GGrogu on the roadYesterda I stayed at Ace Capsule Hostel in Osaka, and it was a fantastic experience for anyone looking to try capsule-style accommodation, very good.
First and foremost, the entire place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The capsule beds themselves were surprisingly comfortable, providing a cozy, private space that made it easy to get a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city.
What really stood out to me were the excellent amenities. The hostel truly thinks of everything to make your stay hassle-free. A major bonus was that they provide both a small towel and a big towel for guests, which is incredibly convenient and saved me from having to pack my own. The shower facilities and common areas were also spotless and fully stocked.
Between the comfort, the cleanliness, and the thoughtful perks, this hostel offers incredible value for budget travelers and solo backpackers in Osaka. The location was perfect ! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and classic Japanese capsule experience. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Osaka!

I had a wonderful stay at Cafe & Hostel Kimi to Ichigo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They made the check-in process smooth and were always available whenever I had questions throughout my stay.
The hostel offers check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM. One feature I especially appreciated was that guests are still welcome to use the spacious common area until 8:00 PM after check-out. This is incredibly convenient if you have a late departure, need a place to rest after shopping, or simply want to relax before heading to the airport or station.
The facility itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. One of my favorite features was the large common area, which provided a comfortable space to relax, work, eat, or socialize with other guests. The common area also offers complimentary hot and cold water, as well as tea, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice way to unwind after a day of exploring the city.
The bathrooms and toilets were spotless throughout my stay. The shower rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the sinks and vanity area were spacious, making it easy to get ready without feeling crowded.
I stayed in the all-female dormitory, which felt very safe and secure since it remained locked at all times. The bunk beds were surprisingly spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room for a good night’s sleep.
The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout the hostel, making it easy to stay connected.
For those looking for an affordable breakfast option, the hostel offers breakfast for around ¥500, which is both practical and reasonably priced.
The hostel also provides convenient luggage storage services. Guests can leave their luggage before check-in and after check-out, making it easy to continue exploring the city without carrying heavy bags around.
Long-term travelers will appreciate the laundry facilities. A washing machine is available for ¥200 per cycle (30 minutes), and detergent can be purchased for ¥50 per packet. I personally recommend using two packets of detergent if you have a larger load and want your clothes to smell fresher. A dryer is available for ¥100 per 30 minutes, but if you’re washing several days’ worth of clothes like I did during my four-night stay, I would suggest allowing around two hours of drying time.
One thing future guests should note is that towels are not provided free of charge, so it’s a good idea to bring your own. However, towels can be rented at the hostel for ¥200 if needed.
The location is another major advantage. The hostel is only about a 7-minute walk from Namba Station and other nearby train stations. Dotonbori, countless shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and entertainment spots are all within easy walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring Osaka.
Overall, Cafe & Hostel Kimi to Ichigo offers excellent value for money, outstanding cleanliness, great facilities, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re a solo traveler or visiting with friends, it’s a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place to stay. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Osaka.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful two-day stay here. The hygiene was impeccable, and the room was quite spacious. My favorite part was the communal kitchen in the common area. I wasn't quite used to Japanese food, so it was a lifesaver that the kitchen was fully equipped. I could prepare my own meals.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, just a short distance from Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori for shopping and dining. The hotel's large bathroom is fantastic, and they provide POLA toiletries. There's also a guest lounge by the entrance with complimentary coffee and tea, where you can dine.

GGuest UserIt's in a good location near to Nippombashi and Shinsaibashi metro. Bed was comfortable and spacious, showers are clean and well maintained. It's good except that it seems like there are travelers or resident living in the dorm which are weird and strange in my opinion.

1. If you land at Terminal 1, first find the connecting corridor to Terminal 2, or locate the JR station entrance.
2. Facing the JR station entrance, you'll see the hotel sign on your left-hand side!
3. Follow the sign, and you'll spot a Lawson convenience store and an escalator. Take the escalator to the second floor!
4. Once on the second floor, you'll see a pizza restaurant and the hotel's directional sign. Just walk all the way to the end, and you're there!
(#) Stay Experience:
1. Cons: The soundproofing is practically non-existent, it's terrible!! People walking outside sound like an earthquake. It's hell for light sleepers. Remember to get an eye mask and earplugs from the front desk!
2. Friendly reminder: I didn't realize the room had air conditioning. The AC switch is right next to the light adjustment buttons. I slept incredibly cold all night and had to use my down jacket as a blanket.
3. Pay attention when the front desk assigns your room. It was my first time staying, and I didn't know, so they gave me one of the very first rooms, which meant a lot of people walked by. Avoid W302 and W303; they are especially noisy and right next to the entrance and luggage room.
4. Pros: Taking a hot shower was incredibly comfortable, and they provide shower gel, conditioner, shampoo, makeup remover, makeup remover wipes, facial cleanser, cotton swabs, comb, toothpaste, and toothbrush (no cups, and no disposable cups!).
5. The bed is very firm, which is great for people with back problems!
6. Towels and sleepwear are provided. The sleepwear is like the kind you'd wear in a large public bathhouse in China.
(!): Overall, for 400 a night, if it weren't for a very early transfer, I wouldn't recommend it. It's better to find a nearby hotel. Apart from being quick and convenient, other hotels offer better value for money.

GGuest UserI chose this one close to the venue to go to the Expo.
It was close to Osaka Port Station, and I was able to walk without difficulty even with my luggage (６ years old). It was my first time to use an unmanned accommodation, so I was very worried about whether I could enter the building, check in, and enter the room well, but I was relieved because even I, an analog, was able to do it smoothly. I printed out the passkey and QR code necessary for input so that my smartphone could get sick, so I didn't have to cover it.
The building is kept very clean overall, including the rooms. There was no particular problem if you didn't care about the details such as the unit bath and the drainage ditch of the wash basin. I was very happy to be able to wash because there are several washing machines and dryers (and detergents are also available!) that can be used for free in the laundry room. And above all, the cospa is good! Easy to go to the Expo and sleep soundly at this price! It was very helpful. By the way, it was in the 3000 yen range by taxi from the Expo West Gate to the hotel. It is close to Mt. TENPO, so I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
And! The nearby Korean restaurant was very delicious!

GGuest UserThe location is great, easy to find. Lots of shopping and eateries in Tennoji. It is also directly accessible by JR Haruka if you are coming from KIX. The tatami room we booked was spacious and comfortable. Lots of space to lay out and hang our things. Check-in was straightforward, front desk was polite and helpful. There was smell of cigarettes near the lift, but we were happy that the room and corridor did not.

AAndrei SmirnovEverything is fine exept the thinnest and hardest pillow I've ever seen in my life. A bit old amenities add a touch of true charm to here. They speak a bit English.
The only unpleasant point was my communcation about the locker key I couldn't find in the morning. They immediately asked me to pay 7.000 yen as for lost item, not even suggesting to wait for it to be found by staff or guests, as I hadn't left the premises. Of course, the key was found by someone very soon.
