YollandiI don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it encourages some improvements.
Unfortunately, my stay at Nalagi Hotel was far below my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the experience got off to a disappointing start. The front desk attendant was cold and unwelcoming, never made eye contact, and didn’t smile once. She appeared annoyed to be there, which was a stark contrast to the genuine warmth and hospitality I experienced at other hotels in Nadi during this trip.
The room was spacious, but it lacked thoughtful design and attention to detail. The main light switch is inconveniently located below the television, with no bedside lamps or nightstands, meaning that if you wanted to read in bed or simply turn the lights off, you had to get up each time. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drain, and overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The hotel feels worn and tired, as though very little care has gone into its upkeep. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment, because the property has so much potential that simply isn’t being realized.
The final straw came on my second night. I was repeatedly woken between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. by neighboring guests who were aggressively banging on a nearby door so loudly it sounded as though they were trying to break it down. Once they eventually got into the room, the noise continued. I called reception to report the disturbance and was told security would be sent, but if they did come, it had little effect. Eventually, I had to get out of bed and ask the guests myself to keep the noise down.
I genuinely wanted to enjoy my stay, but the combination of poor service, lack of maintenance, hygiene concerns, and the handling of the late-night disturbance made for a very disappointing experience. With better management, staff training, and investment in the property, Nalagi Hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, that was not my experience.

aptrkWe had such a lovely stay at Outrigger. It was just the break we needed. The food is good and the drinks are decent. The prices were better than I was expecting. We ended up not doing a package and spent far less than we would have done on a package. Loved the adult pool, the only pain is that it sometimes closes early to set up for weddings.

Guest UserOur second time at First Landing which was just as good. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Royal Beachfront Villa which is in the lush gardens with a view of the sea. We also did kayaking and took part in activities. A great stay.

helenhandicraftThe hotel is located on the edge of Denarau Island, offering peace and quiet with a long stretch of beach. Most of the staff are enthusiastic and try their best to assist guests, and I felt their warmth throughout my stay. Some facilities are a bit poorly maintained, for example, one of the swimming pools was very dirty, leaving only the others usable.

Kingfeet99We had a very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island. The biggest highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff — everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always trying to help with a smile. You can tell the team really cares about the guests, and that makes a huge difference.
The hotel itself is quite remote and isolated, which can be either a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for. There is no real private beach for swimming, so don’t expect a classic white-sand Fiji beach resort experience. However, the location is absolutely perfect for sunsets. The evening atmosphere is beautiful, calm, and very relaxing.
The breakfast is not really at a 5-star level in terms of variety or quality, but it is still more than sufficient and you will definitely find enough options to start the day well.
One thing that really feels outdated though: charging extra for Wi-Fi in the rooms in 2026 is honestly absurd. Hilton, seriously — what decade are we living in? Free room Wi-Fi should be standard at this level nowadays.

The environment is great and the facilities are decent. However, the breakfast really falls short of Asian guests' expectations; it's quite a downgrade compared to hotels in Asia.

Sanam RamMy flight reached late at night. I checked in after 10pm. No one was there to guide or help with the luggage. Had difficulties looking for my room. Was told by an employee that my room was upstairs so had to go up the stairs with my 20kg back, 7 kg carry on and my handbag, only to be told by a guest that it was downstairs. I was frustrated and exhausted from my long flight from Australia. The guest took me downstairs to my room. Thank God for his help. The hotel was nice, except for their services, other things were good.

masatomoWe stayed for a 2-night family trip. The interior of the resort is like a maze, and due to its large size, if your room isn't conveniently located, expect a considerable walk. Upon arrival, a staff member warmly greeted us with a 'Bula' song. All the staff were friendly. Although the ocean wasn't the emerald green I had hoped for, I saw people fishing and families swimming early in the morning. Breakfast and dinner were just average. The kids' program might be a bit childish for our 12 and 7-year-olds, but it would be great for younger children. We were lucky enough to catch a fire show, which was a nice bonus. The pool water was cold. The room condition was clean and perfectly adequate for a family. Some rooms have washing machines, but there's also a coin laundry, which was convenient for washing and drying swimsuits and clothes. I recommend it for a family trip.

We stayed at Club Fiji for our entire 5-day visit, and after exploring the area during our stay, we believe it was the best choice in Nadi. Why did we love it?
The location is fantastic — right on the beach (we stayed in a beachfront bure), close to the airport but without any airplane noise. There’s a convenient free shuttle to many activities like the Vau Contemporary Dance performance or a Denarau snorkel cruise, and a taxi to Nadi town costs about 10 FJD.
Our beachfront bure was newly renovated, clean, and had everything we needed — not fancy but comfortable. The beds were made regularly if we weren’t in the room when housekeeping came by.
The grounds are stunning, with beautifully kept gardens and loads of chill-out spots — beach beds under umbrellas, hammocks on palm trees, two pools, and lovely spaces to eat or have a drink.
The service was very personal, with staff always checking if we needed anything. They even have a travel expert on-site to help plan your activities and bookings.
Entertainment happens most nights, ranging from the unique way dinners are served (like Korean grills or beach BBQs) to concerts and local celebrations.
Food-wise, the buffet breakfast is simple but adequate since there are few other options nearby; the à la carte dinner menu is decent, but the special grills are outstanding.
We really loved the authentic Fijian atmosphere here, which felt very different from the typical all-inclusive resorts—it had a feeling you couldn’t find just anywhere in the world.

Check in was after 3pm, check out 10:30 , and you have to get the towel from the reception. Too many rules plastered in the room as if you are going to rob them. A deposit of FJD50 in cash is required (no drinks in the room whatsoever, just instant coffee). I asked if I can check out before 12nn but was allowed only up to 11am. When I went back to get my luggage, the lady told me that I was supposed to have checked out already, without even asking if I already did. Only the cleaning staff were helpful. Would not recommend.
