This one is located at the foot of the Duofei Bridge, not far from the city center, relatively quiet, but it is only a kilometer to walk or go out to the No. 2 subway. Always feel inconvenient, but it is cheaper, the key is to be able to book. The hotel in Budapest is still quite difficult. This is a chain, and there are several in the city center.

The hotel is a good choice for a short stay. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, no noise during night. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and the coffee machine was really helpful. The bathroom was ok, the shower was tiny, with a problem with the doors not closing while in. The breakfast offered cold and hot choices. The coffee and the juices were really good. There were no bathrobes and slippers, as you would expect from a 4 stars hotel. Also, the walls are thin, you could hear the noises from the neighbors.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our vacation to Budapest. It is on the pest side and close to public transport. The front desk is always manned and check in was quick. The room was spacious and well maintained. The wifi worked fine and bf spread was decent. The person in the front was always courteous and helpful. He even gave us an electric kettle on request and gave us a map and restaurant suggestions close by. We had a comfortable stay and it is value for money stay.

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

Very good value for the money, incl. nice breakfast :) We stayed with 9 yo kid, fot the weekend in Budapest to see the beauty of the city. At first sight we overlooked this hotel on the map as it just wasnt straight in the old city centre, but just 4 bus or 3 metro stops aside, near new part called Corvin tér, which was very practical. We found nice modern room with quite big teracce, spacious bathroom and perfect modern beds. Our kid got equal single bed as an adult whch was superb. Hotel is very modern but simple with nice staff. At the breakfast, even in full capacity, everyone was satisfied. One minus is the area with huge amount of students and also the city garbage could be sorted out better on the surroundings of the hotel (not their fault, but they shoud maybe care about it a littlebit).

We enjoyed our 5-nights stay in Verdi Grand Hotel. Location is great, metro station is just 30 second away. Also you can walk a few minutes to Corvin setany where you can find a lot of restaurants, the Chinese restaurant called Spicy Fish is the best. We ate there 4 times. But there’s one thing I was not happy with, the hotel charged me > Ft 5000 for city tax when we checked out, but our booking in Trip.com should include all taxes and fees. If you book this hotel, be prepared to pay extra.

This is a nice little hotel, set just outside Budapests center. We arrived early evening and were given a room on the first floor over looking the courtyard. The room was nice and quiet, but as soon as you open the window you can hear the noise from the road. The room was adequate, nice and clean. Beds comfortable, well stocked fridge with tea and coffee. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient for us with Toast, cereal, pastries, fruit, scrambled egg, tea /coffee, fruit juice etc. But if you're looking for a full English then you will be out of luck! Hotel is situated about 100 yards from a square and shopping centre. The square has several restaurants, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, pizza, burger restaurants. So you can easily find something to eat. It's a good 35 min walk into the city centre, which if you're exploring all day makes for a long walk back. On our second day we discovered the tube station around the corner. Turn right out of the hotel, right again on to the main road and walk 2 mins to the cross roads where you will find the Corvin Negyed station. 3 stops along to Deak will bring you out close to St. STEPHENs Basillica and the Ferris wheel which are pretty central in Budapest. The tube fare was about £1.25 single per person. Tivket machines can be put into english. Far better than walking! Over all the hotel was comfortable for us and we would stay here again.

Traveling as a family has its challenges. We have 3 grown kids (20, 17, 14) and each needs their space. Escala delivered exactly what we needed. We took the top floor with 3 bedrooms, a living room and the balcony and it was the ideal place to start and end a vacation day in. Everything was organized, clean, 6 water bottles waited for us when we arrived. the balcony is amazing and it is the star. Breakfast was excellent. shopping center 3 minutes away and plenty of restaurants around. M3 metro station is 5 minutes walking. awesome location. And the last but definitely highlight of our experience was the level of service from the staff. I've needed their help multiple times and every time was getting their full attention, support and immediate reaction (extra blankets, restaurant reservations, etc.)

A solid performance from a good 'all round' experience. The hotel hasa great location overlooking the Danube. Well placed for nice walks, boat trips and restaurants alike. The hotel serves a thoroughly decent buffet breakfast in pleasant surroundings. The lobby and bar areas are very slick, contemporary styled and show a high degree of imagination. There is a physio /medical facility too. Seems to be very popular - offering a range of treatments. The spa pools are decent and the gym well equipped and a nice atmosphere. Great hotel, excellent stay and would welcome the opportunity to stay there again.

Check in at 12:00 on the same day, the hotel counter staff took the initiative to say that the room has been cleaned, and they can let us check in in advance, which is great! Although there are only four stars, the location in the city center is great. It is only a 5-minute walk from the New York Cafe. There is a shopping center next door, which is very convenient. Ask the hotel service staff about the taxi service, and take the initiative to remind us that the price of calling a taxi through the hotel is reasonable. Hotel is located 1-2 minutes from the market hall, and right next to the pedestrian zone, and maybe 1-2 minutes to the river abd bridge. So the location is very good. An airport shuttle bus station is about 10 minutes walking distance, very convenient. The hotel was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and big enough for a single traveler. We loved this hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights and wish we had booked for longer. The hotel is set back in a square and not immediately visible from the road but no difficulty in finding it. We stayed in room 701. The beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious. No noise from outside or inside the hotel was heard which enabled a great sleep. We had a coffee machine in our room but it had no instructions and we had no idea how to use it but there is a coffee machine at reception available all the time which supplies delicious coffee. The buffet breakfast was more than we could ask for with fabulous scrambled eggs! We had a late flight but the hotel supplies lockers for luggage free of charge so we were able to make the most of our last day. All members of staff were helpful and friendly and our housemaid was lovely. This hotel is in a lovely area for exploring and very central. We would definitely return!

Great location, right on a strip of restaurants with a shopping mall less that 30 seconds walk. The apartments are built on top of a Lidl so great for purchasing food to cook at home. There’s a great range of appliance and kitchenware, alongside a washing machine and iron. All in all it’s perfect and very well presented. Only thing that let them down was the cleanliness, we found hair everywhere (even round the sink and in the bath) balcony was dirty and so were the table and chairs. If it was properly cleaned I would have said 5*

We had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.

We loved our 5 night stay here, we opted for a 1 bedroom apartment. We were amazed at how big, clean and well equipped the apartment was (there were even a couple of laundry pods to do washing if you wished). The staff at reception were really welcoming and happy to help giving great advice. Location is fantastic as close to all the main sights with the metro, tram and bus stops at the top of the road. Close to some brilliant restaurants like Mozel Tof, Ghetto Goulash and Pork and Prezli (make sure you book) Really handy that the direct airport bus stop is just a 5 minute walk too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if coming to Budapest.

Ramada by Wyndham Budapest City Center

Budapest

We chose this hotel as it has just been opened and it still has this feeling of freshness. This comes with some drawbacks as well but let's focus on the advantages first. One of the most important one is naturally the location. It is just next to the main tourist places and you can visit all the main sites on foot. The room we got was decent in size; it overlooked the tiny yard which meant that it was - mostly - quiet. Apart from the air-con units which turned on and off at night both inside our room but also the generators outside. You could hear them when you opened the window. Breakfast is next door in the Mercure- albeit really good- it cannot be reviewed as Ramada breakfast. We found two things really frustrating which will prevent us from staying there again. The first one is the parking space. The hotel has no own parking lot and all they offer is looking for a place in the street. This is no good because in this area not only it is payable but also limited to 3 hours per day. Another option is a public parking lot a few hundred meters from the hotel. Not very convenient if you have luggage. The last one is the parking next door at the Mercure for ca 25 EUR per night. The receptionist at Ramada told us not to bother asking as it is usually full. Still we did ask and we conveniently parked there. The staff at Ramada are young and rather inexperienced compared to the Mercure. Finally, the glass door to the bathroom... OK with some pattern on it but still rather inconvenient when you share a room with someone. Also the elevator broke down one evening and was not functioning until noon next day and the hotel has 6 floors... All in all a decent place with no frills.

The location is good, just next to a metro stop. The hotel is located in the centre of the city. The reception treatment: the worst one I've been in different. I arrived at 13.56 and even at 14.01 did not answer me since checking was at 14.00, but the worst thing is not that indifference to the client if not the antipathy in explaining the rules... it is amazing still having read it before in others reviews users. The room that I was given was given to work at the hall of an indoor patio and had no intimacy because the inside of the room was seen from outside; I went to reception for if they could change my room and they did not listen to me directly It was all complete...which was not real since I asked the cleaning staff confirmed it to me.

At 59 this was my first stay at a hostel and I have to say it was fantastic. This one was situated in a perfect location next to the Basilica and easy to get anywhere either by walking, bus or the metro. I was staying close to a dental clinic that I was having treatment at which was less than a 5 minute walk. The hostel itself is a beautiful building and was kept exceptionally clean. I shared a room of 10 and saw many come and go as many were only there for a night. Although sleep wasn’t great due to the number of young people it was something I resigned myself to and not let it bother me. I’m nosy as hell so couldn’t wait to find out names, countries of origin and where they’d travelled. I understand there are many standards of hostel and I’m happy to say that this was great. It had a fully fitted kitchen, washing facilities and thankfully air conditioning as it was high 30 to 40 degrees. The staff were very kind and helpful and run a very organized ship. Thanks all for a great first time experience and rest assured I will be back ❤️❤️❤️

The reception was open 24/7 which was really handy for check in or if you wanted to grab some essentials like water conveniently. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The individual charging lockers and lamps were really handy beside each bed. I would definitely come back. Just bear in mind that there is no cleaning during your stay, which was no problem for us. The hardware of the hotel is good, the price/performance ratio is good, and the location is a little bit off, but if you have a traffic ticket, the traffic at the door is still very convenient. The only disgusting thing is the service of the hotel. The door card is inexplicably swiped repeatedly, and you have to go upstairs every day Swipe the door card repeatedly, sometimes the door still can't be opened. When we checked out, we were inexplicably charged for the phone bill, which cost dozens of dollars. It was strange to ask why, saying that we answered a call from a local friend. At that time, I was confused. Do I have to charge for answering the phone? The hotel manager explained that only room-to-room calls are free. After staying in the hotel for so many years, this is the first time I have encountered such a strange thing.

I think it is hard to find a place at this price point in Budapest where you don’t need to share a bathroom that checks all the important marks - it was clean, quiet, had helpful staff, and is in a safe and vibrant neighborhood. Plus it’s cool to say you slept on the Danube river. The only negative was that it is a little outside the tourist areas and is about a half mile from a public transportation station that goes to the main part of town. So adds a little bit of extra walking to your already tired legs. Still though - very happy with this choice.

The airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.
