The Moi'ili Summer Festival celebrates the Japanese and Hawaiian cultural roots of one of Hawaii's oldest communities and is home to Honolulu's largest Bon dance performance. The 13th annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Festival returns to the Waiānuenue ma Kapaʻakea parking lot (Old University Building parking lot and Coyne Street) at 1110 University Avenue.

This exhibition, opening on May 10, 2026, will showcase the immense efforts the U.S. Navy made during the Cold War to return the battleship USS Missouri to active service. Through never-before-seen archival photographs and artifacts, visitors will relive the crew's experience of reviving the slumbering Missouri and leading her on her historic circumnavigation of the globe. Located on the ship's forehand dining deck, the exhibition will be open to the public from Sunday, May 10, 2026, until May 2027.

Kāhuli Leo Leʻa presents the Mele Conference and Mele Hula Festival, a multi-day gathering dedicated to mele (Hawaiian song) and its related cultural practices. Attendees will enjoy three days of presentations (subject to change) below: Day 1 – Thursday, June 11, 2026 The conference begins with a series of plenary sessions dedicated to overarching conversations of mele, including compostion, ʻāina, hula, industry, and a haku mele competition. Day 2 – Friday, June 12, 2026 Breakout sessions are tailored towards mele practitioners, educators, and music industry professionals, featuring a series of lectures from renown haku mele and a collection of industry/educational professional development sessions. One pathway toward economic sustainability comes in the form of music royalties. This help desk offers a Question-and-Answer session with a music royalty specialist, as a resource for mele practitioners who engage with music royalty revenue streams.
