A hall at the intersection with Enku Buddha

    Original Text

After visiting Tsu Kannon for sightseeing in Tsu City, I came to Shinkyoji Temple (Enmado) in search of a place where I could immerse myself in the feeling of the old highway. It is famous as "enmado" in the local area

    Original Text

Although it is a small temple facing the road, the main hall is a treasure trove of Buddhist statues, including the eleven-faced Kannon, which is the largest part of Enku's work. The hall is open three times a year, but you can usually see it.
