The cost of attending the academy is $280.00 per student, which includes three meals per day from Wednesday to Saturday, as well as one meal on Sunday. This five-day program, exclusive to individuals aged eighteen and above, will be held at various locations including the Dr. Creighton J. Hale International Grove Dining Hall, Recreation Room (2nd Floor), and the field facilities at International Headquarters. This comprehensive week-long session will cover a wide range of topics, including rules, regulations, and interpretations for both baseball and softball. Participants will also gain expertise in the mechanics of the two-umpire system, along with valuable insights into the philosophy, mental approach, and attitude required for Little League Baseball and Softball. The academy will delve into handling game situations, maintaining control, and exploring three-and four-umpire systems. Enrollment for the Umpire Academy is limited to a maximum of forty participants, ensuring an intimate and focused learning environment. In the event of inclement weather, all field exercises and plate work will be conducted indoors, guaranteeing uninterrupted training sessions.
