A new and polished hotel, Marinabay is everything you need for short stay. With a nice view for some rooms over the Marins, it’s well positioned. Being out of Central Seoul is in a fairly sparse part of the city and for restaurants and bars, you will need a 20-30min taxi into town. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful. For business travelers it’s perfect as each room has a desk. Rooms are larger than average versus downtown hotel. Has a roof top pool and an indoor pool but as it’s February for my visit, I didn’t use either.
Hotel was very near to Goyang Sports Complex, which was important for us to attend the BTS concerts. Room was cosy and clean, and staff were very polite and always responded instantly if we had any questions. We enjoyed our stay and would return again if there was another event at Goyang! 💖
The room was clean, but the bathtub didn't seem to be cleaned properly. And because there was no shower curtain, the bathtub was a sea of water. Also, the shower head and bathtub faucet switch was broken, so I had to shower while getting splashed. It seemed like it was already broken, which was a shame.
Aside from that, everything else was clean and nice. It was a perfect place to stay for one night. I would stay there again if it had a shower room. It was also reasonably priced. I didn't try the breakfast, so I'm not sure, but it was under 20,000 won, which seemed like a good deal.
The price is unbeatable, and the location as well. The Hotel seems to be in the middle of restoration works, and it is quite messy and dirty in the common areas and floors, bur if you need a place to sleep in the centre, that's just perfect.
The garage got full, so I had parked outside and asked the receptionist if I could leave the car there, which he confirmed, by taking my licence plate number. Then when I came back after 22.00 the car was gone. Luckily the next receptionist helped me to get a taxi and go to get the car back. The fine was very reasonable. And the next night the garage was full again, but this time I went to the public garage instead.
There are plenty of dining options around the hotel, and I basically ate out every day during my business trip. There are also many bus routes nearby, plus a shopping mall called Times Terrace where you can find pretty much anything you need. From the airport, take the 8837 bus and get off at Ramada Hotel stop, then it's about a 6-minute walk to the hotel. It's super convenient for transport, food, and accommodation.
Spent three nights here, overall good especially considering the price, just 10 min walk from the station, walking distance to all attractions
Self check in, no staff
Bed is nice, comfortable and clean, the bathroom is too but walls, bed's headboard and chair are incredibily dirty, clearly a mistake to get textured/cloth-covered walls and chairs because the stains are almost impossible to clean, the overall vibe of the room feels dirty even if it's clearly been cleaned (and floor, bed, bathroom are clean).
It's an old building, but I had a comfortable stay with my family. It was nice to be able to use the sauna right next to the building. It was nice to be able to get a sauna discount if you use the hotel. 🧡
WWe chose this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay and were impressed by its location in an upscale neighbourhood surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants. Transport was easy—with the GTX-A line nearby, you’re in Seoul before you know it. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, with several great dining options on-site.
Unfortunately, the experience was affected by a significant issue. The air-conditioning didn’t work throughout our stay, and despite informing the front desk, we were advised to open the windows instead. With the low air quality, this quickly led to sinus congestion and hay fever for our family—definitely not ideal before a flight. On top of that, nearby construction made it hard to rest with the windows open, and our request for a room change was declined.
Had this issue been handled better, it would have been a perfect stay. The location and amenities are excellent, but customer service and maintenance need improvement.
The hotel's proximity to Everland was incredibly convenient. Since we were traveling with our kids this time, easy access to transportation was our main priority. What's even better is that there's a free shuttle bus stop right across the street from the hotel!
Super easy check in and check out process. Loved not being issued a physical door key and instead having access to the room via Kakao. No more fumbling to find your room key or have the chance of losing it. Having access to the room via your mobile phone was clutch.
The room was nice and clean. No frills, just everything you need in a basic standard room. The water pressure in the shower was very nice. The location was great for this trip being close to the train and subway station and the other places I intended to visit. Lots of food options in the area too!
Would definitely come back again and would also highly recommend to other travelers and visitors coming to the Godeok area.

Very Good
WWanghaoyanHonestly, I really love staying at this hotel, and I try to book it every time I visit Korea.
People have heard enough about the pros, so this time I'll just focus on the cons:
1. The room only provides two bottles of water, and there's no public water dispenser. If you're comfortable with the language, you can call the front desk for free refills. However, if there's a language barrier, your only option is to fill and boil water from the bathroom tap.
2. There's a shuttle bus advertisement (provided by the district office) posted on the ground floor, but the front desk doesn't proactively promote it. Remember to take a good look and snap a photo for your reference.
3. I'll write about the next point in my following review.

CChewYSIt was very good impression as my 1st times visiting in Korea because the hotel staffs were incredible friendly and helpful. However this is very difficult to get taxi as industry area. Overall is good for me and the hotel is valueable to stay.
GGuest User1. The cleanliness was excellent; housekeeping was prompt and thorough, leaving every corner neat and tidy.
2. The hotel offers a full range of facilities, including a well-equipped restaurant and gym, and the staff provides meticulous service, making guests feel very comfortable.
3. This hotel really stands out within a few kilometers of its surroundings. Its elevated position offers exceptionally broad views.
AAKI_ApichhI stayed in a 2-bedroom suite for about a week and overall had a very pleasant experience. The suite was spacious and clean, making it comfortable for a longer stay. One thing to note: the bathtub is quite deep, which might be a challenge for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Breakfast: a good mix of Western and Korean options, all well-prepared and tasty. The coffee, in particular, was excellent — probably the best I’ve had at a hotel. Reception staff were polite(mostly... except the one male reception who deline on advice...) If you plan visit downtown in Seoul it might be quite far. Would recommend for families or longer stays, just keep the bathroom design in mind depending on your needs.
Rreviewer8282The hotel's location was great, and check-in was smooth. However, the cleanliness of the room was poor, which needs to be addressed in the future. I was satisfied with how quickly they re-cleaned the room upon request and the staff's exceptional friendliness. The ocean view was slightly obstructed by a hotel in front, but it was bearable if an unobstructed ocean view wasn't your primary focus. It's not a full ocean view. It was convenient to have many convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel.
AAnonymous UserIt's pretty good and very convenient. There's a CU convenience store on the first floor, and I went there almost every night to buy a bunch of snacks. It's really friendly for business travelers; it's super easy to grab something to eat and drink after finishing work!
AAnonymous Userhotel is a bit old and some parts were not very clean but overall still a very comfortable stay! room is spacious too. hotel is within walkable distance to the food area and there's a convenience store nearby. reception staff are very friendly too~
TTobim144The area around can be incredibly noisy, especially at night time, even up until 5 AM. If you're like me and like having the window open while sleeping, prepare to be waken up regularly by loud cars who think they are on the damn Nürburgring or people who like to yell/scream their lungs out at night for no reason. Pretty standard 40 bucks ish hotel for Korea.
