Downtown/Elephant Trunk Hill/Two Rivers And Four Lakes Guilin|1.01km from downtownI hesitated for a long time before booking, because I was afraid the hotel was too old and the facilities could not keep up. In addition, the photos of Ctrip passengers are indeed old. Fortunately, a colleague had stayed there and thought it was pretty good, so I chose Guilin Hotel.
Guilin Hotel has a main building and a VIP building. The young lady at the front desk said the main building is better.
There were activities in the main building on Double Eleven, and I grabbed the coupons and lived in a lake-view room. The hotel is located beside Ronghu Lake, and the lake view room is facing Ronghu Lake. The lights will be lit along the lake at night, which is also a small scene.
The room is much better than I thought, and it is much better than the picture. European-style decoration is mainly white and gold, which may not be very photogenic. The sealing strip of the bathroom shower room is made to fit very closely, and no water will leak out in the bath. Many international hotels cannot do this kind of natural details.
The infrastructure is complete, the TV is the simplest operation, and the elderly can also use it without obstacles. The rooms are medium in size, not very large, but can be moved. The bathroom is relatively small. If the bathroom door is opened, it will affect the entrance and exit of the shower room. It will be crowded if two people are in the bathroom at the same time.
The bedding is good, the mattress is hard, waist-friendly, and sleeps well at night.
The soundproofing of the rooms and corridors is not very good. The people in the next room can hear clearly when talking or knocking at the door. I just ran into the next room when I checked in. I don’t know why the door lock can’t be opened. Then they grouped more than 20 people. Just standing in the hallway chatting and complaining, lasted about 30 minutes. I feel quite noisy in the house.
The breakfast was quite satisfactory, and there were choices to be full. There are Guilin rice noodles, camellia, rice candy, various steamed buns and stir-fried vegetables, and there are many choices of fruits. Chinese food is okay, but Western food is a bit worse. The bread slices are baked beforehand and you can't eat soft. The milk is very light, it feels like powdered milk. The salad has fewer vegetables and sauces. It is recommended to add a vinaigrette.
The steak buffet included in the set meal has not yet been tried. If there is a chance to eat it in the past two days, I will review it later.
The attitude of the waiter is very good, will take the initiative to greet each other, basically responsive to requests, and did not encounter the impatience mentioned on the Internet. Check-in at the front desk is also fast.
Anyway, the overall rating is five stars, a worthwhile trip.
