A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect for Los Angeles County Beaches and coastal areas through Tuesday morning. Elevated surf of 4 to 6 feet and dangerous rip currents pose an increased drowning risk. Morning high tides between 7.2 and 7.6 feet may cause coastal pooling and beach erosion. Large breaking waves can sweep people off rocks and beaches and capsize small boats nearshore.
