"This is a port in the eastern part of Iceland where you can wash your clothes! From the capital of western Iceland, it is just the middle point of travel. The clothes accumulated in a few days can be washed and dried before going to bed at night. Pay 1600 Icelandic coins (krona), use it casually. The one in front of me needs 4,000 Icelandic coins to wash once."

We stayed in Room 112 - a beautifully furnished apartment with ocean views and comfy beds. The apartment was very spacious and clean. There was a washer, but no dryer. 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel was provided. Shower screen was too small so a floor squeegee was provided to swipe water back into the bath area after shower. Breakfast spread and quality was excellent including some homemade cakes, breads and cookies. Location was just a 10min drive from the puffins. Our best stay in Iceland and highly recommended

Location: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby
Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area.
But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? !
Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants
Others: Located next to the road, with no airtight windows and poor sound insulation

What an amazing place to stay! It feels like you’re in the wilderness but it’s a peaceful, high quality hotel (we stayed in a hotel room) with tasty, locally farmed, Icelandic food on the restaurant menu and a very good breakfast included on our hotel booking. The staff were so friendly and helpful - and there are 2 dogs, a friendly reindeer called Toby, an arctic fox, goats and sheep wandering around. In fact the dogs escorted me on my walk to a lake which made my day. To top it all we saw a stunning northern lights display and the sky was perfectly clear. A fabulous place !

Guest UserThe location was picture perfect. I could write a book of all of the pleasant features and positive moments. The restaurant staff in particular was wonderful. I felt so well taken care of. The dock behind the hotel was a great place to visit. The water was a color I have never seen before and so clear that I could see the rocks on the bottom. There were jelly fish, birds and a seal. I took my dessert upstairs and ate it on my balcony facing the water. Afterwards, I walked up the hill and found a cemetery with French soldiers. I wish I had booked for more than one night.

Centrally located close to domestic airport, gas station and supermarket. Hotel appears to be converted from an old building but is nicely maintained with a charming lobby. Room size is bigger than other Iceland hotels. Shower is only separated from toilet by a shower curtain, so bathroom would get a bit wet but not a big issue. Both dinner and breakfast are good. Better reserve for dinner as it gets busy. O sure washing machine is handy, although may need to wait a bit as there is only one machine. Staff are generally helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.

We Roam TogetherThis hotel is great in every aspect. The location is right in the city center, close to restaurants, supermarkets, and even a gas station. However, the water in the bathroom seemed to have an odor, which should be improved. Also, the breakfast, which is an additional charge, was quite expensive.

This hotel is very suitable for vacation and leisure. It is located in a forest. The front desk drove a golf cart to deliver our luggage to the door of the room. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Egilsstadt. The breakfast is average with few options. The dinner is okay, but the steak is too old. The chef came out to greet us personally and replaced it with cod according to our request.

Behind the blue church, there are cool loft beds, but the room is on the third floor and there is no elevator.
The room space is OK, there is no wardrobe for hanging clothes, only a few hangers, and the mirror in the toilet is not very friendly to the short Asians (like me)
Because it is off-season, the whole town is super quiet and there are not many choices for eating. In addition, the owner of this hotel has several buildings in this town, don't go wrong

Bk_EmMy friend and I made a mistake booking our trip, but we're very lucky to have found this location as a stop between our destination. It was fantastic. The food was amazing. The service was friendly and helpful and overall I would say any traveler who is making their way through that area should stop there even if it's just for a night

Hotel is at our stop-overnight location. Good spot for star glazing and watching Northern Lights. Bed is comfortable, very quiet at night. Dinner were good and breakfast is moderate.
They allowed us to store our luggage as we arrive early which is very nice.
