I was looking for an affordable hotel near Jiaxiu Tower in Guiyang and stumbled upon this place by chance. It truly lives up to its name, 'Huanzhu' (meaning 'joyful stay').
It's located on a very lively street, about a 15-minute walk to Jiaxiu Tower, with bustling commercial streets all along the way.
The hotel entrance is small; you need to take an elevator to the third floor to check in. Both the second and third floors are guest rooms.
The corridors have thick carpets, which provide excellent sound insulation. The rooms are fully automated with Xiao Du (a smart assistant) controlling lighting brightness, air conditioning, and curtains.
There's no TV, just a large projector on the wall opposite the bed. One evening, I bought a couple of beers downstairs, watched a movie, and surprisingly, despite the loud projector sound, no one bothered me, and I couldn't hear any noise from next door either.
This room included a double breakfast, which was delivered to the room. It was exquisitely prepared. Although they were ready-made and microwaved, it was still a nice touch.
One afternoon, it rained, so I went to the front desk to see if they had an umbrella. The lovely lady at the front desk immediately gave me her own umbrella.
This is truly an economical, thoughtfully run, and affordable hotel.
Staying at the Sofitel Guiyang Hunter was absolutely worth it! The room view was truly amazing; I could see the street scene as soon as I opened the curtains, and it was especially beautiful when the city lights came on in the evening. The bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the cleanliness was reassuring. Lisa provided incredibly thoughtful service, explaining all the facilities in detail during check-in and being readily available whenever I needed anything. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering both local snacks and a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, so I could try something different every day without repetition. The experience was truly outstanding. Rabby made the check-out process quick and efficient. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

Stepping in, I was immediately impressed. The hallways are adorned with oil paintings, making each floor feel like an art exhibition. The design is a French-inspired 'cream cave' style – every corner is Instagram-worthy. Our double room was incredibly comfortable, with a spacious layout and soft bedding. The amenities are very smart, including a smart toilet. The attention to detail is evident, even the toiletries feel like works of art. The service was also exceptionally thoughtful. We were greeted with a welcome afternoon tea, and the Tremella soup was delicious. In the evenings, there's a comforting 'goodnight sweet wine and mochi' service. Plus, the 24-hour room service meant we could enjoy Guiyang snacks even late at night.

I chose this Mercure for my trip to Anshun, and as part of the HUAZHU Hotels group, the quality is guaranteed. The hotel is newly renovated, and the facilities and hygiene are excellent, making for a comfortable stay. The front desk service was particularly great—warm and attentive, even giving me an extra breakfast, which was a thoughtful touch.
The biggest bonus is that it's pet-friendly, so I could bring my furry child along. While the 100 RMB cleaning fee felt a bit high, it was acceptable. Parking was very convenient, with its own independent parking lot, so no need to search for a spot.
Overall, I highly recommend it and would consider staying here again next time I visit Anshun.
This hotel, tucked away in a cave, is perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The room is fully equipped with everything you need, the mattress is comfortable, and the toiletries are excellent, making for a worry-free stay.
The infinity pool right next to the waterfall is absolutely stunning during 'blue hour' – it's incredibly picturesque.
The restaurant, bar, and tea lounge are all set inside the cave, creating a fantastic ambiance for dining, enjoying tea, or having a drink.
It's quiet, comfortable, and natural – ideal for anyone looking to unwind for a few days and escape the city's hustle and bustle.

The room was quite clean, and the customer service, especially Xiao Man, was excellent! She gave us very detailed tips for hiking. The hotel is right next to the scenic area entrance, which makes hiking super convenient. The surrounding environment of the hotel is also great; even if you're not hiking, it's a very comfortable place for a summer getaway. 😌😌😌
Choosing the Banshan Hotel for our Guiyang trip was absolutely the right decision, and I have to give it a thorough praise! The facilities in the room were all perfectly to my liking. The smart home appliances were easy to use, the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the mattress was just right—not too soft, not too hard—making for an incredibly comfortable stay.
Every single staff member, from top to bottom, was incredibly friendly. Especially the ladies at the front desk and house-keeping, who were so gentle and patient when speaking. They were super quick to respond to any requests, and handled everything with great care and attention to detail. Five-star rating!
The location couldn't be better. It's just a few minutes' walk to Qingyun Market and Jiaxiu Tower, making it super convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting attractions. Public transport, including buses and the subway, is right nearby, so getting around is completely stress-free.
The hotel's second-floor restaurant serves both breakfast and afternoon tea. Breakfast has a wide variety of options and is available until 1 PM, so even if you sleep in, you won't miss it. The afternoon tea offers a good selection of drinks and snacks, making it incredibly relaxing to come back and enjoy some tea after a tiring day of exploring. Overall, my stay was perfect, and I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I'm in Guiyang!
Staying at the Bailidun Hotel Guiyang Olympic Sports Center for my trip to Guiyang was a delightful surprise! It's not just your average one-night stay; it felt more like a relaxing and therapeutic mini-getaway right in the city. What really impressed me was their Storm Spa experience 🌧️. The lighting, space, and ambiance blended perfectly, instantly putting me in a state of relaxation. It's ideal for unwinding after work or recharging during a trip. The constant-temperature hydrotherapy experience ♨️ was incredibly soothing; after a soak, my entire body felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue slowly melted away. The room views are stunning, making every photo-op effortless – no need to search for the perfect angle. Especially with the high-altitude panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the sunset over the city from by the window in the evening, with Guiyang's cityscape spread out before you, really set the mood 📸. Spending the day enjoying the hotel facilities, watching the sunset in the evening, and then immersing myself in relaxation at night truly gives you that urban resort vibe ✨.
Great views of the village and rice terraces. Was able to see local people working in the fields. They also picked me up and dropped me off at the train station which would have been quite difficult to navigate in a small city and requiring to buy tickets to the village entrance. Best of all there was an English speaking host who helped me plan my day and trip to TangAn village which can be accessed by a nearby bus

I booked a two-night package deal and it was incredible value for money. The hotel's overall service was excellent. The package included breakfast and a double sour fish hotpot meal at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was really extensive, with a great selection of breads, noodle soups, hot and cold dishes, fruit, and steamed dim sum. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, conveniently located between the first and second tourist centers, just over a kilometer away. It's easy to get a taxi or drive there yourself. There are plenty of dining options nearby, with lots of restaurants, snacks, and late-night food. The hotel also has a laundry room, gym, and other recreational facilities on the basement level. Plus, there's a private outdoor pool and a lovely lawn, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

AAnonymous UserAmbience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an.
Cleanliness: Clean, no odors.
Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free.
It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing.
GGuest UserThe butler contacted me a day in advance. We agreed to meet at the west gate, and as soon as he saw us, he helped with our luggage and accompanied us all the way to the hotel. He even prepared afternoon tea for us beforehand. The hotel's location isn't far from the observation deck, which is very convenient!
The service was excellent. Since there weren't many people, they even helped us upgrade our room.
The room's view was absolutely stunning. I didn't want to leave the room; I could lie down and see the entire Miao village, with its water, bridges, and tiled houses, all from a prime spot. There's also an observation deck upstairs, which is definitely on par with any other popular photo spot in the village.
After visiting all the popular spots in the Miao village, I still felt that the view from the room was the best.
Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThis is a five-diamond hotel located within the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It's actually a few hundred meters past the old east gate of the scenic area, right before Wangmeng Town. The location is excellent, very close to the Xiaoqikong Bridge and Laya Waterfall. Xiaoqikong has changed a lot; shuttle buses now operate within the scenic area, which is very convenient for tourists, though it has somewhat diminished the unique charm of the original forest edge landscapes. Since it wasn't peak season this time, the hotel price was quite favorable, which was nice. We had a bit of bad luck this trip; it had rained heavily in Libo a few days prior, so the water in Xiaoqikong, though clean, had a yellowish tint. It lacked the characteristic clear turquoise and deep blue hues we'd seen in different sections of the river in the past. The hotel's service was excellent. The sink in the bathroom was a bit clogged, and after one phone call, maintenance staff arrived immediately to fix it. Turns out, a previous guest had thrown a piece of clear adhesive from a band-aid into the basin, which got stuck with hair further down, blocking the drain. It's a shame that some guests have such poor etiquette; a thoughtless act like that can cause problems for others. The hotel breakfast was decent, with a good variety of local Guizhou specialties and standard breakfast options. The only downside was the bacon and Western-style sausages. Guizhou lacks companies that produce high-quality Western sausages, and those generally made in China are often just mediocre. I'd suggest Guizhou consider introducing enterprises like Germany's Schindele to produce high-quality Western sausages, bacon, and other products using Guizhou's excellent pork, beef, and lamb as raw materials. Supplying these to major hotels would elevate the dining experience in Guizhou and even the entire Southwest region. Furthermore, Guizhou Dragon's cured and smoked products are excellent. Perhaps they could offer spicy sausages, cured pork, and braised pork made from Congjiang fragrant pigs to consumers, which might better showcase the unique flavors of Guizhou cuisine than some of the bland, uninspired products currently available.

LLexielilyThis was not an ordinary hotel stay. It became something I will remember for the rest of my life.
I arrived at the airport after unexpectedly injuring my ankle earlier that day and had no idea how serious it was or what to do next. I booked this hotel last minute, and from the moment I contacted them, everything changed. The team immediately arranged a car to pick me up from the airport, and I was met with such kindness, care, and professionalism that I felt safe right away.
When I arrived, they provided a wheelchair for me and allowed me to keep it overnight. They thoughtfully placed me in a more accessible room, helped with my luggage, and continuously checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. This all happened late at night, yet the level of attention and warmth never wavered.
What truly stood out was how every single staff member treated me. Each time I spoke with someone, they sincerely said to call if I needed anything, and they meant it. It felt like the entire team knew about my situation and was looking out for me. As a first-time traveler in China and an English speaker, I was honestly quite scared, but they went out of their way to make sure I never felt alone or overwhelmed.
At one point, multiple staff members even came up to my room to check on me in person and ask if I needed anything. They made sure I ate and brought me a warm meal, and I can genuinely say those were the most comforting, soul-filling noodles I had during my trip.
In the morning, they kindly offered me a late checkout until 2 p.m., again reminding me to reach out for anything at all. When it was time to leave, they made the process completely seamless. A member of the reception team personally escorted me by golf cart to the airport, helped communicate with airport staff, and ensured I received a wheelchair for my onward journey. I did not have to think or worry about a single step.
This level of care goes far beyond standard hospitality. It reflects a truly exceptional team. Every person I encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in my wellbeing.
I want to extend my deepest thanks to everyone working that day for taking such incredible care of me. You turned what could have been a very stressful and frightening experience into something warm, safe, and deeply human. This is a world-class team and a shining example of what hospitality should be.
I am so grateful and will absolutely stay with this hotel again. Thank you for everything.

SStanley The Travel ManWhat I like most is : The room is on the fourth floor. I didn’t pay for an expensive room so the room looks out to the backyard which is disorganized. If I pay more I would’ve gotten a better view. What I pay is what I get obviously. Nevertheless the room is very very nice. It has many lights and well lit and I love it. I can read without feeling that I am living inside a cave. The smart toilet is a place to for buttock massage.
The breakfast is quiet good.. It has fruit, bao zi and a freshly made bowl of rice noodles.
The hotel offers fruit for free . I love to have fruit and the fact that I don’t have to buy it and carry it back to the hotel.
I have daily house keeping . My garbage was emptied.
There are 2 massage chairs that are very good. The hotel decor in the lobby and the room are very pleasant. The owner has good ‘taste’.
I am not a big fan of disposable towels. If there is anything I prefer, is I want to cloth bathing towels. I felt like I used a piece of enormous napkins to dry my body. This is not a deal breaker though as I only stay 2 nights. If I stay longer, there would be anything else to do because I complete the whole circuit in less than 4 hours. The next day I went to Yao Shan and there wasn’t many people . But being 65, the entrance is free but I paid 20 rmb for the short bus ride. I paid 15 rmb one way on a DiDi there and the same coming back.
The location is at the extreme end of this neighborhood and would require a 10 minutes uphill to the entrance. The park is quite big. You have to walk 10 minutes to 15 minutes to the entrance, then after you buy the ticket, another 10 minutes to the bus stop so it is quite a lot of walking before you begin your journey. If I have to do it all over again, I would have spent more time at every stop. I misunderstood that route A and route B is different. Route B is exactly the same as route A in reverse. The information given by the owner should include the trail from the bus top to the bridge . There is an option to ride a boat and then walk a bit. The trail is easy to walk and well maintained and quite pleasant early in the morning and before closing as there will be fewer people .
The hotel is a bit far if you have a lot of luggages.
In summary, this hotel is the only one that offers breakfast in my 5 weeks through China and it was surprising good.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

AAnonymous UserThe right way to open it is to come to Wujiangzhai and stay in the scenic spot. Mushan Hotel is at the highest point of the village. You need to take a car to go to the core scenic area. We booked Building 2. In the early morning, when we opened the window on the balcony, we were surrounded by green trees and the chirping of birds. The hotel service is very good. You can get free tickets, free shuttle bus, and free parking fees. The staff also helps to check in your luggage. Special thanks to the front desk of the hotel. Because the family brought a lot of things with them on a family trip, a bag of the child's things fell in the lobby. It was only when I went to bed at night that I remembered that there was a tablet in it. I hurriedly went to the lobby to look for it. I didn't expect to find it, but I didn't expect it. The staff has picked it up and placed it at the front desk. Just for this reason, this scenic spot is worth visiting again.
XXuanqizongThe room was quite clean, and the customer service, especially Xiao Man, was excellent! She gave us very detailed tips for hiking. FFranticbugZhijin Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The rooms are clean, spacious, and designed for comfort, with many offering stunning views of the natural landscape. The resort has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The dining options include both local and international dishes, which adds to the convenience of staying on-site. While it’s located a little outside the city center, the serene environment and fresh air make it well worth the stay.
GGuest UserStaying at this guesthouse in Qianhu Miao Village was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the village and finding local specialty dishes. The front desk and guesthouse staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, promptly addressing any needs and showing great patience and care. The daily complimentary fruit platter was a highlight—diverse, fresh, and deliciously sweet. Our room was spotless and well-organized, feeling spacious and bright. All facilities were well-maintained, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Every aspect exceeded our expectations; the attention to detail was truly impressive, and it offered excellent value for money. It's perfect whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a short trip. I'll definitely choose this place again when I return to Qianhu Miao Village.
GGuest UserThis is a high-star chain hotel right next to Huangguoshu Waterfall. What's really great, and something many five-star hotels lack, is their self-service laundry room. There are plenty of washer-dryers, enough for my friend and me even during a holiday.
The hotel seems to be split into multiple buildings, some newer and some older. Our room had a balcony. We didn't try the hotel breakfast, but the other facilities and services were excellent. It's really good value for money, even on a holiday, and definitely worth staying at.
