Join the Voices Dance Project, an interdisciplinary arts collective in Ottawa, for their upcoming auditions. The project aims to empower dancers and choreographers in the National Capital Region to create together. The auditions will take place at the Ottawa Dance Directive on January 28, 2024. No preparation is required for the auditions, which will last approximately 2.5 hours. The format includes a group discussion, a relaxing breathing exercise, warm-up, learning a choreography excerpt, guided improvisation, and cool down. The project offers membership for a monthly fee of $50, which covers the cost of rehearsal and training space, fundraising for projects, and access to support, mentorship, resources, and space for new works.
