Participants will receive one-on-one coaching from resident comedy coach, Brad Oakes, and guest comedy coach, Tom Siegert. Graduates will have the chance to meet alumni who can offer guidance in the competitive world of open mic comedy. Prior to the course, participants will have access to an online course with content accessible on phones and PCs. Each day of the course offers valuable learning opportunities, from understanding the basics of stand-up comedy to generating content, building confidence, and controlling a room. The final day culminates in a graduation night performance in front of family and friends, alongside professional stand-up comedians. Following the course, graduates will have the opportunity to perform in open mic rooms across Melbourne through the Punchlines Comedy Club and at various festivals. The National Unisport T20 Cricket Championships will take place in Buderim at the Maroochydore Cricket Club from July 7th to July 12th, 2024. Team SCU is actively seeking dedicated and competitive cricketers to join their squad for this prestigious event. The tournament spans five days and will be played on the turf wickets of Maroochydore Cricket Club, Caloundra Cricket Club, and UniSC-Buderim Cricket Club on the Sunshine Coast. The total cost of the tour package is $450, with a $125 tour deposit due by April 28th to be considered for selection. The package includes accommodation for five nights, event registration and insurance, team uniform and merchandise, as well as two team dinners.
