The hotel is near the train station. Turn right and then turn right for five minutes. It is 20 minutes by car from Machu Picchu Scenic Area. The hotel service is great. It is a pleasant surprise hotel. It is located at 2020 meters above sea level and between the highlands and the rainforest. It has a private botanical garden of 50 hectares. Among them, the most famous is the orchid garden, with as many as 372 varieties. The hotel has arranged various activities at all times, and has a plant expert who took me to watch various orchids and how to make tea with plants. At the same time, I was fortunate to see the Peruvian national bird moving crown umbrella bird. The only regret is that the check-out time is 10 am.

While in Peru in March, my wife and I stayed at four different Inkaterra hotels. All were excellent, except for Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo. My displeasure with MP Pueblo was a result of what I considered the lack of service from the front desk, especially Joaquin. I went to the front desk and asked if we could check out an hour later. I was told I would need to come back in the evening. I came back in the evening as suggested and asked again about late check out. Joaquin, who was not pleasant when we checked in nor when I asked about late check out, responded you'll have to check later. He then said he call us and let us know, which he never did. I then asked Joaquin if I could get change for a 100 peso note so I could leave a gratuity for housekeeping. He told me that he did not have enough change. Other than this, what I fell, was a lack of service, our stay at MP Pueblo was excellent, including the room, the grounds, and the service of the rest of staff.
