The internal environment of the hotel is very good, the decoration is very beautiful and very clean.
The room is also clean and tidy, but there is no exhaust fan in the room. The smell of the bathroom is difficult to disperse, especially the closed room without windows.
The service is difficult to say. I booked a superior room with windows and balconies. When I checked in, I said that the room was gone. The room I upgraded was the result of the ”upgraded” room. It was a fully closed room without windows! I don't agree, but the hotel said there was no room. The ”discussion” result was to give me free dinner. I didn't have a choice. Who is discussing right and wrong with you? As an employee of a luxury hotel, you should patiently help guests solve problems! Although the suite area is a bit roundabout, it is a historical building after all, and was the communication room for the Inca Empire to convey orders (the Inca civilization did not develop writing).
The breakfast is quite satisfactory.
Because of the historical building, the wall is relatively thin, and the noise is still relatively loud. As a 50-square-meter suite, there is enough space for a bathtub but there is only a huge shower room... Is it because of the high altitude of Greater Cusco?FromTWD 4,595

Belmond Monasterio: The Best Hotel in Cusco, Beyond Any Comparison
Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice.
The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece.
Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt.
I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name.

I stayed at this hotel twice; in between I went to Macchu Pichu and left the baggage at the hotel.
Location wise - it’s very central with a PeruRail office next door albeit the other ones are not too far.
Reception is 24hr and there is a nice courtyard with a restaurant as well as a common area with a kitchen at the back.
I stayed in the Teepee tent on both occasions; first time the rate was more affordable at around gbp40/night. In July, the night gets cold. But the tent does have additional blankets and a heater. This worked except on the last night as it seems it stopped in middle of the night. Without the heater, the room was quite cold. The common bathroom is at the back; the showers are ok and you get enough privacy. I noticed the hot water does take a while to come through. I left the baggage in the storage - no issues. What is incredible is that Ctrip booked us a basement on the first night, and after negotiation, we moved to the first floor for the second stay. staffs were super friendly and helpful. stayed there 2 separate nights. one before machu picchu and the other after i return to cusco from machu picchu. rooms were reasonably spacious and well maintained. hot water shower was good. bed was comfy. breakfast was a in my opinion pretty decent and value for money. it starts as early as 5am so u can catch your morning tours after breakfast. they help u store luggage as you embark on your MP trip and return later so u don’t have to book extra night just to keep your luggage in the hotel if u are staying in aguas calientes for a night (u likely cannot bring ur large suitcases up the peru/inca rail). location wise it’s certainly walkable to the plaza. however i can hear noises from outside. i believe it’s the same with most hotels too in anycase.FromTWD 2,981

Cute hotel which is very well located in Cusco in between San Pedro Market and the historic centre. The father and son who run the place are extremely welcoming and the room is very clean. Breakfast is simple but nice and the staff are very attentive. They were very kind to pack us a breakfast bag when we were leaving early in the morning for our sacred valley tour.
The room we stayed in was quite small but I think other rooms might be bigger since it's a converted house. It would be nice if there was a couple of small bottles of water in the room when you arrive rather than having to pay for it, especially given the altitude.FromTWD 2,214

The staff in this place are the most considerate, friendly, and helpful people I have ever came across in a hotel while travelling. The room had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. I had a light meal when I first arrived and it was very good. We had a wonderful stay at Hampton Hotel in Cusco. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special mention to Wilma, who went the extra mile to accommodate our request to change to a room with a queen bed instead of two standard beds—her helpfulness made a big difference.
The rooms are new, clean, and comfortable with fresh bedding, and the breakfast was very good. Overall, an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cusco.FromTWD 3,544
