The hotel is a legend and a brand in the industry. The hotel has retained its previous style well. The afternoon tea in the lobby and several bars are very unique. The hotel service is good and the location is excellent.

I never expected that the room costing more than 10,000 Hong Kong dollars per night was so small that it was difficult to open the suitcase. But after all, it is an old five-star hotel, and the service is really good. The butler team will contact you via WhatsApp during check-in to respond to your needs at any time. The location is also good, I am very satisfied with it for a few days!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with fresh flowers adorning the first floor, filling the air with a lovely fragrance. The decor is very cozy and boasts a classic English style. The bed and duvet are incredibly comfortable. Breakfast is à la carte, and some items require an additional charge.

Real five-star hotel, super good location, and service. Every floor of the hotel uses different colors to give the guests a good experience. If you don't consider the price, you will definitely come again.

A few points of flaws:
- The sliding door of the bathroom cannot be completely closed, leaving a gap, and cold air will flow into the bathroom when taking a shower
- The air conditioner only has a switch but no wind speed adjustment
- The breakfast is not stable, sometimes toast is served and sometimes not, and the service staff does not remember the name and room number
- It is a bit noisy at night next to the road
- There is only an alley leading to the hotel entrance, sometimes there is a traffic jam and it is not very convenient to travel

Absolutely five stars! Much better than the Ritz! Really considerate and attentive service! The room was upgraded and champagne was given upon check-in. A bottle of champagne was opened for free every day. The hotel is really generous!

Upon arrival, the hotel was pleasantly polite and welcoming, and the amenities and cleanliness were up to standard. However, the final email bill upon check-out was a bit surprising, with charges for items we didn't purchase. I previously complained to the hotel via email, and while I was ultimately refunded, it still left a very negative impression. The drinks and snacks in the mini-bar, purchased by a previous guest, were not recorded or restocked promptly, and the bill was instead charged to the next guest. Such disorganized management, completely inconsistent with the hotel's caliber, has completely eroded my previously positive impression of The Peninsula. I hope the hotel improves its management to retain its guests.

The location is excellent, just opposite Hyde Park, less than 5 minutes away from Buckingham Palace and 7 minutes away from Harrods. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are well-spaced, and the service is attentive. It is indeed a good choice for a vacation.

This is the best hotel in downtown Harare. The rooms are decent and relatively clean. There's a gym, dry and wet saunas, and a large outdoor pool. The weather was a bit cool when I arrived, so I didn't dare try it. There's a long-distance bus station nearby. Safety is average, so taxis are recommended for travel, and it's best to avoid walking alone at night.From$86

I booked the executive double bed room online and upon arrival they told me I could not stay in that room for one night because someone else had booked that room. I refused and told them I can not take another room . i was then told to top up usd$15 because the online priced are apparently different from their original prices. I wanted to speak to the manager but the stuff made it clear that the maanger can not be seen. at a certain point I waited almost 2 hours at the reception trying to get hold of the manager. if you wanna stay at this guest house dont book online, rather go in person and see what you are paying for. the location is good but I was disappointed with their services. they also need proper tissues and towels in their rooms .From$31

Booked this guest house based on the reviews that I had read. It is a very basic guest house and in my view, will require some improvements to meet some minimum international standards.
The positive is that the WiFi worked very well and hence once on site could stay in touch with family and friends. Also the staff were very friendly and appearedto work with what they had at their disposal.
Areas of improvements:
1. Not sure if the guest house had master keys to the rooms. Our room was never cleaned for the period that we were there. Not sure if because we went out with the key or we had to request for the room to be clean.
2. We were not given towels and it was good we have carried some towels with us. It will be extremely good to provide towels and should be already present in the room when the guest arrives.
3. The bathroom had no mirror so when I needed to shave, I had to come back to the bedroom to use the mirror.
4. It appeared the whole guest house has only one kettle and hence if you needed what water, you needed to request for the kettle. Worst still the bedroom did not have the socket for the kettle's plug and hence had to go back to the reception to heat the water.
5. Although the guest house is advertised as having a kitchen, this was in an outhouse and you have to leave the main guest house to use the kitchen. Worst is that the kitchen was not ready when we arrived and it is not well kitted, and in my opinion should not be advertised as a guest house with a kitchen.
6. Finally, the guest house did not have a stanby generator and on one of the nights, the lights went off from @2am local timm till mid morning.From$25

Visa on arrival is 60 USD. The overall cost performance of this guest house is high, after all, hotels in Harare are too expensive. There is free breakfast. The downside is that the WiFi is sometimes disconnected, the shower sometimes has no hot water, sometimes no cold water, and the water supply is unstable. For dining nearby, you can consider walking to Pick n Pay, where there are Chicken Inn, Bakery Inn, Pizza Inn, Nando's, Chicken Slice to choose from.
