QI: Queer Improv Workshop and Show is an inclusive event that welcomes improvisers who identify as LGBTQ+. This free workshop and show, presented by QI: Queer Improv and Hoopla Impro, offers a unique opportunity for participants to enhance their improvisation skills and showcase their talent. The workshop, held from 7-8pm, is open to all participants without an audience, allowing for a comfortable and supportive learning environment. Following the workshop, the public show begins at 8pm, featuring a dynamic mix of workshop attendees and experienced QI veterans who will take the stage. For those interested in joining the workshop, the venue will open at 6:45pm. It is important to arrive on time for a check-in at the beginning of the session. While the venue does have a staircase, Hoopla Impro has a stair climber machine available to assist those in need of accessing the upper floor. Additionally, there are gendered male/female restrooms; however, arrangements can be made for individuals who prefer to have a friend accompany them. The stage can be accessed via two steps or a ramp, with standard lighting and music provided. To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, we will avoid using intense light flashes or sudden bursts of music.
