Wir haben uns wieder auf die Spuren deutscher Geschichte gemacht und sind dieses Mal nach Weimar gekommen. Das Hotel konnten wir über Personights buchen und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Der Empfang war herzlich und das Zimmer top ausgestattet - es ist alles neu und gut durchdacht. Das Frühstück war zwar übersichtlich, jedoch für unsere Belange völlig ausreichend. Die Damen vom Frühstücksservice waren sehr liebenswert. Der junge Mann, der abends die Bar schmeißt, hat uns gut beraten und konnte uns auch überraschen. Schade, dass wir spontan früher abreisen mussten. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und die Gegend sowieso!! Vielen Dank an das Team!

This hotel is really somewhere special. From the minute we arrived to leaving we experienced extremely professional, friendly service. The lovely young lady at reception, the smiling, friendly bar man and the lady at breakfast were especially kind and helpful. I wish I had taken note of their names. The hotel itself is really beautiful, wonderfully maintained, and located on scenic Marktplatz in the heart of Weimar. Our brief visit was so memorable and we can't wait to return some day. Ill firever remember a wonderful breakfast on their outdoor terrace! Treat yourselves and stay there.

I stayed at the Labyrinth Hostel for four nights and wish I could have stayed longer! I felt very much at home there and especially welcome thanks to the friendly staff. I was in an eight-bed dorm with one to two other people so enjoyed generous amounts of space. For me the bed was comfortable and I slept well with no disturbances. The common areas were great for chilling out and chatting with other guests (both outside in the yard, and inside in the kitchen and dining area). Good selection of books in the book exchange. Kitchen was fine for preparing simple meals. Location of hostel great for seeing the sights, right by the historic centre of town. You can't park directly by the hostel but there is plenty of parking just a few minutes walk away. As for Weimar, definitely a great place to visit - important historically and especially if you are interested in Goethe and Schiller! Also liked Erfurt and especially Jena - nice towns in very attractive surroundings.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was a good size for two, would work well also for a family with small child/children using sofa bed in lounge. Really great supplies in the apartment like scissors, paper towel, baking paper, a good oven. The location is great, the lift is handy, the little balcony was a lovely place to sit even though it was cold. The bed was comfortable, good water pressure in the shower. Slight negatives: no kettle. No one seems to like supplying shampoo anymore and all these large squeeze bottles or pumps of soap are a bit depressing but common. Sadly for us due to Covid the restaurant wasn’t open so I can’t comment on it.

Old school wäre ein Kompliment, trifft aber den Status nur bedingt. Der Teil des Dorint in dem unser Zimmer war, ist in die Jahre gekommen, Renovierungs- und/oder Instandhaltungs-Stau im Zimmer. Einrichtung der Zimmer nicht mehr zeitgemäß. TV eine Zumutung. Das Hotel war fully booked, umziehen in ein anders Zimmer somit nicht möglich. Auf eine Mail nach der Reservierungsbestätigung mit Wünschen zum Zimmer, hatte es keine Reaktion gegeben. Lage des Zimmers bescheiden. Bei der freundlichen Begrüßung an der Rezeption keine Hinweise zu Spa , Restaurants, Frühstückszeiten etc. Einen schlechten Tag kann jeder mal haben. Aber auch im Zimmer keinerlei Info. Sehr kleines Bad, sehr sauber, kein Badetuch vor der Dusche. Minibar minimalistisch bestückt, eine Preisliste liegt nicht aus. Am ersten Abend sind gegen 18 Uhr an der Bar nur 2 Gäste und ein Barmann. Ein nicht abgeräumter Tisch interessiert ihn nicht, wir als neue Gäste auch nicht. Er sortiert hinter der Bar von A nach B. Fährt dann mit einem „Servierwagen“ Leergut weg. Zurück an der Bar, Bestandspflege von Gläsern und Flaschen. Und erst danach kommt er zu uns und fragt nach der Bestellung. Den gewünschten Gin-Tonic serviert er wie einen Cocktail, alles in einem Glas, nach Reklamation serviert er Gin und Tonic getrennt. Am späteren Abend, gleicher Ort, gleicher Barmann, sehr viele Gäste. Man muss ein paar Minuten auf die Getränke warten, kein Problem. Sein Service ist jetzt, mit einer Ausnahme, besser, sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Aber, meine Frau bestellte einen zweiten „Brandy Alexander“, der Barmann nimmt das Glas meiner Frau von der Theke, kippt den kleinen Rest, ein „Brandy Alexander“ beinhaltet Sahne, Reste im Glas kleben also, weg, spült mit kaltem Wasser das Glas aus kühlt es mit Eiswürfel und befüllt es neu. Unfassbar! Ein zweiter Barmann kommt dazu, Begrüßung der Gäste an der Theke? Fehlanzeige. Abfrage zu Bestellungen? Fehlanzeige, statt dessen zeigt er mit ausgestrecktem Zeigefinger auf einen Gast der ohne Drink wartet und signalisiert auf diese Art, dass der Gast bestellen „darf“, unglaublich! Ein Gast neben mir registriert diese Szene, zuckt mit den Schultern und sagt: „Tagungshotel!“ Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist sehr gut, der Service auch. Wir nahmen an einem frisch eingedeckten Tisch Platz. Der Tisch hatte noch klebrige Ränder von vorher dort Abgestelltem. An Nachbartischen wurde abgeräumt, der Tisch wurde, um die Tischsets herum, mehr schlecht als recht gewischt, ebenso die Sets selber. Mit dem gleichen Lappen, der könnte ja Speisereste aufgenommen haben, fettig oder klebrig sein, wurden dann die Sitzflächen der Stühle abgewischt. Aufgrund der in 1 1/2 Tagen gemachten Erfahrungen, haben wir eine in Erwägung gezogene Verlängerung des Aufenthalts nicht umgesetzt.

The young lady at the front desk is very nice. Maybe because there are not too many people in the off-season, we changed a bigger room. It seems to be a family room. There is a small bed at the foot of the double bed. The view is very good. It is located at the corner of the building at the end of the corridor. I can see the city center and I can see the castle. The location of the hotel is invincible, out of the right side of the train station, you can see it when you look up. Breakfast is a typical Western style, it is different from person to person, but the view is still very good, sitting at the window can overlook the castle, bow down is the train station in and out of the crowd, I feel quite interesting. Next time, if I have another chance to come to Yanbao, I might choose this hotel.

The hotel is a little outside Weimar. Through a small Holperstein road comes closer to its destination. Parking are directly at the house incl. currently 1 cargo station. Our room - with small sauna - (we have once made something) was beautifully large. A living area with sofa (such as double bed) and a bedroom. A large bathroom including the small sauna, shower and “sitting bathtub”. Also there was a walkable box, in which the bags and bags also beauty to find place. Unfortunately the minibar was empty. Breakfast was fine. Corona-related there were 3 times: 7, 8 and 9 a.m. The house is a little rounded and has a chair, but also a stairway from the 2nd floor to breakfast and dinner. We haven't tested the wellness area because we had a sauna for us. The team of the house is really very careful and service-oriented. Be it the ladies from the room cleaning service or the gastronomy area.

Location, lovely restaurant and great staff I booked because it’s right opposite the train station ….. but this hotel is so much more. Often ‘right opposite the train station’ means you are sacrificing something in terms of appearance and slight seediness for the convenience - but not here ! It’s a lovely old hotel (with a nice history), restored several times over the years, with a particularly impressive glass-surrounded restaurant for all meals. Location - as well as being on a pretty square right in front of the train station it’s less than 10 minutes’ easy straight line walk from the museums and the historic old town. There are plenty of nicely located hotels in the centre too by the way - just not as good for train access. The hotel restaurant is a real delight. Go for the breakfast buffet with some of the best prepared hotel bacon I have ever come across - crispy, fat-free and warm - plus all the usual egg, cereal, fruit salad and bread options. Standard coffee good German filter not espresso (though that’s available at the bar); orange juice average. Supper was freshly cooked smallish choice (these do go hand in hand, of course) - have a look at the menu in advance and if there’s something you like the look of eat here, quality is excellent. Staff very friendly; rooms moderate size, very clean, toiletries provided (shower gel and shampoo, no lotion or conditioner). Large non-leaky showers. You can claim a free snack if you forego your room servicing (!) ….. Rooms are non-smoking but they provide a smokers’ lounge for *******. To be recommended.

I checked in at 7.4.23 15.00 online at the hotel. After entering my room, I had to notice that this was not particularly cleaned. In the bathroom and also the tape floor, dental cleaning cups missed. I told me at the reception which gave and reported for cleaning, she said tomorrow morning it will be cleaned then. The weaknesses toilet, bathroom and tape floor were not even so cleaned. The roller holder must not have been cleaned for ever. Drink still on the screwing of the toilet cover. On 9.4. 23 my room was not cleaned, and the beds were not made. Handtucks were not changed. Handle and bathtub were missing. If I didn't sleep like that. Dental cleaning cups were missing again. Then I picked up a tea at the automation and took this cup because the reception was not present, although up to 20.00 there was. Maybe a shoe suit would be fit. The breakfast offer was plenty and very good,it doesn't miss anything. There is something for every guest. The breakfast room is very small, I know other B&B hotels that offer more room and you can stay outside the breakfast times.
