Great falls but there are plenty better ones can get closer too
Side trip off the main Milford highway up unsealed road. The walk is only about 10am s each way. You don’t get that close to falls and view partially blocked by vegetation below where the viewing plat...
Cruise experience was superb!
Get on a cruise to experience the water up close and personal. One of the best highlights on the cruise we had!
Beautiful spot
Can really see the damage from Feb 2020 here. Huge trees fallen from banks and washed downstream. Beautiful area. Loads of parking as it was quiet which was great. Almost had it to ourselves.
Highly scenic
Humboldt Falls, on way from Milford Sound to Te Anau, is a much desired stop. It offers amazing view of the Valley. Good for a brief stop.
Slightly underwhelming...
To be clear, in many other places this would be a "must do" but New Zealand has so many incredible and more accessible sights that I feel this one should be quite far down the list. It's a long and...
