We reserved a more expensive king room a very long time ago, but finally we got a double bed room on our first day without any refund, what we got is only complementary breakfast, for a couple it’s extremely bad experience. We ask for daily cleaning and I do remind the staff at the front desk before I leave the room for journey on a day, but we found that the cleaning lady forget cleaning the room and the lady pass the buck that we put the do not disturb sign at the door handler which is not the FACT! Also we are care about safe at lobby, but we do found tramp coming lobby for a free coffee at self serve coffee machine, hotel need to address this serious problem as soon as possible, I sincerely hope the hotel can read this review seriously and understand my disappointment.

This hotel is very cost-effective among the many old hotels in MTL. The design is relatively modern, and it should be relatively new, with a more log style. The front desk attitude is also very good. The location is quite good, and it is a 10-minute walk to the old port. One thing that I think is very good is that the light-shielding effect is very good, even in the morning it will not be too bright to wake people up

Service at concierge was excellent. This lady at the breakfast, her name Mayra, should change her job. No customer care at all. She gave us attitude when we checked in to access the breakfast room. In fact we did not go back for the rest of the 3 days. Also, They missed a day to clean out room and to change our towels due to new year eve rush. Lastly, The 5-10 minutes waiting for an elevator every time it is something they need to resolve. Location is excellent but they should improve in the restorations and modernization of the floors and rooms. Wall paper coming off, in the corridors, paint peeling off in the shower. It looks very sloppy. For CAD$350 per night I would have aspected something better.

We were very fortunate and truly grateful to be checked in early by the kind gentleman working in the reception. Hotel is localed nearby to the various attractions within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is within 10-15 minutes from the main train station and highly recommended to stay for ease of exploring the various attractions and breakfast was included.

There is an attached restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which provides a continental breakfast. It costs 11 knives per person (approximately). Then you can choose your own food with milk (cold), morning cereals, bagels, bacon, sausages, yogurt and fruit. You can also order your own breakfast. Good location, 5 minutes walk from Chinatown subway station, 8 minutes walk from Laogang. No extra bed available. There is generation parking service.

We stayed as a family of four (two younger children). The location was very good for us, because the hotel was close to the science museum and Chinatown, which was handy because of most places being closed on Christmas. Additionally, the relevant bus lines and subway station was pretty close by, so travelling without a car or relying on Uber was simple. The swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna were good, except the pool only had one depth (1.15 meters). So little kids who aren't proficient swimmers would need an adult to be with them in the pool. Our only real gripe was that there were no toiletries (bar soap, lotion, etc.) in the bathroom when we first arrived, but that was quickly remedied with a call to the front desk. Overall, a decent value for the convenient location and the modern room.

Great hotel. Staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable. The location is central, just be mindful of the junkies outside. Not all will agree but there are too many pot heads in the smoking area that give this skunk smell outside. And I didn't appreciate that we couldn't access the balcony, apparently to 'protect' residents from the noise(??). Now this is weird, allowing ***** everywhere but not travellers chatting on balconies. Then do not advertise the balconies maybe?

The hotel's location is excellent. Many attractions in the old town are within walking distance, and for those further away, there's a bus stop right outside with the 747 route. However, there's no way to heat water in the room, not even a coffee maker, and the front desk doesn't provide one. The pot of coffee offered by reception each morning is gone before 10 AM. We arrived around 8 AM, and the front desk insisted we couldn't check in until after 4 PM, not even a minute sooner.

Loved this hotel! It was right in Centerville and walking distance to several restaurants, cafes, and parking garages. The room was clean and immaculate and had a nice city view. Housekeeping cleaned out our room without having to request it. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Breakfast came with our room which consisted of fresh pastries. Fruits, cereal, yogurt, eggs and several beverage options (juices, coffee, and water). I will definitely stay here again!

Very nice helpers receptionist that could assist you in several services and most know both English and French. Parking can be a little hard when there are more cars, but is relatively easy with open areas for you to park in. Overall, the hotel was really clean with clean beds, TV service and the bathrooms are considerably large and open-spaced, making the atmosphere of the hotel room more lively. Lots of privacy in case you don’t feel too safe. The given keycards are also extremely easy to tap on the scanner. The windows in the room are made up of small pieces, the design is a bit strange, there is no view at all, and there is insufficient daylight. The water pipe switch of the toilet wash basin is very inconvenient, and water will flow from the cracks to the ground after washing hands. The electric induction toilet toilet seat is a bit annoying. Shower room is worthy of praise, the shower is very comfortable and the bed is very comfortable. I love this hotel nestled in the heart of Old Montréal and Old Port. I had a great room with a wonderful corner view of Old Montréal, it’s rooftops, the Grande Roue and the little cafes and boutiques below. Room is very comfortable. I love the long modern working desk, the comfy lounge chair, plush bedding and above all the spa multi jet shower… Because of pandemic restrictions most of the amenities of the hotel were not accessible. The hotel has such a nice lounge and bar area but I couldn’t go there. The gym was also off limits. There is an outdoor courtyard that was advertised as open even in the winter with fire pits but it wasn’t accessible during my stay. My only complaint would be that my room was drafty but I also stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year and I could adjust the heat in the room. I asked for a throw blanket to cuddle in while reading in the lounge chair. They brought me the cuddliest faux fur blanket, I was almost thankful for the draft. Can’t wait for my next opportunity to stay here. In my opinion, this hotel is more geared towards adults (solo/business/couples/adult getaways) rather than families with young children. It has a high-end, modern, chic vibe. However, I’m quite sure they would accommodate children too. Photos don’t do the view justice. They were taken during a snow storm with poor visibility. Under normal conditions, was really nice and at night, so beautiful with all the lights and illuminated Grande Roue.

My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms. We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow. For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests. Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name. Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings. I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

This is a perfect hotel. It has no other problems except being expensive. It is the best hotel in the whole trip. I stayed there for two nights. After returning from the second night, I received a notice saying that the water supply in the whole Montreal was cut off. But I still gave it a five-star rating. I didn't have a shower that night, and there was no water until I checked out the next day. The hotel delayed my check-out until 1 o'clock and gave me four more bottles of mineral water. There is a jewelry store downstairs from the hotel, and there are watches. I liked one but it was out of stock. It was also very comfortable to sit at the door and feed the pigeons

My experience was awful. The first night a false alarm went off in the entire hotel at 4:45am. The next day we came back to our room and the room service was not done. Lastly, since the hotel was going through renovations, our last night at the hotel was horrible since the day before the AC units on our floor were turned off cause of the same renovations previously stated. In summary, an awful experience especially for how expensive the hotel was. The only good thing was the location but will never stay at this Embassy Suites again

Even after checking in at 3pm, my bed wasn't ready. They give you key cards to open your lockers, but they are not used for opening your Capsule. Your Capsule can be simply opened by pushing the doors, which feels quite unsafe considering it could be opened by anyone else. Moreover, the upper and lower bunk numbers are distinguished by signs showing the shape of the doors (rounded or squared), which could be easily mistaken. I had somebody else lying in my Capsule once I opened it. This should be improved by the hostel. At least they can make it clear by using arrows writing up and down.
