'Repair and Refashion your Clothes' at The Create Place | The Create Place

Join Eleanor and Sarah at The Create Place in London for the 'Repair and Refashion your Clothes' workshop. Bring along your old or damaged clothing and learn essential sewing skills to transform them into something new. This inclusive and friendly group encourages participants to share ideas on mending and refashioning clothes to combat textile waste. The workshop takes place from 6.30pm - 8pm every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. To secure your spot, make sure to book a free ticket in advance. Space is limited, and we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to attend. If you bring your own clothes to work on, Eleanor and Sarah will provide advice and ideas for repair or alteration. Spare fabrics are also available for practice purposes. The Create Place is equipped with sewing machines and basic sewing equipment to help you get started. While some materials are provided, please bring any extra trims or fabrics you specifically want to use. We are grateful to have received a grant from the East End Community Foundation and Tower Hamlets Council Small Grants Fund, allowing us to offer these workshops free of charge. However, if you are able to make a small donation of £3.50, it would greatly support our mission of reaching more people with clothing repair.
