She enthusiastically told me the best way to comfortably bike to the scenic spots and shared local food recommendations. It helped me perfectly avoid any pitfalls.

I brought my family to Guilin this time and chose the Dragon's Den Puyu Hotel's [Elephant Trunk Hill View Two-Bedroom Triple Room]. The hotel is directly opposite Gate 1 of Elephant Trunk Hill Park. It's just a three-minute walk across the street to the scenic area entrance. Our room's window faced Elephant Trunk Hill directly; pulling back the curtains revealed Guilin's iconic landscape painting. The room had everything – a fridge, mini-bar, and a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area, which made for a really comfortable stay!

Ha, the advantage of Lefeng is the fine decoration and 20+ square meters. It seems not as stable and practical as other cheaper brands. 1. There is a pull rod outside the bathroom door but not inside. In fact, it can be pushed open in both directions. 2. The faucet design is difficult to understand and control, and the wash basin is very small and splashes water. 3. The toilet paper holder is crooked and the paper fell to the ground. 4. There is no shelf in the shower. The toiletries are placed on the old crooked big bottle, which also fell to the ground. 5. The shower adjus**ent knob seems convenient but is actually difficult to understand. It is inevitable to be showered with a lot of cold water first. The top shower leaks and has a rotten hole. 6. The disposable slippers are small and dirty, and should be cancelled. Repair the bathroom quickly!

This is the best budget hotel you can find! The price is affordable, but they don't skimp on cleanliness or facilities. The room space is sufficient, and the air conditioning, TV, and bathroom are all in perfect working order, with no old or musty smells. Downstairs, there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants, and transportation is very convenient. Staff members 019, 014, 001, and 009 were all genuinely enthusiastic and helpful, never perfunctory. It's clean, quiet, and perfect for a temporary stopover. Excellent value for money!

My good reviews are always written willingly, hahaha~ Alright, now that you've read my first sentence, you can check out my objective review. This trip was just my husband and I, no kids, but I'm really looking forward to bringing our son next time~ The hotel is incredibly kid-friendly~ They have a starry sky pool, a kids' play area, and the restaurant food is very clean. Right outside is the Shui'erdi Pier, which is where the bamboo raft drift for the Yulong River's essence section departs. The hotel's hardware, software, decor, and cleanliness are all five-star, absolutely nothing to complain about. The service attitude is incredibly good, truly up to five-star hotel standards, I'm not kidding, especially since I've stayed at Lux and can compare~ The rooftop cafe is perfect for photos~ The afternoon tea 🫖 is nice! Every time we returned to the hotel, the front desk would warmly greet us, asking if we were tired or where we'd been. The front desk小姐姐 (young lady) even gave me mosquito repellent spray, a small bag, and a souvenir, I was so touched. We slept wonderfully at night, the hotel's soundproofing is excellent. Compared to the Muyu we stayed at the day before, across from the Romance Park, for a similar price, Mengyuan is heavenly, and Muyu is on the ground. Muyu's 1000+ yuan room only offered a view of a massive construction site, which was truly speechless. The hotel can help book tickets, and they're much cheaper. The hotel also offers electric scooter rentals 🛵 which is very convenient~ It's lovely to ride to West Street or Kang Kang Tangshui Shop for some dessert in the evening. Yangshuo's beautiful scenery was made even more special by the hotel. A perfect trip heals all stress and anxiety~ Thank you, Mengyuan, for giving my husband and me a perfect romantic getaway. We will definitely bring our child next time~ I'll recommend it to all my friends. ♥️ If I had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be the breakfast; it could be slightly better.

This Dragon Boat Festival, I took my child to stay at the Wapan Yinshe Hotel. It was raining a bit when we first arrived in Yangshuo, and I was worried that bad weather would spoil our fun, but this hotel gave us a huge surprise! As soon as we entered, there were charming streams and bridges, with many beautiful koi swimming around. The front desk lady even gave my child fish food to feed them, which made my kid incredibly happy. The hotel's children's facilities were also excellent; while my child played in the ball pit, I relaxed on the nearby sofa. When it wasn't raining, my child had a blast on the slide at the mushroom house, and I enjoyed coffee under the canopy. For the Dragon Boat Festival, the hotel also offered a zongzi-making experience. After we made them, the hotel cooked them for us to enjoy. Eating the zongzi we made ourselves felt so special. Usually, taking my child on trips leaves me exhausted, but this time, I truly felt relaxed and refreshed! 😎

The room was clean and comfortable, and although the facilities were a bit old, they were complete. The breakfast was rich and, more importantly, delicious. The chefs making rice noodles and omelets were working incredibly hard! During the National Day holiday, there were handicraft activities, and I got to try making a Zhuang brocade bracelet. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were warm and attentive! The concierge manager sent us a map of nearby attractions in advance. The bellhop, upon learning we ordered takeout just for our child to watch the robot deliver it, specifically waited for the robot to be fixed and then gave us an extra little toy. Before we left, we entrusted our 'Nailong' balloon to the lobby attendant to give to someone who might appreciate it, and she exchanged it for a small toy. Everyone contributed to our child's emotional well-being on this trip! Although I don't know their names, I sincerely thank them! This place definitely deserves five stars!

Coming to Guilin in October, staying in a hotel where you can quietly view Elephant Trunk Hill amidst the fragrant osmanthus blossoms all over the street is sheer bliss 🌼 I chose the Vignette Collection hotel (Jingxiang Hotel), right by the Li River and very close to Elephant Trunk Hill. Instead of squeezing through the crowded scenic spots, I could enjoy the textbook Elephant Trunk Hill all to myself right from the room's floor-to-ceiling windows and the 270° terrace on the 7th floor. The hotel design has a great texture, the room facilities are comfortable, and the breakfast is also quite distinctive. The rooftop terrace on the 7th floor (Alice's Garden) is simply amazing. Feeling the breeze, smelling the city-wide osmanthus fragrance, the Li River and karst peaks are all in full view. The first-floor lobby, dessert bar, and Jingxiang Pavilion are all super photogenic; portraits combined with the landscape look great straight out of the camera. This is how a lazy person's trip to Guilin should be—no rushing, just taking it slow smelling the osmanthus, gazing at the mountains and the river, “privately booking” Elephant Trunk Hill at Jingxiang, and unlocking the most therapeutic autumn day in Guilin.

This is my second time staying here, and I am extremely satisfied. The front desk staff are all exceptionally polite and welcoming. The check-in and check-out processes were completely seamless, and I didn't even have to push my own luggage. The bedding was super comfortable and made for a great night's sleep! The bathroom was also clean and tidy. I was so lucky to get a room upgrade and early check-in this time—a huge thank you to the lovely receptionist. The minibar drinks were complimentary, and they also included a complimentary 30-minute essential oil back massage. The therapist was very skilled, and it was a wonderful, de-stressing experience. I'm totally in love with the buffet breakfast here; the rice noodles are authentic 👍 with a huge variety of dishes, and both the fruits and vegetables were very fresh. I can't wait to come back again!

We stayed here during the October Golden Week holiday, booking a Deluxe Room on the 6th floor with a mountain view. The window offered a great view of the hotel lawn, pool, and distant mountains. The Deluxe Club Lounge provides light meals. Since we were traveling with seniors and children who can't eat spicy food, we actually had fewer opportunities to try local delicacies outside the hotel, which is typical for family trips. We stayed for five days, and every evening we had dinner at the Club Lounge. The restaurant changed 1-2 hot dishes daily, but most other items remained the same. They always had freshly made Guilin rice noodles. Food quantity and hygiene were definitely not issues. I enjoy drinking tea, and it was available from day to night, conveniently located on the same floor as our room. During the Golden Week, my child participated in a paid cookie-making activity. There were four children, and the session was well-organized, and the finished cookies were good. My child loved it. On October 5th, we had booked a day trip to Longji Terraces, and the tour guide informed us we needed to leave at 5:40 AM, which meant missing breakfast. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they offered to pack a simple breakfast for us to take on the road. It included a boiled egg, yogurt, an apple, four types of small bread, and a bottle of water – very good, clean, and hygienic. Besides the view, the hotel room also had good soundproofing. The shower head had strong water pressure, and I didn't notice any of the yellowing or damage mentioned in some reviews. However, the complimentary bottled water was a bit difficult to open, and there were no disposable toilet seat covers provided. The hotel gym has a free ping-pong room. My son and I visited it twice and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant family trip.

Jiangjing Hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled by mountains and a clear, emerald Li River flowing gently past. We booked a room with a balcony, and waking up to the thin morning mist drifting over the nearby and distant mountains felt like being in a fairyland. Before arriving in Lingchuan, I did a little research and learned that the local market (Ganxu) is held on the 2nd, 5th, and 8th of each month, with the 2nd coinciding with a family member's birthday. We specifically wanted to experience the local hustle and bustle. From the hotel's main entrance, a 10-15 minute walk to the right leads to a promenade. At the end of the promenade, turning left takes you to the market, and turning right leads to the ancient town – the directions were very clear. The market was incredibly lively; we bought local mulberries, osmanthus rice wine, and even Ash Alkaline Rice Dumplings, which are popular in Guangdong and Guangxi. We visited the ancient town in the afternoon. Originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty, the most prominent remaining relic is the Longevity Bridge from the Ming Dynasty (Wanli era). The Republican period was likely the ancient town's most glorious commercial era, and I truly hope the modern buildings can be restored and maintained. The mountains, the water, and the people. After admiring the scenery, let's talk about the staff at Jiangjing. Team members 12 and 27 were particularly attentive. One sent us navigation details before we even arrived and helped us upgrade our stay. The other's massage technique was exceptionally professional; it greatly relieved the shoulder and neck fatigue from a long drive, even though the process was quite 'intense.' I highly recommend dining at the hotel; not only is the ambiance pleasant, but the food is also delicious, and most importantly, the oil and rice are safe. The kitchen even prepared a longevity noodle dish for us upon learning it was a family member's birthday. Lastly, I must mention Mr. Tu, an elderly hero who participated in the Sino-Vietnamese War. At over 70, he's still hale and hearty, wearing a military cap, and his eyes are sharp as an eagle's. I wish everyone the good fortune to meet this elder, hear his stories of fierce battles, and appreciate the beautiful life we have today 🙏

I stayed at two hotels in Guilin this time: the Grand Palace Hotel and the Shangri-La. I stayed at the Grand Palace first. For over 400 yuan a night, I was quite surprised upon entering. Such luxurious decor, plus a swimming pool and gym – it felt like a full five-star setup. The value for money was incredible. Since it was a family trip, we booked two rooms. We arrived a bit late, and couldn't find adjacent rooms on the lower floors. The front desk even helped by calling the housekeeping staff to communicate. After some discussion, they managed to get us two rooms right next to each other. I'd like to thank the ladies at the front desk for being so warm and polite. I've forgotten their names, but I think one of them was surnamed He? The hotel's swimming pool is great. The children's pool is a suitable 1.2 meters deep, while the adult pool is 1.5 meters, separated by steps. The gym faces the outdoor pool, so it doesn't feel cramped, and the kids had a blast. The next day, we went to Shangri-La and immediately felt it wasn't worth it. For over 980 yuan a night, the room wasn't even as big as the one at the Grand Palace, and all the facilities were old and worn. My wife said she didn't even want to use the bathtub after seeing it. The front desk staff were also very robotic, constantly saying 'we cannot provide that.' It really made me feel that Shangri-La has declined, from its hardware to its service. Overall, the hotel (Grand Palace) was excellent, exceeding expectations in terms of value for money, and highly suitable for family trips. If I had to point out any issues, a few breakfast dishes could use improvement. The milk lacked flavor, and the grapefruit yogurt was excessively, sickeningly sweet – very unhealthy.

Such a shame I booked the hotel only to relax at the pool, but half day was closed and the other half was full of kids. Staff wasn’t very friendly either. Everytime I asked for something, they seemed to be bothered. Probably not used to foreigners. However, the breakfast and dinner buffet was absolutely great, rich and tasty (and food was not spicy).

I highly recommend this hotel in Guilin. The location is excellent; Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas are all within walking distance. There are also many noodle shops and highly-rated restaurants nearby. We traveled to Guilin with our child and chose a family room on the 10th floor. The kids' play area is right outside the door in the hallway, and our child absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave the hotel. The rooms in this row, facing the play area, are very spacious and comfortable. They also come equipped with rocking horses, crawling mats, and small tents, making it an ideal choice for a family trip. On top of that, it offers great value for money. The hotel breakfast was also good; we stayed for three days, and the breakfast menu was different every morning. Oh, and the front desk also provided different small desserts every evening, which was a very nice touch!

Checked in yesterday, and the receptionist kindly upgraded me to a larger room. I also had a few packages delivered, and the front desk staff helped me organize them together for easy pickup, thumbs up! They recommended a Guilin rice noodle spot too; although it's a small place, it's always packed with a long queue. The taste was great and really suited my palate. Zhengyang Pedestrian Street and the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas are both within walking distance.

We stayed one night at The Grand Link hotel a wuick stop in Guilin before we moved on to the Longji rice terraces. Check in was smooth, passports copies taken paid an extra deposit to be refunded when we left. Our room was average, dark decor and very minimal lighting - which come dark this was abit of a nightmare! Lots of damp areas in the decor in the main bedroom and bathroom walls. The room did have everything we needed but glad we only had one night here. The children enjoyed an hour in the pool, a welcome break from the heat. Check out wasn’t the best, we got up at 5am to be on our way to Longji by 6am but when we went to check out the man asked us to wait 5 minutes for the room to be checked for the deposit to be refunded - but this in the end took 35 minutes! I’m just glad we weren’t up early for a flight or something like or I would have panicked more about missing it with how long it took!

The water park wasn't open as it wasn't summer, but the performers at the theme park had a lot of interactive segments with the audience. The animals in the ocean world were adorable, especially the sea lions – I even captured a funny moment with them. Overall, it was a good stay with excellent value for money. If you have time, you can try kayaking on the hotel's back lake, which is great for families with kids. Highly recommended!

Room service was very quick to replenish our water supply, which was great. Guaranteed late check-out until 2:00 PM: Since we checked in quite late, the hotel extended our check-out to 2 PM, which was very thoughtful. The front desk also upgraded our room, and the swimming pool was nice. My family was very satisfied with this stay. The front desk service was excellent. They guided us to our room during check-in and had already turned on the air conditioning. The next evening, I forgot my makeup remover wipes, and the front desk was very helpful. After checking in, I added the concierge on WeChat, and they were always quick to respond to any issues. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located right by the Two Rivers and Four Lakes. There's a small gate that leads right out for a post-dinner stroll. Our lake view room faced trees instead of a street, making it exceptionally quiet. I also noticed some international guests staying there. Personally, although the hotel opened in 2021, four years after opening, the design is quite inconsistent. The public areas are youthful and trendy, while the rooms are more old-fashioned and business-class. It's a shame given the low customer base. If a reputable, younger, established hotel group were to manage the hotel, it would likely be revitalized. In particular, it would require cooperative tour groups to address transportation issues. It also requires research on customer traffic trends to differentiate between vacationers and groups. I hope the hotel owners will continue to improve.

2. We arrived at 8pm on the 12th. The hotel is in a village and the environment is pretty good! There are 2 points of satisfaction: 1. There are two beauties at the front desk. The room was already prepared for us. 2. The room was specially changed to a room with a terrace on the 3rd floor. The room is the same as the photo of the terrace. 3. Another beauty (this beauty probably saw that I won the special prize and the other beauty didn't cash it for me, so she felt embarrassed) was afraid that we didn't know the way, so she took us to the room! There are 3 points of dissatisfaction: 1. The special prize was not cashed! The process was like this: the twin bed room prepared for us was not the king bed room I booked, so the beauty changed it for me, and it didn't take long! While waiting, there was a lucky draw wheel next to me, so the child started to spin it. Another beautiful lady gave the child a small gift. I asked what happened, and she said that there is a lucky draw for every room check-in. I went to spin it, and I won the special prize. She said that your child had already won a consolation prize, so my special prize does not count, and the special prize is quite big (one night's accommodation, hot spring for 3 people...). I said that you didn't tell me before the child started to spin it, and besides, shouldn't you tell the adults directly about this? She also said that a child had won the special prize before, but it didn't count, so whoever won the special prize doesn't count! My husband said that we were out for fun during the Chinese New Year, so forget it and don't bother with her! 2. Going to the hot spring is a torture! The package I booked includes hot springs. I went to soak at 9 o'clock after checking in that night. The hot spring owner said there were no bathrobes and asked me to come back after 3:30 pm the next day. As a result, the hot spring pools had to be cleaned and drained one by one. Each pool was opened only after people arrived. I had to clean the pool first and then drain the water. And there seemed to be only one staff member. I had to wait for nearly an hour. After finally figuring it out, the pool was occupied by two *** (the two people also didn't soak the day before, and went to occupy the pool angrily the next day). I had to wait for nearly an hour again for another pool to open. I went to soak at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and didn't have the mood to soak. The hot springs in Quanzhou Dabitou Hot Spring and Longsheng Hot Spring Hotel are not so weird! 3. The Qianjiadong Resort in the package is not the ticket for the cave, but a walk around the hotel. Do I need to explain this specifically? Can't I walk around the hotel when I stay in the hotel? In short, I won't go there a second time!

If you are looking for the perfect hotel in Yangshuo, look no further, because you found it. At first I believed that all the hype was just that, but experiencing this hotel is literally a painting coming to life. The service staff is beyond attentive and looking out for your well-being. Bella was our host and, together with her colleagues, was always just a WeChat window away for any request. We needed an iron and it was brought to the room within five minutes. We missed the included afternoon tea the first night, so they put some dessert to the side and brought it, as well as a sweet little Chinese soup, to our room. This is really next-level service I have not witnessed before. Our room was in building 8, which is like a five-minute walk, if you take your time walking. However, they offer to drive you from one building to another in a golf cart whenever you need. You just need to give a short heads-up. The room was simply stunning. We didn’t use the bathtub in the room since we had a wonderful pool right there in building 8. Breakfast was served at building 2, where you can gaze at the wonderful Yangshuo (20-RMB bank note view) karst mountains while munching down on your Western or Eastern-style breakfast. I opted for the freshly made beef noodle soup because, of course! Included in the price is a 30-minute photo shoot with a professional photographer, also from the hotel, who also offers you the chance to put on costumes in the studio, if you want. The photos can be taken in building 2 or 8. We wanted to have them taken in building 2, since the garden offers so many cool and interesting settings. Even a Tolkien-style hobbit house or stairs to heaven. The kicker is that you get them dropped right onto your phone. No waiting needed! Also, if you need to wash your clothes, they have several modern washing machines and dryers on the second floor of building 8 at no extra charge. They even provide detergent, etc. We only stayed two nights, but we look forward to coming back again. Next time I will try not to forget anything in the room, but even for the item I forgot, they generously offered to send it to the next hotel we stayed at in Shenzhen. ”No problem at all,” they said. We were in awe.

The hotel is located right by Rong Lake, near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, which is very quiet. In the mornings, you can hear birds chirping from the park. It's a 15-minute walk to the free Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area, and a 7-minute walk to see the Sun and Moon Pagodas at night, where you can also take a cruise. This location pretty much covers all the attractions in Guilin city. All the hotel staff were lovely, and I especially want to thank a female staff member or supervisor at the front desk – I'm not entirely sure which she was. It had been raining for days, and after checking out, we canceled our train to Yangshuo, fearing flooding and that we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves there. She told us that since we had traveled so far, we should still go and see it, as the scenery is beautiful and it doesn't rain constantly; we wouldn't know until we got there. So, we re-bought our tickets and went. She even helped us make a waterproof cover for our child's camera, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we got there, we found it hadn't rained for the past two days, and we were able to enjoy bamboo rafting and everything. The scenery truly was breathtaking, and it was definitely worth the trip! Coming all the way from Beijing, it certainly made our long journey worthwhile. We came here in a hurry this time and didn't plan anything, relying entirely on the information and advice from the front desk concierge. Their explanations made everything so much clearer. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip.

For my last stop in Guilin, I booked this hotel, initially just planning to stay one night. I never expected that the biggest surprise of my 7-day trip would come from this place! Built right by the river, I got to experience fishing by the Li River, even seeing cormorants up close. Instead of squeezing through the crowded scenic spots, I could enjoy the textbook Elephant Trunk Hill all to myself right from the room's floor-to-ceiling windows and the 270° terrace on the 7th floor. The hotel design has a great texture, the room facilities are comfortable, and the breakfast is also quite distinctive. The rooftop terrace on the 7th floor (Alice's Garden) is simply amazing. Feeling the breeze, smelling the city-wide osmanthus fragrance, the Li River and karst peaks are all in full view. The first-floor lobby, dessert bar, and Jingxiang Pavilion are all super photogenic; portraits combined with the landscape look great straight out of the camera. This is how a lazy person's trip to Guilin should be—no rushing, just taking it slow smelling the osmanthus, gazing at the mountains and the river, “privately booking” Elephant Trunk Hill at Jingxiang, and unlocking the most therapeutic autumn day in Guilin.

The hotel was recently renovated, so the smell in the hallway was quite strong, though the room itself was a bit better. I'm not sure why the room windows don't have screens; I wanted to air out the room but was worried about mosquitoes and other insects. Also, the floor was a bit dirty; I'm not sure if it's the floor itself, but my baby crawled around and their pants and hands got quite grubby (though it wouldn't matter if we wore shoes, haha). Breakfast was quite simple with limited options. On the positive side, the facilities are new, the room has excellent blackout curtains, and the staff are very friendly and proactively ask if you need anything. The crib is only suitable for very young babies who can't stand yet, but they do provide bed rails. Ordering takeout is very convenient as a robot delivers it to your door. The rooftop viewing deck is quite nice and perfect for watching the sunset.

This hotel is genuinely great! I started looking at hotels while still on the high-speed train and browsed through many options before being captivated by the beautiful views this one offered. The front desk even called us in advance to ask about our arrival time and thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning for us. After checking in, a staff member helped carry our luggage to the room. On the way, he explained all the hotel's facilities. The sky garden on the seventh floor is absolutely stunning 🤩, and I even caught the sunrise there the next morning, which was truly breathtaking. Watching the Xiaoyao Tower from the sky garden at night is incredibly beautiful. The hotel's gym and laundry room are well-equipped, and the laundry room even has an ironing machine, which is a big plus! The room's interior has a retro-chic decor style, augmented with smart room controls, giving it a simple yet grand feel. The mini-fridge in the room is a nice touch and stocked with complimentary drinks. It's a pity I overslept and missed breakfast. Lastly, I personally found the room to be very quiet! Not as exaggeratedly noisy as some reviews suggested! Next time I'm in Guilin, or if friends visit Guilin, I will definitely recommend the Xinyu Hotel.
