Crowded and too expensive
Hordes of tourists off cruise ships. Restaurants are overpriced with poor service and bad food. A Disneyland with palm trees.
Skip, please!
Awful place to visit. Run down, dirty, touristy, greedy parking rates. Couldn’t wait to leave. I thought Kona was a highlight, definitely most depressing place I’ve been here.
Main strip of Kailua-Kona
This is the main drag of Kailua-Kona. There are a lot of shops and restaurants along this stretch of road. It is also where cruise ship passengers are dropped off - usually on Wednesdays. It is cer...
