AER Conversations at Central Saint Martins will take place on May 21, 2024, from 1pm to 2pm at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London. The event will feature discussions between exhibiting artists and former AER residents, including Rudy Loewe, Lucy Orta, Eleni Maragaki, and Sara Grisewood. Moderated by Camilla Palestra, the conversations will delve into the impact and legacy of their practices and creative roles in shaping the future. Rudy Loewe, known for visualizing black histories through painting and drawing, will share insights from their practice-based PhD research. Lucy Orta, a visual arts practitioner focusing on social and ecological challenges, will bring her collaborative approach to the discussion. Eleni Maragaki, a visual artist from Greece, will also contribute her experiences from residencies and exhibitions. The event is open to all UAL current students and staff, with a live stream available for remote access.
