Qianling Museum

Traveling to Shaanxi, this stop came to Xianyang City to visit Qianling. Qianling's former garden is also called Tang Qianling. It is a tomb of the Tang Dynasty, for the joint burial of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi and Queen Wu Zetian. A day trip to the Xi'an West Line, I came to the Qianling Museum. Qianling is the first batch of key national cultural relics protection units announced by the State Council in 1961. It is a joint burial tomb of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi (628 – 683) and the only female emperor in Chinese history, Wu Zetian (624 – 705). Qianling's current ground remains Sima Shendao, 60 Shichen stone statues, no-word monuments, Shushengji monuments, Yulou ruins, etc.

Qianling Museum is located in the tomb of Princess Yongtai in the southeast of Qianling, Ganxian County, Shaanxi Province. It was established in 1978. Its predecessor was the Qianling Cultural Relics Management Office established in 1960. Qianling is the place where Tang Gaozong Li Zhi (628-683) was buried with the only female emperor Wu Zetian (624-705) in Chinese history. It is the only couple emperor buried with the tomb in the country and even the world. The tomb is 80 kilometers away from the ancient capital Xi'an, and the Xilan National Road passes by the tomb. Qianling is a national key cultural relics protection unit, is a famous scenic spot on the western line of Shaanxi Province.

The Qianling Museum in Xianyang Gan County, Shaanxi was established on the site of the Tangling Cemetery, which originated from the Tang Yongtai Princess Tomb excavated in the early 1960s. This is the earliest and highest-level large-scale female tomb excavated in Shaanxi after the founding of New China. In order to properly protect the cemetery, strengthen the protection and research of the cultural relics unearthed in Qianling and its accompanying tombs, and promote the development of the work of Qianling cultural relics. In August 1961, the Qianling Cultural Relics Protection Management Office was established on the basis of the excavation of the tombs. It is the first document set up in Shaanxi to protect the imperial tombs. The Bo unit has groundbreaking significance.
