I read on Wikipedia to find out who this Jovan Nenad was. A controversial character with a blurry history. So is his monument!

The real king of all nation
A great warrior whom everybody was afraid of. He was credited that the Turks for a long time could not reach the Vienna. In history, it is not fairly mentioned very little.
An interesting person
It is pretty funny that there is a statue, or monument to Jovan Nenad. HIs life was not exactly very smooth and nice, he proclaimed himself as a ruler, but nobody wanted him. As a matter of fact Subot...
The origin of the Vojvodina,
The monument is located in the pedestrian center of Subotica, surrounded by the National Theatre, the Green Fontan and the back of the City Hall to the entrance of the Korzo.
