Very compact building, the room design is also simple. The location is very central and it is convenient to go everywhere. The roof bar of the hotel is a great location to observe the square. When we arrived, the square was playing in the Three Kings Festival celebration. We didn't need to go to the square to see it. Facilities: The amenities are comprehensive and well-maintained. Elevators can get crowded during peak hours. The soundproofing of the room doors is a bit weak (you can hear it if neighboring rooms close their doors forcefully). Housekeeping sometimes forgets a small hand towel, and the tooth cups can occasionally be dirty. Otherwise, no major issues. The bed comes with a variety of pillows of different heights and firmness, which is great for sleep quality. There's a free-to-use safe in the room and complimentary Bibles available. The minibar also has chilled glasses. I hope they can add a security chain or a peephole to the doors for added security.
Cleanliness: Generally clean, but the nooks and crannies in the bathroom need more attention. Sometimes there are one or two small flying insects in the room.
Environment: The overall environment is very quiet, and the location is great. Many places are within walking distance, there's a bus stop nearby, and it's close to Palm Avenue with a supermarket within walking distance.
Service: Room cleaning is punctual every day, and the timing is perfect – it doesn't disturb guests who are catching up on sleep in the morning. The young lady who checked me in at the front desk on the afternoon of April 30th was incredibly friendly, patient, and approachable during our conversation. The ice cubes added to the whisky in the lounge weren't great quality; they melted too quickly, and the Aperol Spritz was a bit weak.FromUS$131

My stay at Meliá Alicante was unfortunately very disappointing, despite the hotel’s excellent location. The setting is truly beautiful, right by the sea, and that is probably the only highlight of my experience.
From the moment I arrived, the customer service fell far below expectations. I reached the hotel around 12:00 PM and was told I would be given a room with a living room and lounge area, but strangely, I was informed that I would not have the right to use that space. As a frequent traveler, I found this very unusual and confusing.
I was then told that check-in would be at 4:00 PM and that I would receive a call once my room was ready. However, no one contacted me. Around 4:00 PM, I went to the reception myself and was given a different room instead.
The situation became even more concerning when I reached the room and found the door already open. This was shocking and immediately made me feel unsafe. To make matters worse, the bathrobe provided was dirty. When I reported the issue to reception, it seemed they were already aware that the door was faulty, which is completely unacceptable from a safety perspective.
I would like to highlight that Trip.com handled the situation professionally when I contacted them, and they intervened promptly. Their support was far more reassuring than anything provided by the hotel staff.
What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of apology or accountability from the hotel. Even during check-out, there was no acknowledgment of the issues I had faced.
Overall, I deeply regret choosing this hotel. What should have been a relaxing stay turned into an uncomfortable and unsafe experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on the level of service and attention to guest safety.FromUS$170

Workers at reception were very kind and treated us greatly. Breakfast was delicious and had many alternatives to choose from. In terms of location, about a 30 minute walk from town centre, but very useful if coming from the airport as it's only 15/20 minutes away by car (taxis are relatively cheap from this location to the airport). Nice terrace and jacuzzi. Would definitely recommend and would return if I were to visit Alicante again.FromUS$110

I had a comfortable stay at the Ibis hotel before my flight home. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the necessities needed.
The location is peaceful and ideal for getting to the airport for an early flight via the shuttle bus. The staff were friendly, but the only small drawback was that the dinner menu at the hotel was very limited to a few options.FromUS$50

I have stayed in Alicante several times. The hotel setting is not comparable to domestic five-star hotels, but it is simple and clean. The room size is also OK. Sunrise, get up early and go downstairs and wait for the sunrise at the beach, the view is great. In the evening, walking on the promenade by the sea is very comfortable. The hotel's breakfast is very good. Generally, you can't eat much breakfast abroad. This breakfast is especially good for adults. It is recommended to continue this one later!FromUS$203
