Couple with dog.
For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!
I have a video of the water pressure.
On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

The room is very standard, the bed is slightly smaller than in China but it is enough for two people. The breakfast is very standard, cost-effective, the price is very good, and parking is convenient. There is also Starbucks.

Guest UserBeautiful hotel with gardens and a fantastic spa. The rooms are spacious and full of character, but unfortunately poorly maintained. The carpets are worn, furniture stained and wallpaper peeling. All to be expected from a hotel as old as this, although it’s wise to curb your expectations as hotel pictures aren’t an accurate reflection. Room 135 was so full of potential and could be absolutely spectacular with some TLC. Staff were wonderful; attentive, warm and helpful.

The hotel is in a great area of the countryside of Warwickshire. When you arrive the bar/food service next door is currently having maintenance issues so it is not currently open. When we arrived, the service was amazing:kind, friendly and approachable. On arrival to our room, the room (21) was a big size. The double bed was huge and double beds were available to our 2 children - even with our luggage scattered around the room, there was still plenty of room for the children to run around and play. My fiancé said the room was quiet warm but I liked the temperature of the room and found it pleasant - not too warm or cold and was very comfortable.
The only amenities we would have benefited from as a family, was a fridge because our youngest needs dairy free milk for the night. However, I appreciate this is a luxury within hotels so it wasn't a factor to complain about.
The beds were comfy. Breakfast in the morning - running from 7am-10am (we arrived at 9am) was a little disappointing. There wasn't much choice and a lot of items we had to wait for between 10-15 mins - and without saying anything to very absent kitchen/buffet staff, it wasn't topped up. I made do with what was left but I didn't end up having any toast (no bread), no bacon and no eggs. Not worth the £12.99 price tag. I have seen this mentioned in other reviews but breakfast area was conservatory-esque and quite cold. As mentioned previously, customer service was great and this was upheld at checkout. No close local amenities, evening restaurant, local shop etc but overall, a lovely stay.

Anonymous UserThe location and ambiance of this hotel are truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend it. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the on-site spa with its indoor swimming pool added a wonderful touch of relaxation to the stay.
The only small drawback was that they were unable to provide a toothbrush upon request. Aside from that, everything else exceeded expectations.

arrived around 3pm and checked in at the bar as instructed I received a warm welcome and even had my case carried up the stairs (no lift). I was given room 3, a single which was more than adequate with large single bed (very comfy) separate bath tub and wc plus t & coffee- I was pleasantly surprised. The wall mounted tv worked efficiently, there was sufficient storage and hanging space for my two night needs & the t and milks were topped up as requested. brekky was adequate and I enjoyed my stay. The ten am check out was a bit of a problem on the second morning as my train wasn’t until noon (less than 5 minutes walk to the station). the bus to Stratford, Warwick and Coventry goes from round the corner and the town is 7 - 10 minutes walk across the river bridge and past the pump room. plenty of dining options. good value for money but more a boarding house than hotel. I would return

Very glad I booked in this hotel. I needed a place for a night while coming to see the RSC, and the location couldn’t be better, just across the park.
The room was so pretty and had everything you needed, bathtub, soap, iron, a kettle to make coffee/tea, and hair dryer. It doesn’t have AC, but my assistant dog and I were fine with just the fan. (I wonder in the winter?) But it did have towel warm rack- fantastic to dry off the towels and small washed clothes.
The check in and out super easy and they’re keeping our luggage until we leave tonight, so I’m super grateful about that.
The only thing I’d add to the room is better lighting for the bathroom’s mirror, since I could really see what I was doing 🤣
And maybe a better system to order in the pub, since it was a bit slow…
But the food was Ok for a quick bite.
Everyone was nice and I’d definitely would come back 🙌🏾

Guest UserI got to the hotel around 5 pm and there was no one at the reception. I went to the restaurant and a young gentleman said he can help me check in. At first he couldn't find my booking as I had done it through TRIPS.COM. He eventually found it I went to my room. The room had AC which worked fine. I had a good night sleep. In the morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and asked for vegetarian option. He asked if I would like vegetarian sausage and how many if so. I ordered two and also asked for oat milk which he kindly brought for me. I then went to the counter to get other vegetarian food (mushroom, tomato, baked beans, hash browns) and toast. I had a good breakfast with coffee and orange juice.
There was no credit card blocks and check out was just a drop of the card into a box on my exit.
Will recommend this hotel to anyone. Clean and functional.

I stayed here for 2 days. It takes just over an hour by car from the rental car company near Heathrow Airport. Parking was 5 pounds per day. It was a good location for touring the Cotswolds.
I saw about 4 staff members, and they all welcomed me kindly.
The room was clean and just the right size. The bathroom was clean and nice. There were many outlets, which I think is convenient. Towels and a hair dryer are provided. It seems that you have to ask for housekeeping at the counter in advance. I forgot to ask, and I only asked for towels to be changed later, but they changed them right away.
I think it's better to prepare body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush set, etc. in advance.
It's very convenient because there is a gas station, restaurants (KFC, Starbucks Coffee, etc.) and a supermarket right next to it.
Thank you for your polite service. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity.

DawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.
