This was the first time I was staying at this hotel and will definitely return. The location is perfect in the Puerto Santa Ana area, near restaurants, coffee shop, bars, etc. Most importantly, I felt very safe in this area. The service was good, except that the first time I had breakfast there, I was practically chased by the waiter to pay. I told him to put the check in my room and he mentioned that they didn't have a card on file. I had submitted my card when I checked in but I guess it was not registered by the receptionist for additional charges. I told him I would bring the card down. Well, he was already waiting for me by my door when I got to the room. It was quite annoying the lack of trust. I was not trying to walkout on the check! Anyways, the next time I went to have breakfast I made sure to bring my card. I found breakfast to be expensive by the way. You can find cheaper food around the area. I would recommend the hotel for its location as the rooms are ok but found them a bit outdated. I thought it was very nice that they offer hotel transfers at no cost. My driver waited for me for a bit since my flight had been delayed, That was really appreciated.

My sister and I stayed here for a couple days before our trip to the Galapagos Islands! What a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful looking over the river, and the food at resturant was first rate. However, what really made the stay stand out was how helpful and friendly the staff were. When I found out I needed to leave luggage behind for my trip to the Galapagos, the hotel not only let me store it safely their for a week, but offered us use of the pool and a shower before our long flights to return home. Special thank you to Luis, our shuttle driver who patiently helped me pick up my sister from the airport and greeted us when we returned from the Galapagos. If I'm ever back in Guayaquil, I will be staying here!
