We had high hopes for our stay given the lovely room overlooking the pool and the price we paid for it. But it didn't live up to expectations. We tried to go swimming in the indoor pool but the surroundings of it were too dirty to risk it- it was a busy weeekend but this area should have been cleaned regularly. Our first major disappoin**ent was dinner. Our pre dinner drinks order took 30 minutes to fulfill. When our mains finally arrived, 3 out of 4 were cold. Finally, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed. Our neighbours were loud and the noise led to a very poor night's sleep.

Really nice hotel. Great location, lovely bed and room decor. Room was pretty noisy, as windows are in the car park and door is by lobby and lift, so lots of people at all times coming by. I didn’t ask to be moved as I was only there 2 nights and I’d already unpacked when I realised how bad the noise was. On the flip side, the room was really handy for popping in and out as near all hotel facilities. Staff were all very helpful and nice. Pool was excellent! I would definitely go back but would prefer a different room, on the sea view side.

The hotel staff were fantastic and soo helpful, the reception staff were friendly and efficient, even after check out they allowed us to park on site free of charge, which was lovely as we had three kids with us, so having to find parking was going to be difficult. The room was nice and big and we could see the beach and sea. Would definitely be coming back to this hotel for its service and it being within feet away from the beach!

Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is situated just off the main Dorchester to Swanage road and has a good sized car park. Despite the road being busy in the day time it was quiet a night and there wasn't much road noise in the bedroom even with the window open. It has lovely village location within an easy walk to other pubs, Corfe Castle and a bus stop a couple of hundred yards away. We used the bus to travel to Swanage then walked the coastal path via Old Harry Rocks to Shell Beach and then took the ferry to Sandbanks, walked along the beach then boarded the bus back to Swanage on Sandbanks. Travelling then back to Corfe Castle on the Steam Train. A great day out. The buses are currently operating a £2 fare. We travelled by car in the other direction to do a circular walk around the Durdle Door area and White Nothe- parking is pricey here £12 for the day. Check-in at the hotel was welcoming and we were shown to our room and assisted with luggage. The room (a Terrace View) was quite cosy. Very clean and well presented . The two chairs in the room were not very comfortable - they were very upright and basic. Towels were good quality. The bathroom had a shower/sink and toilet. It could have done with a shelf in addition to the wall mounted narrow depth mirror/cupboard. to put a make up bag etc on. The mattress was not to our liking at all despite it having a topper on it. It was extremely soft and 'saggy'. If you laid close to the edge you rolled off onto the wooden bedframe and there is a hollow in the mattress in the middle - your legs were higher than the rest of your body and we aren't oversize people. For the price of the room rate we expected a larger room with a better quality bed and chairs. The terrace is lovely although the wasps are very troublesome. We enjoyed a few drinks late afternoon here. The lounges and public areas of the the hotel are very clean and well presented. Mortons Manor has a lovely history to it too. Dinner in the hotel was great- for a small hotel it offered a good choice but the menu didn't appear to change throughout the three nights we were there. We ate there once. Service was excellent - they describe it as fine dining - the food is excellent and well presented however the glassware for the wine was poor quality - the glass was quite thick and not 'fine' quality glasses . The red and white were served in the same style of glass. Breakfasts offered a reasonable choice - not vast but was fine. The toast however was very dry. The Pork and Leek sausages were quite spicy. Service again was excellent. On check-out we were not asked if everything had been to our satisfaction or had we enjoyed our stay...are they becoming complacent?

We thoroughly enjoyed a two night break last weekend. The room was warm and comfy, the panelled lounge fire was a welcoming sight as were all the staff - special shout out for Jack who made my birthday extra special. Fantastic food - worthy of a Michelin star. without a doubt.

We stay at the Hilton Bournemouth in September. We arrived at reception but there was no-one to help us unload the luggage from our car. I asked for the luggage trolley and when the reception realized that I was intent on using the trolley for my luggage, they immediately helped out. We booked a King Guest room, but we were upgraded to a King One Bedroom Suite with sea view. Reception took our luggage up to our room which was a nice touch. The room itself was very nice - there was a balcony with lovely sea views, a toilet, a large bathroom (with shower, toilet and bathtub) seating area and dining area. We stayed in a suite before (one the first floor), but this was much better. We had use of the small Executive Lounge which was nice because we could get soft drinks and coffee anytime. There is a happy hour 6-8pm serving wine, beer and snacks. I was impressed by the cheeseboard laid out every evening. Breakfasts were nice. There was a huge selection to choose from and they could cater to every need. The staff every morning was very welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. They were very nice people. My wife and mother-in-law had massages in the spa, and they loved them - very, very good service. I wish I had booked one myself. I only have some minor gripes; the minibar only contained two complimentary bottles of water. At night, we could hear the people in the room below us chatting. There was a strange pump sound coming from the bedroom door. These things are probably structural so there's no way of getting around them. Also, from our room we could hear the music from the nearby club, but it did not stop us from falling asleep. We bought our own drinks and the hotel barman was kind enough to give us glasses. I think the glassware could do with replacing because they looked very dull. Overall, another lovely stay at the hotel. The staff are very, very good - you can tell that they have been well trained. We look forward to our next stay at the hotel. It's a real gem. It's one of those hotels which makes so much sense.

Have stayed here 5 years ago and decided to revisit , we booked into room 627 with balcony but was told due to health and safety we was unable to go out on the balcony due to door problems so we was compensated for this and was happy with what was given so didn't spoil our stay . I hope I have spelt the 2 gentlemens names correctly on the front desk Kamil and Folla these guys were fantastic and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome we stayed 5 nights and I often witnessed in the lobby unreasonable guests and there demands and sometimes in un friendly manner yet these guys carried on smiling an sorted issues Hilton Bournemouth you would do well to keep hold of these guys as to be honest Hilton is Hilton and I have stayed in many but Kamil and Folla would be a reason to return just for the friendly welcome and hospitality they showed us . My wife also enjoyed the ambiance of the pool and staff who were very friendly as was all bar and breakfast staff cannot fault staff , only gripe I think more lounge seating needed

My wife and I have been visiting the Isle of Purbeck for over 40 years and have passed by Knoll House Hotel many times and said that one day we would like to stay there, an offer popped up on Travelzoo so we booked 2 nights half board in September. We found out that the hotel had been recently purchased by the Kingfisher group. I imagine the hotel will have some money spent on it and certain areas do need this but I would hate it if it lost any of its charm. Some of the rooms were really charming with a 1950s feel (I think they call this post-modern!) Our bedroom room was fine, it was clean and so was the en-suite although a bit on the small side, however this was more than made up by the wonderful views from the window, Sandbanks and Bournemouth on one side and Old Harry Rocks on the other - magnificent! The staff were extremely good, from reception through to waiting staff and barman. The food was excellent, no complaints at all. Breakfast was buffet style (not a fan) but there were some choices of freshly cooked dishes, we had smoked haddock with a poached egg which was perfect. For the evening meal there was an excellent choice of courses most of which changed on the following night and what we had was very well prepared and imaginative. Apparently they don't do lunchtime meals at the moment but they have built a bistro which opens soon, we had a sneaky peak and it looks very nice. There are 2 smallish swimming pools, indoor and outdoor but we didn't use them, they supply pool towels which I believe are complimentary. We will definitely came back to Knoll House, it will be interesting to see what changes they make.

We stayed for 3 nights. This is our third stay at Knoll House and whilst it retains its old world charm, certain things are creeping in which are having a negative effect. When we stayed last year they had a sweet buffet. It was divine! Sadly this has now been done away with. There always used to be a set menu (which in my humble opinion is quite pretentious and fussy). However, there would also be a daily specials menu so at least you had a bit more choice. This time round - no daily specials! In desperation we spoke to Alex the restaurant manager who had a word with the chef and a vegetarian and meat option were put on as specials for that evening. Our lovely waiter Liam said they had been flying out the door! The worse decision has been to do away with table service at breakfast and go for a self service approach. Bad decision if the managers ever look at reviews! It is nice to be waited on, to chat with the staff and have a piping hot plate of food delivered to your table. It is not nice battling with the lids on the luke warm food containers and fighting with the rubbish drinks machine - honestly, it's rubbish! And no fresh fruit salad?!! A very bad decision. We opted for housekeeping which is only available every other day. Our room wasn't cleaned at all. And as usual we had to query our bill which was wrong (its always wrong). The restaurant staff were lovely, helpful and friendly, in particular Alex, Liam and Sam, well done to all of you. The best bit of our stay? Waking up in the morning, opening the curtains and looking out over Studland Bay.

We stayed overnight and thoroughly enjoyed our room. It was very large and luxurious. It even had a great view of Bossier City and nearby Shreveport. The room is extremely attractive and comfortable. We highly recommend it. We are not gamblers, but our local friends tell us that Margaritaville provides an excellent ****** experience.

Walls are thin! When a train goes by it sounds like there’s a drum line playing outside your window. The early morning trash trucks emptying the dumpsters were literally a rude awakening. I’m not sure what time the twangy country music stared playing on the boardwalk speakers, but we could clearly hear it from our room. We booked a suite specifically for the sofa bed option so our kiddo could be with us, but somewhat independent. There was no extra bedding for it in the room. When we called the front desk to have it sent up, we were told we’d have to come downstairs to get it ourselves. Not only was the room not prepared, there was no apology or any attempt to make it right from the hotel staff. I’m sure this seems petty, but my company lives and breathes customer service. This would’ve been an easy win for this hotel.

Great room but it was overbooked. So they canceled our reservation and we ended up paying a higher rate. I would give the hotel a five out of four I will give your service a one out of five. Your rates very deceptive because the hotel was overbooked by your company so hotel cancelled your reservation and we got charged a much higher rate. The only room available was not appropriate for our party. It was embarrassing! I would hope that Trip.Com would make it right with this customer.

The hotel recommended by a friend is very good. Hilton is the best choice in the United States. It never disappoints me. I will stay at this hotel next time I have the opportunity to go to Shreveport.

Let me begin by saying we’re “Diamond” with Hilton. (Not bragging, just setting up my review.) At check in, we ask where the elevators are, and proceed to, what we thought, was our room. After repeatedly trying our key, we heard a voice say, “who is this?!” Turns out, they share the building with another Hilton property. Seems like the staff could’ve prevented this embarrassing incident. Secondly, we brought dinner to our room. Because we’re quite familiar with this hotel brand, we knew we’d have plates & silverware. Nope. Every, single piece was dirty in the dishwasher that nobody had run. Third, we thought we’d enjoy some pool & hot tub time. Well, the jacuzzi was out of order and, despite it being July in Louisiana, the pool was ice cold. Lastly, we bought a few things at the grocery store for the fridge. Every time we thought we’d closed said refrigerator, I’d walk by and it was ajar. Folks, these may not seem like much to y’all but, when you add it all up, it’s very disappointing. Hilton, you can do better than this.
