Koh Lanta Yai Hostels

We have been coming to the Pimalai for 20 years and it never fails to deliver. We were lucky enough to spend 15 days at the resort this time, and it just seems to get better and better. Its hard to put your finger in what makes The Pimalai so unique. It has a genuine rustic Thai charm, combined with the efficiency of a well run Western hotel. The balance is perfect and never disappoints. It could be the stunning beach, the tranquil setting, the crystal clear waters, the fantastic food or the delicious cocktails at happy hour that make it so amazing, but I think it’s actually the incredible staff that really make you feel like you are one of the family, that really sets this place apart. The staff can not do enough for you. Even the gardeners (who work tirelessly to keep the grounds looking beautiful) stop to say hello when you walk past. There has been a change of guard since last year. The lovely French Manager Franck has handed over to the equally charming new French manager Brice. The transition has been seamless and the hotel is in safe hands. We managed to do a few things this time that we’ve never done before. I did a wonderful Thai cooking class with the head chef. What an experience. One I’d recommend to anyone. We also did a sunset snorkelling trip to Koh Ha. This was spectacular. The fish we saw were incredible, an the guys on the boat were so helpful. Then followed by a sunset cruise back to the hotel. Just WOW!! As always the food in the restaurants was delicious. I get the feeling that it’s only going to get better with the new food and beverage manager putting his mark on the menus. As always, we didn’t want to leave, and we can’t wait to get back.

Finally got a chance to stay for a couple of days, prices have been slashed and two nights including breakfast was less than a single night in low season before Covid. We had the first day all to ourselves, no other guests, drawback is that no restaurant open for anything other than breakfast. Room was beachside and showing its age a little but clean and everything working. Be prepared to exercise if you have beachside room, the walk to anywhere is uphill and I do mean uphill, gives you exercise before you get to the pool. Overall very good, not five star but excellent value.

Nice resort on Koh Lanta, view of the beach and sea. We had a swimming up room. Super big for us two! Bed was comfortable, cleaning comes daily, clean sanitary. We found it a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was good, scooter you can rent at the reception, small shopping at walking distance. It's just not for people who are not good to be. Many stairs, but we didn't care. You get a great view for it back. Tip: rent a scooter. Go to discover the island and find the beaches and the nice bars on the road with views of the beach,. Overall you find monkeys, super clear water and a beautiful sandy beach. S Nights good dinner at the beach tents!

This hotel is really amazing for me! -Environment: In the south of Lanta Island, it is quite far away. It takes about 40 minutes to drive a motorcycle to the bustling area in the north (open fast); the food nearby is similar, but the 7-11 diagonally opposite green house massage shop next to the alley Everyone who goes in the massage shop must try it! Although the price is half the price of Ao Nang, this oil is really very good compared to the price. - Hotel: The service is very good. We just have a welcome towel, non-alcoholic drinks and waffles, and some luggage are put upstairs and air-conditioning is opened in advance. The use of various areas of the hotel is also recommended carefully; May be the off-season, only us and a couple of foreigners at the time of check-in, so we arranged the best room on the third floor; - Catering: At the hotel, only the lunch of the room service is called once. The taste is average. You need to charge 10% service charge and 7% tax; more than 500 baht. - Facilities: The only downside is that there is no elevator; but this sea view is really too great, very quiet and very comfortable; - Note: Because the hotel is backed by mountains in the south, many monkeys will grab your food and even arrogantly steal clothes. Fortunately, monkeys are afraid that people can drive away.

We were super impressed with our accommodations here . Huge rooms , cozy linens , partially out door bathrooms were unique and plenty of space for hanging clothes etc There are approximately 13 villas spaced nicely in lush tropical gardens . There’s a good sized pool and restaurant area. At 1200 bht a night we consider this the best value in the area. The two guys on reception were super helpful, organised a snorkelling tour, rented us a scooter and had our laundry back within hours . Guests should welcome a harder mattress , mosque prayers at 5am and you’re not directly on the beach ( but the price tells you that ) Definitely will return here 🙏

The hotel service is very good, they are very enthusiastic, and they greet us when they see people. My mother is allergic, so I helped my mother replace all the scented bedding. The room is very clean and tidy, and all the rooms can see the sea. I found that the sea view of the smallest villa room will be partially blocked, but the mountain better. My room is on the top, and my mother is in the first row facing the beach, with a good view. The hotel has a swimming pool and a restaurant. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. In a small bay, the waves are not big enough to go into the water. The food in the restaurant is very good and the price is not expensive. It is about the same price as I went to the Diamond Cliff Restaurant. We ate three meals in the hotel. The hotel has a car to send to all parts of the island, and each place has a price list. We chartered a car for half a day and four hours, 2,500 baht. Go to the beach 10 kilometers away, 400 baht one way, I think the price is also very good. You can call the hotel to pick it up at Saladan Pier. This is free, but it seems that it is not delivered. Horse * chicken needs to be reserved, very cheap, Thai massage technique is very good, only 600 baht per person for 50 minutes. And it feels very good to face the sea. The elder sister who massages is very careful and will observe your various expressions to pay attention to the severity. My dad gave an early tip of 100 baht, and actually gave him an extra 20 minutes.

I really like the style of the hotel and it blends perfectly with the surrounding environment, similar to some domestic homestays. The facilities are a little bit old, but they have everything they should. The rooms are large and the balcony with sea view is very awkward. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but it is completely delicious. The semi-open restaurant and garden perfectly blend with the sea view, bringing a good dining mood, which is enough to offset the shortcomings of fewer varieties. The flame dance at the bar on the side is also a highlight, making the night more exciting. The only thing that is not tolerable is the problem of bath water. The water flow is often very small. When I came back from the beach and stood under the shower head. When the dripping water could not clean the sand on my body, my heart collapsed. I stood and waited for a few minutes. It took ten minutes for the water flow to return to normal levels to finish the bath. The sea and beaches of Kantian Bay are not as good as expected. I think the comments in the comments are a bit too much. After all, Thailand has many more beautiful beaches than here. In general, it is a wonderful experience for people like me who love to lie on the balcony or garden and enjoy leisure time.

Arrived with a 3-day booking and within a day had extended to 10-days. I found this resort beautiful with lovely spacious bungalows, and a fabulously designed bathroom/shower. The staff could not have been more friendlier or helpful with everything. The pool was a great size, next to the beach, with stunning views whilst swimming. All the food and shakes were delicious and at great prices. We rented a bike from the resort for our whole trip, and was close to everything. Fresh shower/beach towels everyday. The island itself was beautiful and if I ever return I would stay here again.

Environment: Elegant and quiet, with a wide view and beautiful scenery. The green villas are especially liked. There are special living rooms and kitchens. The basic kitchen utensils are complete. I like the kitchen glass. It is the lawn of the hotel garden. Pleasant. The roof of the bedroom is pointed and sleeps in bed. There are hammocks and lots of lounge chairs on the balcony. Watching the stars at night is not too good~ Accommodation: We have five people, so we add about two hundred yuan per night. There is no extra bed. If you need it, a small sofa in the room can let the service staff add a quilt. Service: The hotel can arrange vehicles to go to the following restaurant and 711 every day. The hotel has no food and can be delivered to the room if needed. Hotel staff can recommend snorkeling and car rental, and if you feel the price is right, you can order it. The only fly in the ointment is the path from the main road to the hotel. It is a bit steep and a bit broken. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach. The hotel's cat is so cute, every day, I want to enter the house at the door of the villa, and all kinds of trails hahaha, but we are not able to stand the enthusiasm of human beings. Lanta is really the country of cats, people are less beautiful, very recommended oh~ next time I want to book this hotel!
