Detroit Lions tailgating at Eastern Market is back! The Eastern Market Partnership has updated the tailgating rules for the 2023-2024 season, so it's important to review them before reserving a spot. The proceeds from tailgating go towards supporting the mission of the Eastern Market Partnership, which includes operating markets, providing greater access to good food, and growing local food businesses. For the second year in a row, Bullseye Event Group will be hosting the Lions VIP Tailgate inside of Shed 5. Tickets for this exclusive tailgating experience can be purchased at bit.ly/lionsvip. It's worth noting that there have been some changes to the tailgating rules this year to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience at Eastern Market. Please take the time to carefully read this year's rules. To purchase tickets for tailgating, they must be bought online in advance at easternmarket.org. The number of regular spaces available will vary depending on whether there is a Sunday or Holiday Market. There are also 22 spaces available for Motor Coach, large RVs, and oversized vehicles. On November 19 and 23, parking for these larger vehicles will be moved to Lot 7. Reservations for Shed 2 & Shed 3 Quads are only accepted for those specific areas. Reserved parking is not available within the tailgating areas, so if you wish to park next to a family member or friend, you must arrive together and have the approved tailgating parking passes. Tailgating begins at 7:00 am, except for the Monday night game on October 30, when it starts at 3:00 pm. All parking lots must be empty within sixty (60) minutes after the game, and overnight parking is strictly prohibited and will result in towing at the owner's expense. Tailgating is only permitted in the posted lots, and it is not allowed on public streets, sidewalks, or alleys. There are rules in place regarding tailgate setups, cooking methods, alcohol consumption, clean-up, and prohibited activities. Please remember that disorderly conduct, weapons, and unauthorized commercial activities are strictly prohibited.
