Arrived by bus from Singapore, and the hotel is super close to the bus station. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and if you walk a bit further, there are two shopping malls. It's also quite near the old city wall ruins.
The earliest check-in time is around 2:30 PM, which feels pretty inconvenient. On the bright side, there are plenty of seating areas in the lobby.
The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom is clean. Overall, it's great value for money.

Few things I like about this hotel:
1. Plenty of paid parking in front of the hotel. You will need to download an app to pay for parking.
2. Walking distance to Jonker Street & restaurants. You will never have to stress about booking Grab to get to Jonker Street & get stuck in the traffic.
3. Free breakfast. Slightly chaotic as there’s limited tables and chairs at the dining area (next to reception), but breakfast provided are decent. I would suggest allowing guests to bring their breakfast & eat in hotel.

Spacious room with balcony, very clean, comfy bed, good water pressure, excellent breakfast especially the teh tarik, OMG!Will definitely come again…
The pool is also huge…Planning for longer stay next time..
Its actually walking distance to jonker street but to walk at night the route seems unsafe..

I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but after checking in, I found the location to be absolutely fantastic. We could walk to all the major attractions, and popular restaurants were also nearby. Getting to the central station only took about 20 minutes by car. Our room's balcony was in the middle of the building, more like a drying area, but it met our need for quiet. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and the manager could speak Chinese. The shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable. When taking a Grab, we could be dropped off at the main entrance, but for pickups, we had to set the location to the back entrance and walk through the restaurant.
What I wasn't happy about was that the towels were a bit discolored, as mentioned in other reviews, and the room only provided reusable plastic slippers. It would be great if these could be improved.

Hotel room was well kept, almost faultless tho' its very dated and rough around the edges, but not dealbreaker. We love the shower area it was huge. Everything worked and stocked. Balcony nice views. Breakfast was good, looks like it shares w Swiss Garden hotel as well but variety overwhelming and loads of seating, moreover longest timing til 12pm great for late sleepers. The complex houses a shopping mall as well not fantastic but conveniences and alternative food choices avail itself. There's also a rooftop bar and viewing gallery as well, loads of eateries around the clock in the vicinity and a discounted boat ride for hotel guests. Parking seems like a pain on the 7/8 flr needs validating every exit, but other choices if one decides to pay on lower n ground valet. Overall, we'll return for the value. Attractions and Malls just drive or grab no issue, unless one wants to stay specific touristy area or want 5star hotel etc...

We arrived really late, around 1 AM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk for check-in. We asked if we could switch rooms if ours wasn't suitable, but he said they were fully booked and had no other options. The next day, we saw that the entire building had tons and tons of empty rooms 😂. Our family room was very spacious, but the furniture and facilities felt incredibly outdated, like something from 20 years ago. The windows even had several black mold spots 😂, and the towels weren't very clean and were haphazardly placed in the bathroom, which also lacked a separate shower and toilet. There were ants on the table in the room, and black and red marks on the walls. Around 11 PM, after we had already gone to bed, someone prank-called our doorbell, which gave us quite a fright. There were documents on the table and bed stating how hard the hotel worked to achieve its 4/5-star rating. However, if you wanted an extra blanket or additional tea, you had to pay separately for each, with prices clearly listed.
Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to Heroes' Square, making it very convenient to walk to all the main attractions!

Friendly staff. The room is specious with all completed facilities and the hotel has a swimming pool. Parking is ample which is located in front of the hotel. Nice vie to watch sunset from the room.

Let me give a thorough review of this hotel!
This was my second stay, and I feel it's necessary to start with the first visit. About 7 or 8 years ago, when the hotel first opened, I stayed for one night. In the middle of the night, there was a false fire alarm. The crucial point was that the fire alarm broadcast was in Malay. For an emergency like a fire, shouldn't the primary language be English? Our whole family walked down the stairs from over the 10th floor to the ground floor, only to find it was a false alarm. Imagine, half-asleep in the middle of the night, dragging family members down the stairs, and we also encountered many elderly people descending. We didn't complain that time; we understood, as it had just opened. We just reported the situation, and the hotel didn't say much.
After 7 or 8 years, I decided to experience it again and booked two nights. I was a bit disappointed upon check-in because the large shopping mall next door was closed, and the surroundings seemed desolate. 'Oh well,' I thought, 'I'll just get some rest early.' Our habit is to leave a light on in the bathroom at night for convenience. Unfortunately, the bathroom glass had no curtain, so the light was completely unobstructed (photos attached as proof). After finally falling asleep, the power in our room went out in the middle of the night, waking up the whole family due to the heat. The room and hallway were pitch black. Please try to imagine that feeling of darkness. I called the front desk, and they said our floor had a power outage, but not the rest of the hotel. Eventually, the power came back on. However, our whole family couldn't get back to sleep from 4 AM until dawn. The next day, I contacted Trip.com and the duty manager. The hotel agreed to change our room, and the duty manager offered two complimentary buffet dinners.
This message is purely to express my genuine feelings. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, the bed is a bit soft, there's significant afternoon sun, and the air conditioning temperature control isn't very responsive. However, the hotel staff are truly excellent, providing sincere service. But the thought of poor sleep at the hotel, the unobstructed bathroom light, the false fire alarm, and the power outage issues truly make it difficult for us to return. Melaka is quite quiet now, and while the hotel has such wonderful staff, the hardware aspects are a real shame. If improvements can be made, please let us know, and we might consider experiencing it again. I sincerely wish the hotel a prosperous business.

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of Malacca's old town. When I checked in, the Malaysian lady at the front desk collected a 50 RM cash deposit from me (which another front desk staff member refunded when I checked out the next day). Additionally, she charged an extra 28 RM for some unknown fee (Ctrip showed an 8 RM world heritage fee was due). I stayed for two nights, and Ctrip deducted 475.47 RMB upon checkout.
Room 512 faces west, offering an open view of St. Paul's Hill. The room didn't have a safe or slippers, but it did have a refrigerator, toothbrush, hairdryer, wardrobe, and hangers. The air conditioning was central and could be set to a very low temperature.
Upon entering, I accidentally pressed the 'make up room' button next to the door. Later, after I had gone to bed, a staff member rang the doorbell to clean. They were very responsible; I had to get dressed and explain in person that I didn't need the service before they left.
MITC Hotel Melaka offers a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, although slightly small. It is suitable for solo travellers or short stays. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient, especially for those attending events at MITC. Overall, it’s a decent choice for business trips or solo travel in Melaka.

AAnonymous UserBooked for 1 night to celebrate my mother's birthday. Overall good experience. Room clean and spacious. They even decorated the room for the bday girl.. hihi tq for the effort ! My mom really love it! The front desk staff really helpful. Night time there's a fire show at the swimming pool area. .... But once night time u need to drive out the hotel area to the mini town 5 min from the hotel if you want to buy anything food/needs/shop.. so far my stay is good.

RRC8888Hotel is very conveniently located near makuta parade and 2 other malls, especially if you are going there by coach. There is a caring pharmacy just in front and many eatries around. Our 2 bedder family room was big and spacious but the carpets might need a wash and the room feels a but mouldy but we rented an air purifier that helped. Breakfast was average. Overall a good stay.
GGuest UserHotel was decent. Clean n affordable. It does however is showing her age with a little wear n tear. We got a room facing Pantai Klebang n that was nice. Room n hotel are very outdated. AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the toll, making it easy to access. It is an older property, and the furniture reflects that, but it is still functional. Cleanliness is maintained at a moderate level. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, which adds to the overall experience. The highlight of the stay is the FunPlay water park—kids absolutely loved it and had a fantastic time. The breakfast spread is impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from.Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would likely visit again.
GGuest UserThe service and facilities of this hotel is top notch. Location might be abit further from jonker street but no problem for us as we are driving. There is free shuttle service every 2 hours to town if required. We had a good stay there and will return if we visit Malacca again. There is a bathtub too!
WW. JinHygiene: Very good.
Facilities: A mix of new and old, it's renovated, but just okay. No conditioner or lotion provided.
Service: Since we arrived from Singapore by cruise, we got to the hotel around 9 AM. We dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. It was incredibly hot, so by 12 PM, after sightseeing and eating, we returned to the hotel and asked if we could check in early. They refused... At around 1 PM, our little one really needed a nap, so we asked again and finally got a room. Sigh. Compliant with rules but not very empathetic. The service industry really needs a bit more human touch. The concierge, however, was excellent.
Environment: The swimming pool is clean, but it gets direct afternoon sun and closes exactly at 7 PM. Breakfast is good, but if you absolutely need Chinese food, you might consider skipping it and heading to the tea restaurant about 15 meters to the left of the hotel entrance, which is a better option. One side of the hotel faces the sea, and the other faces the Malacca River bay, both are nice views.
