I apologize, I was having such a great time during my stay that I completely forgot to take photos, haha! **Facilities:** They have a washing machine, common areas, and my private room came with a toilet and shower, etc. **Hygiene:** The environment was very clean. **Location:** Chunxi Road is right downstairs, with tons of snack shops and clothing stores. Taikoo Li is just a short walk away. **Service:** Patient and friendly! It was a wonderful experience. These photos are from my trip to Dongjiao Memory in Chengdu. I really love Chengdu! šŸ’•

This hostel is super easy to find, right by the bus stop. I just followed my GPS and got there in no time. The rooms and common areas are spotless, the beds are neat, and there's no weird smell in the bathrooms. Had an amazing experience! Highly recommend!

very nice place. The area is not crowded and very close to the lake. they have one bike to rent for 15 rmb per day, which makes it convenient for solo travellers. Additionally, they have a common kitchen fully equipped that costs 10 rmb to use. It's really nice for making breakfast or coffee. They have coffee filters and pour over equipment if you fancy it. The room is clean, and there are plenty common space to hang out, and there are washing machines on the top floor with soap. Highly recommend this place!

The courtyard, with bedding airing in the sun and flowers in bloom, truly felt like stepping back into the 1970s. The kind gentleman overseeing the place busily made up the bed with a soft, pure cotton plaid bedding set, gesturing to show it was freshly laundered. I deeply felt the warmth and kindness from both him and the owner, and consequently enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing night's sleep. I also visited Qianfo Cliff, Huangze Temple, and Jianmen Pass.

(For context, I was a black female solo traveller) Location On a long street with many restaurants and shops along the street and a self service ATM 5 -10 min walk away, including a small market in the mornings. It is a residential area, so you will most likely be the only foreigner, but people are extremely friendly and helpful, albeit the stares. The entrance faced the main road and was well lit. There is a flight of stairs that you will need to go up to get to the hostel area. If you have not tried hot pot, I would def recommend going to the Haichiniu Xianxianqie Beef Self service Hot Pot place which is around 5 mins walk down the road. Quite far from the centre of the city however it is extremely easy to get to. During the day, there is a close proximity to the underground around 10 min walk, and there is a bus that I took from the city centre to right outside the hostel door where the bus stop was. If you are going through the night/early morning, it is extremely easy to catch a taxi through apps and it is quite cheap (around 40- 70 yen) and the road is very well lit. I felt completely safe in the area. Service Chu, the hostel aunty is warm and helpful, and gives you a sense of being home away from home. This included being made some home made dumplings to celebrate Golden Week which tasted delicious! She gave recommendations on places to go and made sure that I kept safe when out. As another review said, it can be a bit difficult communicating if you don't know Chinese as no English at the hostel or around the area is spoken and it can get quite draining/ mentally challenging at times for us, however Chu still tried her best to communicate regardless and I really appreciated the effort. To get around this and to make your stay more enjoyable, I would be sure to have WeChat set up prior so you can use the chat translator and have your google translate app out ready. (N.B Make sure you are able to set up the account and get the WeChat validation/security text through your HOME sim/data roaming as opposed to attempting to set up your account on your E-sim which won't work). Facilities It is a hostel that provides what you need. The things that took my British head some time to get around was the shower situation and the bed; namely the shower as it was more typical of an advanced bidet than standard shower. However, it was kept exceptionally clean after my first day there and I did my part of keeping it clean by bleaching it down. The bed is quite sturdy, typical of Chinese beds, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or similar to lay on the mattress so you can get to sleep. There is an upstairs area where you can use the washing machine or wash your clothes by hand and an open area to hang dry your clothes. Make sure you have some cash ready to give to Chu to use the machine. There is a vending machine that you can buy snacks for using the your WeChat pay. There is a seating area at the top where you can sit down and eat, smoke and chat. Once you are used to the different products used (i.e remembering the slippers, using the shower etc.), it becomes second nature and a very comfortable stay (funny story: I was sitting on a desk chair outside my room and being use to the chairs in the UK being quite heavy, I swung myself around and ended up falling off the chair LOL!). Cleanliness Like I mentioned above, the hostel is kept exceptionally clean and I had no concerns around hygiene once I got used to the shower situation. The cleanliness is what I can say was a huge benefit to the hostel. Considering how large the place is and Chu is the sole host, it is kept evidently very clean and Chu will be sure to tell you to tidy up too lool. People in China are not a fan of strong smells/ fragranced things so you will not smell bleach or such products but after seeing a storage room, I can assure they are being used! The photos in the other reviews capture it exactly so you will not be surprised when coming to the place.

What a perfect hostel! A few steps away from the bus station and at walking distance from Kangding main square and the monasteries The hostel is clean, well organized, with a large communal space, a fridge and traditional stoves The room (6 female dorm) is spacious, there is a window with mountains view, the bunk bed is large and equipped with light and international socket; there is even an electrical blanket for keeping you warm at night The large outdoor terrace between reception and dorm building is so lovely and has a great view over the mountains and river I really liked the rustic feel and thee extensive use of wood of the hostel

For young travelers visiting Chengdu on a budget, staying in a hostel is the best value for money. This particular hostel is in an incredibly central location, right next to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. Step out, and you're directly on a bustling pedestrian street with an abundance of food options downstairs. The subway station is also just a few minutes' walk away. It attracts a youthful crowd, including many backpackers. During the day, we were 'special forces' style tourists, constantly exploring delicious food, visiting attractions, taking photos, and sightseeing. Then, we'd return to the hostel for a comfortable night's sleep.

This hostel is located on the fourth and fifth floors of Evergrande Plaza and has likely been open for less than two months. The male and female dorms are on separate floors, which is a thoughtful touch. The facilities are impeccable: new sheets and duvet covers, bright and clean bathrooms, and a freshly set up common area. Everything is new, even the faint smell of recent renovation still lingers in the air. Interestingly, the initial awkwardness between the staff and guests also feels 'new.' The guy at the front desk pauses and thinks before answering directions, and guests in the common room are glued to their phones, occasionally making eye contact, smiling, and then looking away. This 'breaking-in' period actually feels quite authentic. I've stayed in many hostels, and sometimes places that are too new can feel a bit uncomfortable. There are no notes on the walls, no half-empty condiments left in the fridge by previous guests, and the staff and guests are almost too formal with each other—it feels like it's missing some stories. But then I think, new also has its advantages. It's clean, tidy, and everything is a fresh start. In a way, everyone staying here now is among the first guests. Over time, the walls will naturally gather doodles, regulars will become known by name, and this initial awkwardness will slowly evolve into something else. I look forward to seeing this hostel grow.

WWWW.aleThe bar on the first floor is incredibly cozy, and the 'coffee by day, drinks by night' concept is perfect. You can enjoy a quiet coffee during the day, and in the evening, unwind with a drink in the soft lighting, creating a relaxed and therapeutic atmosphere. It's never too lively or too quiet; once you sit down, you won't want to leave. I felt completely at ease and could have stayed there forever. The hostel was clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and having an private bathroom was a huge plus!

GGuest UserThe best stay experience ever! I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality wood used throughout the room – both the walls and floors were wooden. The decor was simple, unique, and stylish. I also really loved the small courtyard; when the sun was out, I'd lie on the lounge chair outside my room, soaking up the sun and watching the light filter through the leaves. It was a small, enjoyable pastime. I absolutely adored the common areas. I initially chose this hostel primarily for its communal spaces. Since I didn't have many travel plans for this vacation, having such a spacious yet intimate common area was wonderful. I could flip through a book, study a bit, drink some tea, or chat with fellow travelers from all over. Even just watching people come and go felt warm and interesting. The atmosphere really captivated me. In just a few short days, it felt a little like home, like my own little base in this area. The vibe among everyone was great, and I think I'll remember it. It was beautiful and genuine, somewhat aligning with my vision of the world and human co-existence. The brothers and elementary school student I played ping-pong with, the friends from around the world who made dumplings and watched the Spring Festival Gala, the incredibly talented and beautiful young woman with pink bangs, the American guy who was fascinated by Chinese tech companies, my San Francisco friend learning Chinese, the young-at-heart gentleman who transitioned from finance to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the textile designer from around the world studying art… The encounters were brief and wonderful. It was a fleeting glimpse into a corner of the world, a peek into a brushstroke of your life's canvas. I feel happy and honored. I loved the space and the flow of the design. Hope to see you again!

Jjasmine_233It's about a 12-minute walk to the Provincial Stadium, or a quick bike ride. There's a big, well-behaved dog at the hostel. It's a pretty traditional hostel with a strong local vibe, but the soundproofing on the doors isn't great. I'd recommend bringing earplugs; I slept really well with them in.

AAsisten LiburanThis hostel provides everything to make your stay enjoyable. With full facilities like towels, toiletries, free water, boardgames, a big common area, an outdoor garden - a patio with nice scenery, a semi bar, a quiet area for reading and studying also a big bonus, and more. The location is also a few steps from a bus stop and tucked inside a parking area, so you will not hear the noisy street. Too bad, few of my roommates ( local chinese, maybe students ? ) cant keep the room clean and organized with their stuff cluttered and make the room a little bit messy. However the whole area is clean and the staffs also friendly With a very affordable rate, this hostel is a winner
