We had a great experience at Thaiwoo Ski Resort! The resort is very well organized, with a wide variety of slopes for different levels. The pistes are well prepared, and the area is beautiful, especially in winter.Everything is convenient and easy to navigate—lifts work smoothly, and the overall atmosphere is fun and lively. There are plenty of places to rest, eat, and warm up between runs. It’s a great place for both beginners and more experienced skiers and snowboarders. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Thaiwoo Ski Resort to anyone coming to Chongli for winter sports.

The hotel is a bit old, but it's well-maintained overall, and the location is good – quiet and away from the crowds. The downsides are that the hotel's linens definitely need replacing; they're old, dark, and stiff. The mattress and pillows are uncomfortable. Especially the pillows, they smell like they've been used for ages and are oily and rancid.

The kids like the toys and colors in the parent-child room. The staff are warm, polite and timely, trying to meet the requirements. The breakfast is rich. The room is quiet. The exterior glass is a bit dirty. The food and beverage prices are expensive. The piano in the lobby can be opened. Will come back.

Thaiwoo Ski Resort/Wanlong Ski Resort Zhangjiakou|50.42km from city center
I stayed at this hotel with my kids for a Spartan race. The facilities are old and in disrepair! The food at Qinglong Restaurant isn't cheap; 58 RMB for pre-made Kung Pao chicken is an outrageous price! The environment around the hotel isn't well-maintained either. Another bizarre thing is that the accommodation fee included tickets to a circus show 20 kilometers away, when there's clearly a circus just 5 kilometers from the hotel. If they're going to offer a free gift, why not one that's conveniently located? What were they thinking? Jinhua Qishi tickets: I had a quick look, it was decent, suitable for young children. Fulung Chongli Grand Circus: This one really grinds my gears! A woman claiming to be staff from Genting Ski Park contacted me, telling me she had booked tickets for the evening show. She misled me by saying: 1. It was a 10-minute drive, very close; 2. We'd have great seats in a premium area. The result? A nearly 50-kilometer round trip! And the seats were in a corner, right on the edge! If I had known, why would we have bothered going? What's even more frustrating is that when we arrived at the circus entrance, the security guard wouldn't let us in. Even after saying we were guests from Genting, the guard said he had nothing to do with Genting and that we needed to get tickets from whoever booked them for us, and we could only enter by showing the tickets. After several phone calls to this female staff member, she reluctantly added me on WeChat and sent me a screenshot of their group chat. Only after she spoke to the guard and I showed the screenshot were we finally allowed in. This whole experience was disgusting, pure hassle! The performance was just the most basic circus show – two bears, two lions, a few small dogs, and that was it... The clown was also the magician and the acrobat, and the girl selling balloons was also the magician's assistant and an acrobat... To be fair, if it weren't for such a disgusting lead-up, the show itself (as a complimentary performance) would have been decent. But if I had paid money and driven 50 kilometers to sit in a corner, it really wouldn't have been worth it.

I stayed at this hotel before for a ski trip and thought it was excellent. It's close to the slopes, the service is great, and the breakfast is good too. This summer, with the continuous high temperatures in Beijing, I booked this place in Chongli for my parents to escape the heat. This was the first place that came to mind. It's close to Cuiyun Mountain, with plenty of vegetation and high oxygen levels. Transportation is also very convenient, with a shuttle bus available. I had a slight issue with the booking process, but the hotel's butler, Linda-fan, was very patient and helped resolve it. Her service was absolutely fantastic; she was thoughtful, kind, and beautiful, and even provided conveniences for my parents' trip. They had a very happy vacation, truly a great trip. I'll definitely be back during the winter ski season this year.

Pros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a variety of restaurants right outside the back door. During my stay, I enjoyed Korean BBQ, regular BBQ, hot pot, and iron pot stew – all delicious! The only minor downsides were the limited vegetable selection and prices being a bit higher than Beijing, but that's typical for mountain areas. The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive: air conditioning, hot water, and soundproofing were all perfect. The pool, gym, and reading room were great spots to pass the time on rainy days. The pool has separate sections for adults and children, and the water isn't too deep. If you go, make sure to bring all your gear! Cons: The breakfast menu remained largely the same for the entire week. The Western options were decent, but the Chinese breakfast was too monotonous. Lunch and dinner were essentially just rebranded breakfast items. Laundry requires purchasing tokens at the front desk, and washing and drying are charged separately at 50 yuan each. Suggestions: Without significantly increasing costs, the menu could definitely be diversified. Given the number of seniors with children staying at the hotel, easy-to-store and transport vegetables like bean sprouts, shredded potatoes, tofu, and tomato with egg could be rotated more often. The sauces for noodles and the porridge options could also be varied. Please, please don't serve the fruits and drinks so cold – my stomach can't handle it!

Last year, I stayed at Taizi Apartment, which was a guesthouse. This year, I'm at Zhangjiakou Genting Taizi Apartment, which is a hotel. They're basically in different buildings within the same complex, and the facilities aren't all that different. There's an underground parking lot, and you can also park for free on the street. The complex itself is lovely and peaceful; there were no mosquitoes in the summer. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and tidy. The previous Taizi Apartment provided disposable sheets (laid directly on the mattress, no other sheets) and disposable towels. This Zhangjiakou Genting Taizi, however, is more like a hotel, offering proper sheets and bedding, as well as reusable towels. They provide four bottles of drinking water and even an induction cooktop for preparing meals. There's a 'Taizi Canteen' in the complex serving home-style stir-fries; the prices are reasonable, and the food is decent. However, there are absolutely no other dining options nearby. The area around Celebration Plaza still has a much better variety of restaurants and entertainment. Chongli is quite cool, so there's no air conditioning in the room, but it doesn't get too hot. The soundproofing in the room is average. Since most guests at this hotel are here for off-road races or winter skiing, there's constant loud chatter and traffic in the hallway all day long. Even the cleaning staff were making noise from 7 AM until noon, so it was pretty much impossible to rest in the mornings.

👍🏻 Highly recommend the 'Squirrel's Tail' family suite – it's a dream room for three generations! Traveling with my parents and 3-year-old daughter, we wanted to stay together but still have private space, and this room solved all our travel pain points! The sliding doors offer flexible partitioning, two bathrooms mean no more fighting for the toilet, and the unique car-themed bed is super spacious, ensuring both adults and kids sleep soundly. 🚠 The package deal offers incredible value for money, including 3 breakfasts, 3 cable car tickets, and 3 hot spring entries. Breakfast is rich and varied, with bright window seats providing a fantastic ambiance for dining with a view. Just downstairs on the first floor are Gyu-Kaku yakiniku and a cinema, making dining and entertainment incredibly convenient without needing to travel far. ⛺️ The room comes fully equipped with kid-friendly amenities: children's toiletries, a small tent, and pretend play toys – everything a young child needs when traveling. I must commend the front desk staff, Ms. Xiao Tong, who, after I added her on WeChat, patiently and thoughtfully answered all our questions about the room and activities. So gentle and attentive! ❤️ 😉 All conveniences for dining, entertainment, and accommodation are covered. The whole family was incredibly comfortable, scoring full marks. I sincerely recommend this to all families traveling with seniors and young children – just go for it!

Overall, the hotel is quite good. The location is excellent, with ample free parking. Across from the Xuanhua Museum (the former site of the Chahar Democratic Government) and the Catholic Church, it's about 400 meters from the historic Chaoyang Tower. It's also not too far from Gongji Tower (South Gate), Zhenshuo Tower (Drum Tower), and Qingyuan Tower (Bell Tower). The front desk service was friendly and professional. The rooms are small, with no extra space for luggage. My biggest complaint was the breakfast. For a four-star hotel, the breakfast selection was limited, with no Western pastries, and milk served in thermoses (a first for me). Meals were served only at 9:00 PM.

For a ski trip to Genting, I highly recommend staying at Genting Residences. You can literally ski in and out of the resort, which is incredibly convenient. After a short ski, you're right at the cable car, saving you a lot of hassle with driving or walking – a huge time-saver! Just a little further down, you'll find the Genting Ski Resort lobby and the Genting Grand Hotel, making dining and shopping super easy. When you're tired from skiing, coming back and relaxing on the balcony in the sun is just pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, and the underfloor heating is wonderfully comfortable. Having stayed in at least a dozen ski-in/ski-out hotels, Genting Residences is my absolute top pick. This is the kind of quality accommodation every skier deserves.

Traveling with kids is all about the experience, and this hotel was much more fun and lively than Fulong Holiday. We stayed in a family suite, and the bunk beds were spacious enough for both kids to sleep comfortably, leaving plenty of room to move around in the main area. The breakfast was delicious and unique. There are lots of outdoor activities, and you can even go hiking – it was so much fun! They also had evening entertainment. This stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Zhangjiakou in December for the first time for both travel and skiing, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They immediately noticed that we were traveling with children and had quite a bit of luggage, and proactively offered assistance, which made us feel very well cared for right away. The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different tastes, and the availability of late-night snacks was a wonderful bonus, especially after a long day of skiing. Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Atour to anyone visiting Zhangjiakou.

I arrived at the front desk at 1 PM, but the hotel said they couldn't process an early check-in and I'd have to wait until the room was cleaned. This meant I couldn't use any of the other amenities included in my hotel booking. The front desk at Huanhuo Hotel was incredibly chaotic, with individual guests and tour groups mixed together and no staff to direct them. The first time we tried to check in, there was only one employee handling check-ins while a long queue formed, and three employees were standing at the check-out counter. It wasn't until we threatened to complain that a gentleman finally stepped in to resolve the issue. After checking in, I found hair on the sink and stains on the duvet, which might have been minor oversights due to a rushed cleaning. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was extremely low. Considering the overall service quality of the hotel, we decided to tolerate it rather than contact the hotel again. Overall, the stay wasn't good value for money. Only a quarter of the shops in the commercial street downstairs were open, so we had to go to the town for meals. License plate registration for parking was manual and not very smart; we were stopped by security twice upon entering and exiting, but thankfully they let us through after we showed our hotel booking.

Every year when I come to Chongli for summer, I usually stay at Fulong. This time, since they were fully booked, I ended up at Tangyin. There's plenty of parking, and while the room isn't huge, it's clean and tidy with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The bedding is comfortable, the TV allows screen casting, and there's air conditioning, which is really necessary in Chongli during summer. The front desk staff and the cleaning ladies were all very enthusiastic. For dinner, the hotel's restaurant serves freshly made steamed dumplings that are light and tasty, and the small baked flatbreads are crispy. It's perfect if you're looking for a light, simple meal. The breakfast selection is also quite rich. The hotel is conveniently located near various popular restaurants and local vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables. There's one lady who sells incredibly delicious fresh braised tofu and soy milk. It's a great value-for-money hotel, and I'll definitely stay here again next year when I visit Chongli.

The room was spacious, easily accommodating our family of four, including elderly parents and a child, with its separate bedroom and living area. It even had a kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, and a large refrigerator, just like at home, which was perfect for storing food, and keeping drinks and snacks chilled or frozen in summer. The hotel is very close to the town center, practically right downstairs. Just a few steps away are the dining and commercial streets. It's close to KFC, and there are also many Chinese restaurants and food trucks, with all sorts of entertainment options concentrated here. The best part was the hotel's hot springs, with multiple indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor ones felt really pleasant and not stuffy. They lit up at 7 PM, creating a lovely ambiance. It was also very convenient to access the hot springs directly from the hotel corridor. The hotel breakfast was predominantly Chinese, and quite filling.

Our family stayed in a D-block mountain view room at Nanshanli Hotel in Thaiwoo Ski Resort. The moment we opened the door, the floor-toceiling windows immediately filled our vision with lush green mountains, blue skies, and white clouds. Our child excitedly pressed against the window, refusing to move – this choice was absolutely perfect! First, about the room itself. The mountain view room in D-block offers an excellent vista. In the morning, you can watch the misty mountains, and in the evening, enjoy sunsets painting the ridges red. It was cool enough at night that we didn't need air conditioning; sleeping under a light blanket to the sound of the wind was an absolute luxury for us city dwellers. The room was spacious and very comfortable for two adults and one child. The facilities were new and clean, and the small table and chairs on the balcony became our family's 'treasured spot' for tea and relaxation. Bringing the child was incredibly easy. D-block's G-floor has a craft room and a game room, so we could 'deposit' our child there to play just by going downstairs. The 'Hi-Sen Paradise' on the first floor completely tired out our little one, and there's even a deer park at the entrance, where feeding the deer and alpacas became a daily ritual. The hotel offers kids' club托管, allowing adults to finally break away to enjoy the hot springs or explore the town – truly something for everyone. The service was also wonderfully heartwarming. The front desk staff patiently introduced attractions and activities. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus to and from the town and the high-speed rail station, making travel stress-free. In short, Nanshanli in August fulfilled all our desires for escaping the heat, entertaining the kids, and relaxing. Especially the D-block mountain view room, which ensured we woke up in a good mood every day. Our child keeps talking about wanting to go back and feed the deer again, and we've already planned a second visit. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape into the mountains with their family for the summer!

The room was nice and spacious, with a balcony and fantastic views. During the National Day holiday, there was heating, though not extremely warm, but I didn't feel cold while sleeping. The bedding was very new, and the service was good. There were two pool tables on the first floor. The hotel is very close to the Fulong Town scenic area, making it very convenient to visit the town the next day and get there before the crowds. The morning city walk through Fulong Four Seasons Town was a great experience. The only drawback was the lack of food delivery options near the hotel; however, it's easy to find restaurants in Chongli District in the evening by car.

The hotel we booked has a pretty good location, right next to Fulong Ski Resort. You can park right at the hotel entrance. The hotel breakfast is decent, and there were a lot of kids from outside here for mountain biking, seemed like there was a competition going on. The front desk had a lovely young lady, I think her last name was Li, who provided excellent service. The charming young man working with her also left a good impression on us.

The price included a two-person cable car, so it was pretty good value for money. We stayed with our 1.5-year-old baby, and by moving the sofa next to the bed, it perfectly transformed into a low-walled crib, where the baby slept soundly. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the middle of town, with direct access to the underground parking. You see pets everywhere. If I had to give some feedback, it would be that the room lighting is too dim – it's a no-main-light design, which makes it tiring to see things. Also, the breakfast felt a bit lacking and not very abundant.

Room was warm and stuffy. Staff did not mention the air conditioner was not in use prior to check in. There werent enough ventilation through the night as there only one small window that could be opened, and there’s an air purifier, which they mentioned could function as a fan but with minimal efficacy. Staff did mention about changing room at night when we informed then it was warm, but we dont think that would make any difference at all. All in all, we suggest they provide a proper electric fan which serves a good alternative to switching off the main air conditioner due to autumn.

The service was excellent! They called before check-in and after check-out, which was a thoughtful touch. They have a homemade perilla plum drink in the lobby that's really delicious! The view from the lobby bar is unbeatable~ The room amenities are also complete, everything you need is there. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was definitely enough! And most importantly, everything tasted great 😋 The pool is 20 meters long, and it wasn't too crowded. I'll definitely come back next time!

Stayed for 2 nights~ Good experience~ Booked twin room, with balcony, outside is mountain view~ air is good~ The indoor space is spacious, the bathroom is very dry and wet~ The hotel facilities have a gym, a small children's amusement park, and an outdoor central square to fish~ The children's happiest is the pool, staying for 2 nights and playing 3 times is not enough~

This was my second stay at this Holiday Inn Express. It's conveniently located, less than a 10-minute drive from the Old Train Night Market. There's a supermarket right downstairs, and ample parking is available. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, were all excellent – very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel room is spacious and clean, the breakfast is good, and it also has its own bathroom. I stayed for three days in total. On the last day, there was a problem with the heating pipes. The hotel was afraid that it would be cold at night, so they took the initiative to change the room to a new hotel nearby in the same group. It was very thoughtful.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing vacation. You can see the hills and blue sky while lying down – very pleasant. The bedding was also quite comfortable, and I slept very well. The food at the bar was delicious; nothing was disappointing. The gym is well-equipped, very quiet, has many windows, and offers great views. I had a very satisfying three-day stay and highly recommend coming here to unwind! 👍

I booked this hotel for my friend then my friend give very nice review to this hotel. :) My friend's review : I am from Medan ,Indonesia .I can't resist writing a review of this hotel. The service at this hotel is very good that I feel comfortable like at home. So you don't feel lonely even if you stay 20 days at this hotel. Breakfast and lunch suit my tongue. And when I encountered difficulties I was greatly helped by 姚主管 . When package from another city is sent to me that is sent to the wrong address. I was also helped by the hotel vice president directly to pick it up. Also helped with food delivery by Xiao Chen Supervisor. When I checked out I was given ride by the hotel to the railway station. It really a very good experience , meeting very kind people at this hotel. Will stay at this hotel when I come back. A hotel with feelings, a hotel with a story, a hotel with memories. The name of the store and the atmosphere in the store complement each other, slow down and feel the time, and live here leisurely and at ease. The environment is elegant and quiet, away from the noise, the room is warm and healing, and the fatigue of the journey is smoothed here. I specially chose the time stroll hotel, and the experience is full! The room is well lit, the hygiene is meticulous, and the corners are cleaned up. The front desk staff is gentle and the check-in efficiency is very high. Traveling around and eating are very convenient, and the night is very quiet. The rest is particularly practical. This is the first choice for travel and accommodation.

Very satisfied with this stay! I helped my parents set the hotel, and my parents were very, very satisfied. The hotel knows that there are elderly people, and they give good care and care throughout the whole process. The parents said that the room was clean and warm, the bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete, especially the water pressure and hot water in the bathroom were very powerful. The whole butler service, warm and thoughtful, from the front desk to the room service, people feel intimate. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good. Parents said that the scenic spot is very quiet, the environment is very good, the fifth is very lively, there are many performances, I want to take the children to go again. I will choose you next time I come here, and I will recommend it to my friends! Thank you for your service! A satisfied guest.
