Come join us as we cover the ins and outs of sketching woodland creatures with pencils. Whether you're an experienced sketcher or complete beginner, I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover. Each lesson also has a printed guide to take home. We'll work on how to~ Become familiar with your materialsDraw animals that come to lifeBuild the creatures through a simple processOvercome perfectionism and make drawing a fun experienceEach session has a different focus (see photos for more details)~ Lesson i~ Building Your Animal (Saturday 29th March 10.00-11.30) Lesson ii~ Details and Character (Saturday 5th April 10.00-11.30) Lesson iii~ Texture and Finishing (Saturday 12th April 10.00-11.30) We'll be working from some lovely photo reference, and you'll pick up the fundamentals which can be applied to any sketch subject, not just animals. We'll be using high quality coloured pencils, all materials (and refreshments!) provided. This is an expanded version of the 2hr 'Intro to Sketching Woodland Animals' workshop, where we'll break down the fundamental sketching skills per lesson and have more time to focus on each of them. Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.
