Clean and hygienic, with excellent service. They even have a Chinese-speaking front desk, which was a huge help for someone like me with limited English. It's super convenient for getting around; both the bus and subway are just a few minutes away. Plus, all the amenities are really handy.

Few things I like about this hotel:
1. Plenty of paid parking in front of the hotel. You will need to download an app to pay for parking.
2. Walking distance to Jonker Street & restaurants. You will never have to stress about booking Grab to get to Jonker Street & get stuck in the traffic.
3. Free breakfast. Slightly chaotic as there’s limited tables and chairs at the dining area (next to reception), but breakfast provided are decent. I would suggest allowing guests to bring their breakfast & eat in hotel.

Another unpleasant experience during recent stay. Kinda upset that the hotel didn’t even bother to read my special request that I have indicated in my booking a week before the check in. Regularly staying here for my business trip, and this is not the first time they disappointed me.
Reached hotel at 5pm after long business meeting, and been told my room is facing the pool side and at lower floor. I have clearly indicated higher floor and river view which I have been staying in the same floor / same room during each of my stay. But they’re totally not aware I have indicated such request for my booking and ended up I waited for almost 40min++ for them to get another river view room ready for me. Before they do so, they actually asked me to wait until 8pm if I want a river view room which I’m totally speechless. I’ve booked for premier room not standard room, and kinda shocked when I heard that remarks from the receptionist
Location is definitely very strategic.
I hope the next trip I won’t get disappointed again.
Two of the main issues faced with the hotel was that 1. the room type did not match photos online 2. housekeeping wasn't prompt. I had booked a balcony room as photos on the booking site showed balconies with street views. However, the ”balcony” of my assigned room was an outdoor area surrounded by walls, akin to a walled-in service yard. To label these rooms as balcony rooms gives guests the wrong expectations - these should be a separate category of rooms with ”restricted view” outdoor areas, and lower rate than actual balcony rooms with views.
On my second day, I spent the morning out sightseeing and returned to my room in the afternoon to take a break, only to find my room still unmade. I had to call reception to check that the hotel did indeed provide daily housekeeping and to request for my room to be made. At night, I found that my used bath towel had been removed but no new bath towel was given as a replacement. When I checked out, the receptionist did not remember to give back the cash deposit (a 100rm was taken at check-in). I had already walked away, and then returned to ask for the deposit back. These cumulative lapses affected the experience - which was a pity as the hotel itself was a very nice Peranakan-style building with artistic touches in the public areas. There were some nice gestures such as coins to exchange for welcome drinks, towels folded into animal shapes, and durian rice cakes left in the room. But I would much rather have basic expectations met first, like a room that matched, and consistent housekeeping.

Great service and comfortable rooms, but with a few hiccups. The staff at reception were lovely. However, staying on the 32nd floor meant long waits for the lift during busy times. Also, the bathroom glass is quite see-through—not ideal if you're sharing the room with a friend. Overall, it was a good experience, but keep these points in mind.
We arrived really late, around 1 AM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk for check-in. We asked if we could switch rooms if ours wasn't suitable, but he said they were fully booked and had no other options. The next day, we saw that the entire building had tons and tons of empty rooms 😂. Our family room was very spacious, but the furniture and facilities felt incredibly outdated, like something from 20 years ago. The windows even had several black mold spots 😂, and the towels weren't very clean and were haphazardly placed in the bathroom, which also lacked a separate shower and toilet. There were ants on the table in the room, and black and red marks on the walls. Around 11 PM, after we had already gone to bed, someone prank-called our doorbell, which gave us quite a fright. There were documents on the table and bed stating how hard the hotel worked to achieve its 4/5-star rating. However, if you wanted an extra blanket or additional tea, you had to pay separately for each, with prices clearly listed.
Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to Heroes' Square, making it very convenient to walk to all the main attractions!

A proper hotel with its own parking compund. The hotel is quite new, with sufficient facilities like swimming pool and gym area. The room is spacious and complete with the basic toiletries. The aircond was good and cleanliness of the whole room is average. The only small problem with my room was the shower area. There's some sort of blockage with the drain but overall the shower experience was good with steady strong current flow. Overall, this hotel is very well worth the price of slightly above RM100.

The hotel looks grand and the room is very spacious and clean. The view is great as I can see the city and sea partially. The bed and pillows are comfortable that helped me to sleep well😴 The staff is very friendly and helpful. Upon check in, the staff will provide you with their specially made cookies which tasted delicious😁 The only problem is that walking to Jonker Street is not convenient and you need to drive or Grab there in a few minutes 😅
The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of Malacca's old town. When I checked in, the Malaysian lady at the front desk collected a 50 RM cash deposit from me (which another front desk staff member refunded when I checked out the next day). Additionally, she charged an extra 28 RM for some unknown fee (Ctrip showed an 8 RM world heritage fee was due). I stayed for two nights, and Ctrip deducted 475.47 RMB upon checkout.
Room 512 faces west, offering an open view of St. Paul's Hill. The room didn't have a safe or slippers, but it did have a refrigerator, toothbrush, hairdryer, wardrobe, and hangers. The air conditioning was central and could be set to a very low temperature.
Upon entering, I accidentally pressed the 'make up room' button next to the door. Later, after I had gone to bed, a staff member rang the doorbell to clean. They were very responsible; I had to get dressed and explain in person that I didn't need the service before they left.
MITC Hotel Melaka offers a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, although slightly small. It is suitable for solo travellers or short stays. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient, especially for those attending events at MITC. Overall, it’s a decent choice for business trips or solo travel in Melaka.

SspaceroStayed here from 1st to 3rd May 2026.
First impression: It was raining really heavily when we arrived so many vehicles were lining up to drop off luggages at the main lobby. The downside, there was no valet parking. Not only myself, but I overheard a few other people asking for valet as well. Hope it can be incorporated ASAP as there are no covered car parks available.
Perks of club rooms & suites: Separate check-in at the club lounge. Super fast & efficient. We could also enjoy the 5-7pm cocktail hour and the selection of food and alcohol were pretty decent.
Breakfast spread: We have to hand it to them for their buffet breakfast. An amazing spread and they even have a teh tarik performance.
TIP: Just go for the buffet breakfast even if you have lounge access. You can come up to the lounge for Round 2.
DOWNSIDE: Room & bath were clean and comfy. However, housekeeping was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure what the hotel policy is but the room slippers were not changed during housekeeping. Both pairs were untouched and were exactly how we left them on the side. Our old towels were kept but new ones were not provided. A staff randomly knocked on our door and requested to check the fridge (minibar) and informed that since we consumed 1 can of Coke, they will replenish 1 can for us but will be brought in afterwards by his colleague. But, that 1 can never arrived. Also, shouldn't the minibar be replenished during housekeeping?
Other than that, everything else was great. Shoutout to Chef Adeq, super friendly guy and shoutout to the team over at the club lounge for making our ”lepak sessions” super relaxing and comfortable.

AAnonymous UserI booked 2 rooms signature king. It was then upgraded to 2 bedroom suites. This is like apartment style room.. Master bedroom has en suite bathroom with bath tub. The second bathroom is outside, next to 2nd bedroom. Both bedroom relatively small. Living hall equiped with TV, sofa and has dining table as well. There is small kitchen with mini stove and kitchenette. Unfortunately we was assigned a room with faulty aircond in the living hall, however the team work very efficiency to organised maintenance team to fixed it and when it was failed, we was assigned to a new room immediately. The breakfast spread is good. My daughter loves the kids playgrounds and kids club.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the toll, making it easy to access. It is an older property, and the furniture reflects that, but it is still functional. Cleanliness is maintained at a moderate level. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, which adds to the overall experience. The highlight of the stay is the FunPlay water park—kids absolutely loved it and had a fantastic time. The breakfast spread is impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from.Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would likely visit again.
WW. JinHygiene: Very good.
Facilities: A mix of new and old, it's renovated, but just okay. No conditioner or lotion provided.
Service: Since we arrived from Singapore by cruise, we got to the hotel around 9 AM. We dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. It was incredibly hot, so by 12 PM, after sightseeing and eating, we returned to the hotel and asked if we could check in early. They refused... At around 1 PM, our little one really needed a nap, so we asked again and finally got a room. Sigh. Compliant with rules but not very empathetic. The service industry really needs a bit more human touch. The concierge, however, was excellent.
Environment: The swimming pool is clean, but it gets direct afternoon sun and closes exactly at 7 PM. Breakfast is good, but if you absolutely need Chinese food, you might consider skipping it and heading to the tea restaurant about 15 meters to the left of the hotel entrance, which is a better option. One side of the hotel faces the sea, and the other faces the Malacca River bay, both are nice views.
