Hawthorne.

Very interesting!
This little museum is packed with military ordinance with significant historical background. Very educational and enjoyable.
